Britannia Hotel Newcastle Airport    

The convenience of staying at the hotel the night before flying, not having to contend with rush hour traffic and having a taxi at your disposal for ease of travel to the airport terminal.

Staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly

Rooms were so hot it was impossible to sleep and the windows hardly opened

Excellent - exactly as stated on the web. Good reasonably priced meals in the restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff

Pleasantly surprised that I did not hear any aircraft noises at all, in fact hardly heard anything at all from any other guests.

Car park spaces were few and far between, had to wait for other guests to move off to get a space. Size of the TV was a bit of an issue, could do with being updated.

The staff were friendly and helpful.

Convenient for the Airport, friendly staff, convenient bar, friendly early morning call and also a reminder which was useful at 3-15am. Park the car and know it is secure.

Excellent for access to Newcastle Airport - those without disabilities could walk to it. This is why I booked there again after staying there last Autumn.

Felt my room was good but the headboard of the bed didn't fit the bed so didn't look good. Also the bath outlet was surrounded with black mould and when sitting in the bath you could see that under the rim of the toilet it was quite grubby however both of these things would be easily rectified

Not keen on the food but will stop at hotel and eat elsewhere.

Price; less than half that of the newer hotel opposite. It looks nicer but overpriced compared to old Britannia brand. Good value for a bed to sleep for an early morning flight. Proximity to airport; straight across car park from airport check-in. Easy internet.

£2 extra for using credit/debit card - why? Why? Why? Why? Rip-off rip-off rip-off rip-off! Off putting smell on entry - almost asked for another room. Why was window open when it was zero degrees outside? Compared to other modern hotels, bathrooms need upgrade - ditch the bath? Shower only.

Excellent location. Fit for purpose

Good location, short walk from hotel to the main entrance to airport. The carvery in the restaurant was good, all food was hot and well cooked. Free WIFI available throughout all the hotel.

Hotel was very 'dated', needing a modernisation in rooms and corridors. The radiator in room 18 would not switch off fully, so it was very hot in room. The shower had to be set to maximum to get warm water, whereas the hot water in the washbasin was really hot! The decor was very dated, old bedroom furniture, old and very small TV in room. Limited TV chanels and no radio function.

Near airport.

After 22:30 hour and at 6:00 hours noise on corridor due to shouting and running children. Why don't their parents say something and control them. It is their responsibility.

Very convenient for flight the next day. Good value.

A member of staff could see I was struggling and helped me to my room with my cases on arrival. I didn't get his name but he was most helpful.

No fridge in the room and the room was warm so the cold drinks I had soon became lukewarm. Very noisy in the morning but don't suppose the hotel has much control,of the noise make by other guests.

The location to the airport is excellent. Good value if you are parking your car there whilst on holiday.

Rooms are in need of an uplift. We were not leaving car so price was not as good value as others nearby.
