Great base to take in the area, with super metro links.
Everything's were perfect. Especially restaurant and bar.
The TV was on the low table so we found difficult to watch the TV while we were lying on the bed
Disgusted that I was charged for using a debit card. Because of this I will not be using Britannia hotels again. They must be the only company left to charge for a debit card
We were very happy with our stay at the Britania Hotel. The room was excellent for the price we paid. We would definitely stay again.
Overall stay at your hotel was great value for hard earned money.
The room was very cold at night when sleeping. I had to take the quilt off the spare bed.
Car parking included.
Location re airport. Parking facility. Good value when parking included.
Bar Happy hour, and nice food. Walking distance to the airport, and reasonably priced. Friendly staff
Room had a damp smell.
Cheap and very close to the airport terminal. Bar area quite nice.
I booked a single room which was cramped had faulty heating (with a plug in replacement). I had stayed before in double rooms and they are ok
Not a lot
We went away to have a rest for the weekend the bathroom was nt like before there was mould around the bath bed wasn't changed and tele had 4 channels it my not be to everyone but that was the point relax tele and go out the noise in the next room was awful when reception was told about tele and noise the tele was a only 4 channels no help nothing and about noise in next room I try to deal with it very poor we won't be using this again
Free parking Friendly staff Walking distance to airport
Felt breakfast was over priced. Other guests a bit noisy at first. No hot water in the afternoon on arrival.
Very old and put of date, no hair dryer, not so clean
Location and value. However only a few pound cheaper than nearby hotels that are much better.
Ultra dated, strange smells everywhere, felt like an old peoples home from 1970
Very convenient for the airport terminal; excellent value when you factor in the (free) week of airport parking.
the "help yourself breakfast"...
no pedestrian pathway from the aiport to the hotel.
I got an excellent price room only for a one night stop. Happy hour beer at £2 and excellent bar snack food.
The room stank of cigarette smoke, as a non smoker this is very noticeable to me.
This hotel is ideal for a night's stay before catching an early plane. They do a very good deal to stay overnight and park your car for a week or a fortnight and the location is excellent less than 5 minutes easy trolley-push from the terminal building. The room we had was big enough to spread out and pack (and re-pack) our bags. The restaurant staff were helpful and friendly even if they were a little unsure of the food and wine available. The steaks we had were very good.
The bed and pillows were a bit hard but I guess that is down to personal preference. The receptionist was unhelpful, unsmiling and generally lacking in customer service skills. To be fair she was clearly struggling to deal with a number of customers with booking anomalies but she should have been better trained and better supported. The waitress in the restaurant was was very friendly and helpful but similarly poorly trained and supported and she had to go off to find the answers to questions about the food and the wine. Even the chef did not seem to know that the " very mild" peppercorn sauce was so hot my wife couldn't eat it!
Right by the airport Garage shop next door Great deal on room Good breakfast Powerful shower Pool table Free wifi
Receptionist failed to book taxi requested the day before Mistakes in meal orders Dirty tables in bar (when it was practically empty)
Once again I stayed over at the Britannia Hotel, Newcastle Airport while awaiting a morning flight. The service given to me was again the same standard as I have experienced before....the buffet breakfast again set me up for my travelling and the single room was 1st class.I will be staying again in the future.
Clean room and crisp clean bedding, comfortable bed, Bar prices very good with fair selection of food, Access to Airport excellent ,
Quote £34 charged £36 , not a lot l know but ! Only one very minor item , one curtain partly hanging off in bedroom
Fire exit light in in room that couldn't turn off bed was small and uncomrftable hardly slept
The staff were friendly, The hotel was warm it was very cold outside, Although the room was not large it was more than adequate for our needs, Good firm mattress on the bed, Very good breakfast,
It would have been nice to have the option of chocolate or green/fruit teas in the room
No faults WiFi was. A little slow at. But got better
Windows were wide open Room was cold at first Howling gale outside
The staff were extremely accommodating, even letting us leave our luggage there while we went to Amsterdam between flights. The room was quiet, no airplane noise despite it being a five minute walk across the parking lot to get to the airport. If it is just a place to sleep and you don't want to pay more then it is perfectly adequate.
It is an old property in need of renovation and the room and bed was very small. It was just ok, somewhere to sleep to avoid a long trail in early in the morning, was just £10 more than the taxi from my house and we didn't have to get up at the crack of stupid. The food was over priced and poor. It's just a place to lay your head before a flight. There is no other reason to stay.
Location friendliness efficiency great hotel
