In a peaceful, rural setting just off the A45, the Quality Hotel Coventry offers free parking, free Wi-Fi access, a relaxing sauna/steam room, and is just a 15-minute drive from Birmingham...
Score from 612 reviews Good
No shower, ripped carpet, dirty toilet roll, unbranded tea and coffee
Bedroom was at top of stairs and everyone in hotel noisy till 2am then people leaving from 6am.. lack of sleep...
Location of hotel .... Convenient all round
Wished there had been fresh tea/coffee offered to each table at breakfast time.... That would have been much better than urn drinks.
The bed was comfortable but that was all
Decor in all of the hotel is tired and old and needs updating and our bedroom had only little windows at the top of the wall so hadn't got much light in the room
Reasonable price, room fine and food good.
friendly service, very clean, comfortable furnishings and location, ample parking.
The place is dirty and smelly. First apparent from pot holed driveway, litter strewn car park and in front of entrance to hotel. The place is in urgent need of decoration. The hotel is on the coach tour route so regularly used for a one night stop over - so I guess the owners could not care less what the place is like for guests, as no one in their right mind would ever go back. Pay the extra and stay somewhere else or sleep in your car. You have been warned!!!
The staff were fine in the most part.
Needs a serious refurb threadbare/ripped carpets. Fire doors that stick open ceilings that fell through. Could be fantastic but management need to spend
Evening meal and breakfast not the best quality
Cleanliness furnishing bBathroom had mouldy ceiling and walls but just a bed for a night
All staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful. Very dog friendly. Hotel was very clean and tidy but a bit run down. It was however great value for money and suited our needs.
The hotel was fully booked - at least 3 coach trips, so it was busy. Reception staff were able to tell us when best to go for breakfast to avoid the rush though. Plenty of food left when we got there! Very geared up towards coach parties - canteen like atmosphere. Everything was a bit jaded and could do with a revamp, but it was spotlessly clean.
For one night, for the money I paid, it was fine. Dinner was passable! Breakfast passable....for the B&B rate it was ok!
In its day 25 years ago, I bet this was some place...very grand. Its now looking tired, and unless you are part of a conference, I would only stay for a night or two!
Bathroom scruffy. Television poor.
What was there to like.
The hotel was badly organised, had to pay for room first then swipe my credit card again to use services for bar and restaurant this was after I got to the bar and got a drink with my wife. Why not do that on leaving and pay the bill altogether. Bar dirty, could do with a good clean. Bar food not upto much (only bar I know that doesn't do savouries like crisps and peanuts). restaurant looked like a Butlins holiday camp diner. Contractors in bar with rigger boots on and dirty overalls (lovely touch), Staff were rude on the bar apart from one young lady very pleasant. Had an executive room.. Wouldn't have called it executive, glad I didn't pay full rate. Bed was as hard as you like. 2 people 2 pillows between you, (wafer thin including duvet) In whole would not stay there again. Car park full of coaches and contractors vans. Website makes it look glorious, believe me it's not, stayed in better travelodges. Overal experience was not good, wife very dissapointed.
I enjoyed the facilities such as the pool, gym, jaccuzi.it was a nice and friendly environment.very posh indeed.
My room that I stayed in was extremely cold.although we had extra blanket and heating was on max. I would say for future reference guys.please provide a extra fan heater or install another radiator by the window. Also check the windows cos there seems to be cold air coming through aswell.
Was very impressed with staff who dealt with the room quickly and satisfactory Will definitely be visiting again
We requested a smoking room but sadly found that we never got that after security walked in our room
Staff were great
Rooms need deep cleaning and every door in the building needs a varnish. Looks dated and worn. Could be a beautiful hotel.
Fab breakfast, fab swimming pool and beautiful countryside setting. Such character...which modern hotels lack.
Very friendly staff
The hotel seemed a little tired, could do with a freshen up.
The Staff, large room, clean, warm, lots of parking, well priced, nice public space. Well priced drinks. Plenty of parking.
Dated rooms, worn and weary fittings thoughout, breakfast and dining room at peak time is a dreadful experience. Plenty of coach parties.
Room was terrible, stains on carpet and wallpaper coming off walls. Generator outside the room making alot off noise at night
DIY was old. Big bar needed to be open as no where to sit in little one.
Receptionist was polite and helpful.
They over booked double rooms which meant we had a twin, luckily the beds pushed together so our trip wasn't ruined
bathroom was old and lots of chipped tiles tv remote didn't work should have been double bed had two singles the tea and coffee surplied in room wasn't even branded stayed in a days inn in January and that was by far a better deal wont recommend royal court at all
Most of the stay
Some bar staff and restaurant staff were rude. Others were quite pleasant.
