Hampstead Britannia  

Initially I stayed in room 20 in the basement , I never seen a room without a window !!! , I'm clastrophpbic , I wake up at 5.00 am in panic attack , I insisted to move to another room with window , I was transferred to a twin room in smoking floor , which I didn't like as I prefer a double bed & I'm not a smoker , but I had no other option .

it has a good location for me

It was clearly a spanginling 4 star hotel in the start of the 90s Since then not a single penny seems to have been spend on upgrading the fixtures and furnishings. 4**** might be a bit too generous evaluation. Ok to stay in though, but don't expect luxury or cleanliness

Friendly staff, on site car parking, balcony with lovely view across London and the location was very picturesque being tree lined an near park land.

The room was very hot as it was a bit of a sun trap and the door to the balcony requires a key from reception to open it. Sorry!

after booking online my comfermation sheet said breakfast for over night was £5.50 but that is not the case as I was told that was for coninental breakfast only ! why did it not say that very dissapointed in the way receptionist was adament it did not say that when it was down in black and white on the sheet.

Exceptionally good value, friendly, courteous and helpful staff. Very clean throughout. Convenient and pleasant location. Car park. Did not eat breakfast so cannot comment on this. Spacious room, good hot shower, bathroom well provisioned with fluffy towels, soaps, good heirdrier

It was dirty, run down, the staff didn't speak much English and were not willing to handle complaints.

The location of the hotel suited my purposes.There were facilities available(meals and bars etc) if I needed them.The number C11 bus stopped outside and Belsize Park tube station was a short walk away. Easy access to a variety of shops and restaurants met all my needs.The area was quiet but not isolated.

Although the room was very clean and comfortable, I felt that the bathroom was showing signs of wear and DIY maintanance.

Ease of access from North Circular after m4. Service from reception staff after being allocated very poor basement room. No windows in either bedroom or bathroom very not and stuffy this time of year. Room dealt with and we upgraded to a suite for £20 per night more which was in budget. Very good to return to a quiet location after gig and night out in Camden

Although we pre-contacted the hotel and they could not guarantee car parking, and being told we had a large 4x4 we were told that parking would not be a problem. It was and the only place tp park was on the road outside with parking available until 8.30am the next morning. would recommend that car parking is sought in Camden that was as low cost as the hotel charge if available.

Location

The people next to our room party all nite -did not get much sleep. I reported this at teh reception the morning after as I wanted to change room and they replied that the people next door had already checked out. Also, I noticed the staff at the reception helped some turists with their luggages, whilst did not help my mu and I. Rude

Cleanliness was exceptional as were the staff, breakfast offer of 2 for 1 great value. Although hotel a bit dated , could not fault it .

Nothing it was an absolute disgrace. Smelly carpets curtains falling off loads of noise. Terrible and dirty
