The room i had wasnt worth wat i paid for
Location close to station
Not a lot
Very noisey due to bins and bottle banks been emptied during the night.we where on the 3rd floor and was woken by It,we struggled to get back to sleep.told staff but was given the impression this was not the first time someone had complained.
Breakfast and location of hotel was great.
Internet was horrible.Very poor speed couldn't do anything on internet during my stay.
rooms; cold, ripped wallpaper, no windows in room, no ceiling light, no doors on wardrobe, no free plug sockets
Just the location
No window in bedroom, no big light, holes in carpet and chair in room, decor very dated and only had 1 towel in the room on arrival. Walls were paper thin so very difficult to sleep in.
Location is excellent.
Me and my wife and our 2 months old baby travel to Manchester to deal with some business. So we did informed the hotel that we're coming with a 2 months old baby and need a cot to be prepared. They did have the cot in the room for us, but to our suprise. The cot mattress is literally a piece a wood wrapped around with bedsheets. And the space around the room is extremely small considering for the price.
The fire alarm went off and made us late for our show and then in the morning the fire alarm went off again to wake us up and ontop of that I found dirty nickers under the bed
The bed was comfy!
The fire alarm went off three times and we only stayed there 1 night, staff didn't know whether we had to leave or not, very confusing!! Very basic room facilities however was very cheap to stay
The bed was comfortable and the location was perfect for my requirements.
Had to virtually fix the heater myself, the television was one of the old clunky ones, but it may as well have been made of stone as it produced neither picture nor sound, the fan in the bathroom sounded like Concorde, I had to negotiate with the cold water tap to get it to turn on, the bathroom floor was dangerously slippy, the 'make my room up' sign for the door handle was strangely reversed meaning my room wasn't serviced when I got back after work, the lifts were slow and unreliable and breakfast was really poor by today's standards. All in all a very poor experience that will be avoided at all costs in future.
The location and ease to check in.
The fact i paid 180 for a bog standard room for one night when it stated 'executive'.
I had to upgrade as first room was not good but was still good value for money second room was good
we liked the location, breakfast was good, bed linen clean
the rooms are very tired looking, mirror hanging off on wardrobe door, dirty lampshades on bedside lamps and mould/mildew in the bathroom. broken window catch, chipped paintwork, tried for over an hour to get room service
Bed was comfy
Noise from street , breakfast not early enough , room decor wallpaper hanging of ceiling tv reception poor
The masterpiece of the architectural syle
It was cheap and has a faded grandeur.
Things broken, looked rough, poor service, faded and tired and not the hotel it once was...
Location was good, stayed before in standard room but booked executive this time, room was small, one socket that was by floor so.useless, shower was ok for me but if you're above 5 foot 3 your head would be touching shower head.one sachet.of coffee each..all in all poor room and.disappointed customer!
We had an awsome suit when we just paid for a double bedroom. And the bath was amazing! Definitely going back with my boyfriend whenever we can.
not a business traveller's standard of hotel at all............
Good value,excellent location.Adequate breakfast. Quiet room.Lovely staircase
Excellent location - unfortunately that's the only thing that was good!
Where to start?? The air con wouldn't turn off (as the switch in our room didn't work) so it was akin to sleeping in an Asda freezer, the room had a smell that was reminiscent of a decaying coffin. The noise was ridiculous as we seemed to be under the army's training base for tank machines (aka the air con machine) . The room did have a great power shower except the moulding curtain acted more as a body wrap when the shower was active. Plus the decor, the 1840s paintings would of been well suited to a home for the elderly and immobile, but for a city centre hotel was rather bleak, however the peeling wallpaper and stained walls were rather distracting so kudos for removing the attention. I'd recommend this hotel as a waiting room for judgement day - at best!
The cost and location were great :)
The bed was never a double and the room was abit dated
I liked the location it was perfect and easy to get to everywhere.
I found the room very stuffy and smelt very stale as with the corridor because of no windows. It ruined my stay. Maybe more ventilation needs to be considered? Or let people no there is no windows...makes you feel like your in a prison.
Can't fault hotel at all
The fact I was woke up
