Proximity to transport Our room was a little tired - and the mattress was terribly worn out and needs replacing as not a good nights sleep. (Room 8 ground floor) |

THe receptionist, Phil I think was first class friendly, approachable informative, down to earth just what was needed when our stay was short and simply business. Thank him from us please. The matress was either very well used or particularly cheap. Thin and most uncomfortable |

Central position for my needs, which is why I chose to stay there. 1. Almost 'full'car park due to proximity to airport. No spaces reserved for guests. 2. 'Wardrobe' was just a hanging space too close to the wall to allow clothes to hang properly. 3. TV was 4 grainy analogue channels which is sub standard today. 4. Window could only be opened about 4 inches. 5. Shower was a fixed position. 6. No central ceiling light which meant parts of the room away from the bed were very dark. 7. 'Hospitality' tray included coffee, 2 tea bags and 2 plain biscuits. Overall the hotel desperatley needs a refurbishment but it probably generates high levels of income due to its proximity to Newcastle airport. If one of the major hotels was nearby (e.g Holiday Inn, Marriotts,) the Brittannia would be condemned. |

A very comfortable, good-value stop-over after my holiday abroad: the £5 breakfast offer went down well too! Not actually "dislikes", more "suggested improvements": 1) soap and shower-cream dispensers, and 2) bath/shower safety handle |

It catered well for veiggies and the breakfast was good.and the staff were very helpful. I din't find the coffee very good but I would not condemn a hotel on it's coffee alone. |

Closeness to international airport. Nicely proportioned rooms. TV. Tea coffee making facility. Warm and comfortable room, clean bedding and comfortable bed. Bar area looked warn and tired and somewhat dated. Would have thought a face lift and image change would help. Certainly not a come and enjoy my facilities appearance. |

The breakfast was pretty good and the hotel was surprisingly quiet given it's proximity to the airport. The bed was uncomfortable and there was no grab rail for the over-bath shower. |

easy access to airport for early morning flights I booked up for parking also and were issued with an out off date card to get us out of the long stay car park. I expected to be parked in the hotel car park but this is something I am aware of now and will always check the card |

In actual fact we were disgusted as the hotel said they did not have a reservation for us. They also said they only had one room when we had booked two rooms. The duty manager eventually managed to juggle things and we were given accommodation but this was a very bad start to our holiday. They also said we had not paid when the confirmation said the money would be taken out of my account immediately and it was non refundable. I had printed out the booking confirmation and showed it to the manager who has not in fact returned it to me. We are still in dispute with them |

Only a short walk across car park to Newcastle Airport, great value for money as price included car parking for 8 days. Very pleased with price from Booking.com. We arrived around midnight, Evening Chap on reception was helpful, but omitted to tell us that if we booked and paid breakfast (I asked for an alarm call) we would get it for £5.00 each (£20.00) we had to pay 10.50 each in the morning( £42.00) and when we came out I seen the notice at reception with the offer on it. I advised receptionist and she said she can't refund, I will be writing to the M.D., Put a damper on end of the holiday. |
