The check in staff were efficient and friendly

The hotel is clean enough and obviously has the potential to be extremely elegant and luxurious. I imagine it was in the past. Unfortunately it is now a bit run down and the rooms appear old fashioned and grubby. The beds were too short and the bath was dirty. The best thing about the hotel? It is a fantastic investment opportunity if you are brave

Staff were nice , as well as the great location with easy access to whole manchester

The hotel is too noisy ,I couldn't have a good comfy sleep because of the noise ,I could hear everything even foot steps of people walking in the street!!!. I had to checkout a night earlier coz of that. Also I put please clean my roon for 2 days and no one seems to bother.

i liked that it was close to the shops and trains

the hotel looks grand but the rooms need updating if i had paid full price i would have been very unhappy as the pictures are not what the rooms look like, and u dont have a great sleep as the outside noise is very bad

reception good convenient location

not an executive room as far as i could see, noise early morning with regard to bins etc stopped me sleeping. Also not allowed in club as after 11 one of reasons i stayed there

very dissapointed with Hotel

Problems with heating, only warm water, bath plug would not open, bed shabby reported to staff while went out to eat still not fixed on return had to be moved rooms did not expect this poor state for superior suite, the hotel decor was very tired and shabby.I live in the west midlands and due to my job i am now going to be spending 2/3 nights a week in Manchester very dissapointed wiyh hotel feel that i now need to look for different accomadation from new year. I would appresiate your comments

City centre location.

City centre location, therefore difficult to stay away from noise.

Room was clean and of a good standard. Excellent value for what we paid.

Great location with close proximity to the Manchester Conference Centre where I had a course. Beautiful building with relevant facilities.

When I first arrived in my hotel room, there was a big stain on the carpet, and the room smelt odd. It was as if something had been spilt, and great efforts had been made to cover it up. Also, when I tried to get through to room service in the evening, I could not, and I had to get reception to make my order for me (which they did do very promptly).

Central to city, easy access.

35 mins to check in, staff with very poor English and no life to 6th floor.

The hotel reception area was very grand.

We booked four rooms, three of which were not available when we arrived and so we were downgraded to rooms which didn't even have windows. We were not offered anything for this either.

I was given an upgrade which I appreciated very much. Lovely decor, excellent staff.

It's just unfortunate but the noise at night from the street/bar was absolutely deafening till the early hours. I know this is a general problem for most city hotels.
