Good connection to downtown. Quiet and clean environment and a hotel. Delicious breakfast. Rooms No. 1-20 are no windows - it was unfortunately our case.

It was the cheapest around as I was only staying for one night. It looked as if each member of staff brought a piece of furniture in they didn't want anymore, nothing matched! Peach curtains, red carpet, blue walls etc. It looked like nothing had been kept in any draws or cupboards for years. The window was a single pane of safety glass, which may as well of been none existent. Could hear traffic passing all through the night. The mattress was just pure spring, lucky I had a double to myself, had to sleep on top of the quilt and fetch the other half over to cover me. Not what I was expecting of a 3* it did make me laugh tho.

Furniture in the room was old and scratched, tear in the sheet, the windows were filthy. no choice of menu for evening meal(we had to go out to eat)waited at the bar for service but then had to go to reception for service, general decor in room and hotel in need of redecoration, also it was very noisy with street traffic would not stay again. would not recommend your hotel.

Location.7-8 minute walk to chalk farm tube station.pub, cafes and tesco express beside hotel.nice, safe residential area. night manager (female) was very rude, uncouth and extremely unprofessional.we stayed 4 nights and had to change room three times.at the first room, the staff had to shoulder in the door because the lock was broken.the room we were changed to offered no privacy and was suffocatingly hot.the plughole in the ensuite was broken so my partner had to shave using a cup.only instant coffee available, even at breakfast.overall unexceptable even for a two star nevermind a three star.

Even arriving at 1am the staff were still functional. The room was fair but I expected more for the Delux double and it was pretty average. I slept soundly and woke up pleasantly not too much noise in them morning pleasant stay overall. Would consider it in future but not the delux as I did not feel it met my expectation of others I have stayed in however its locaiton was awesome. :) Slight 70's look about the rooms needs updating the showers and bathrooms need updating and the rooms need some sort of climate control for guests. Perhaps even some biscuits to go witht he tea and coffee which they kindly provided but nothing was particulary unpleasant about my stay.

The only thing that was clean about the room was the sheets. I would have been better off staying at a hostel

The price was exceptional value for London - I think I paid £49 for my room. The courteous reception staff had noted my on-line request for my favourite room and had held it back for me: quiet and comfortable at back of hotel. Mind you, I wouldn't want to be at front of hotel on busy main road. Looks a bit scuffed and tatty from the outside

Single glazed windows, dated bathroom facilities. A youth hostel would have being cheaper, warmer & more modern than this hotel.

As in previous reviews the hotel does need updating but in the current climate I understand this is not always possible. The price we got was excellent . the staff are very accommodating and experienced. The location is excellent with great links to the city, chalk farm tube is about 8 mins walk away. The hotel is situation in a beautiful part of London right by primrose hill park and is very quiet. There are good cafes and walks nearby. The other bonus is the parking which is only £10 a day! They also allowed us to leave the car for the rest of the day after check out while we carried on enjoying the area, extra parking after midday on the day of checkout is only £2 an hour! As I said above the rooms are tired and the furniture a little tatty but this did not spoil our stay at all so not really a negative , in the current climate hotels are offering big discounts to encourage custom and therefore there is little profit to re-invest in their properties so we can't have it both ways. If you want quality and glamour in London( or anywhere really) then you will have to pay the price!

It was cheap and cheerful. Breakfast was reasonable and staff were helpful We booked an executive room and should have just booked a double. The room was freezing as the radiator was off when we arrived. It did warm slightly but the radiator was. Ot big enough for the room. The bedrooms desperately need a refurb. It was like staying in your grannies spare room. Bathroom had everything you needed but it was cold and the suite was very very old. This could be a great hotel but it needs serious money spent on it. ,

location - easy for chalk farm tube into london staff - friendly hotel was very quiet for london..great.:) nice bar and competitively priced meals was minus 3 outside so cold, hotel and rooms were warm, however my room let lots of cold air through bad seals on the window and framing, which was a £2 fix for the hotel to fix, they would proberly recoup the cost in a week by saved heating costs. i ended tucking curtains in and laying a couple of towels to block the cold air from coming in the room. shame really a small negative point, but a self inflicted own goal by the brittania..
