The grounds were attractive and give a good first impression. The same applies to the main entrance. Friendly staff at breakfast.
The main hotel was in urgent need of decoration and repair. Holes in walls, a blocked sink, the jacuzzi in the bath was broken and dirty, damaged woodwork, vending machines in hallways, only a set menu in the restaurant so no choice and a broken hairdryer!
it has a great atmosphere like a ageing grand dame very good value for money plus location for us was perfect.
needs a complete refit on bedrooms furniture too old now feels tacky easier said then done I know would not sit on the bedroom chairs yuk
food was good breakfast staff very pleasant
flooring uneaven corridors stank no loo paper on arrival window in room cracked window sill very dirty bathroom very poor overall cleanliness was very poor
Rooms were nice
Breakfast was very basic
Amazing reception area. Attentive staff. Large room. Comfy bed. Quiet location. Clean.
Whole hotel a little tired and in need of some TLC. Old part lovely but definitely needs new carpets and upgrade of decor.
Comfortable bed and bedroom Nice grounds Easy parking Friendly service
Restaurant décor Quality of the wines available in the bar
old hotel but clean good location. good breakfast. Clean roooms. freindly staff . value for money
Room was Clean, staff very good
Carpets on stairs in need of replacment
location, environment, hotel, price
Noisy plumbing. Old gym equipment and no hand towels in dispensers to wipe them down after use. Visible cobwebs in bar area. Bar food served without cutlery! The most concerning aspect of my stay was a group of men in the bar area using repeated loud foul language which went completely un-challenged by the management. I saw numerous decent people leaving the bar area in disgust. Not impressed - I won't be returning.
Muy bueno todo,
Poco lejos de centro.
Staff friendly and helpful
Room 145 broken drawer knobs broken furniture. No bed headboard and stains on wall being hidden by pillows. Staff happy to switch rooms 115 larger .decor dated early 1990's bright flowery curtains. Every glass partition in doors was dirty and dirty windows . Hazard tape on broken steps seemed to be a theme. Empty cans and bottles littered on roof could be seen as windows were opened walking up staircase which was past the bar going up to belvedere. Also about 0715 for half an hour lots of banging from downstairs think this was staff in the kitchen. Breakfast self service sausages awful bacon very salty mushrooms underdone, not worth the extra money. To summarise outdated, shabby and a bit grubby in places. Needs money spending on it.
Reception Staff very helpful Nice setting & grounds Lots of space
Could not open a window (August) room was very stuffy and the heated towel rail was on all the time adding to the problem. Restaurant food was the worst ever I have had better in hospital.
Excellent all round service, staff were all polite and courteous, room was good although doors could be of better quality, as could hear most doors closing/ opening all night whilst trying to sleep Kind regards Kristyon bush
Location was good for what we needed. Room was a good size
Bathroom out dated. Bath is very old and too deep to get into even to have a shower, it as also dark as some of the light were out. Door didn't shut very well so was bit worried about security, also catches we're broken on the window so we could have them open, TV was out of the ark, all needs up dating.
Staff very helpful, altered meal times to accommodate large number of people rooms large, beds excellent Service and setting excellent
Some furnishings looked shabby, split upholstery etc.
Reasonably priced rooms for a hotel close to City Centre. Rooms are clean ans spacious.
Very dated decor, bedrooms in need of full refurbishment.
Spacefull rooms, big park outside, ground floor rooms available. No problems with dogs. Friendly staff. For us (and our needs) just perfect.
If you like a modern and a very "chic" hotel (in- and outside) it's not the place to go.
We asked for a room change to another level and they were more then happy to do this.
Breakfast was a mad rush and food was cold. Bathroom wasn't clean and there were 2 weddings on when we stayed we were paying guests too.. Think that was forgotten at times.
The deal offered value for money and in a good location. Ensuite had a Jacuzzi bath which was lovely. The staff at reception and on the duty management team are exceptional and the real stars of this busy hotel.
Executive room was clean but basic with refurbishment long overdue to overcome damaged furnishings etc..
I feel very welcome. The staff take into account my mobility difficulties. It's becoming a bit of a home from home!
Have absolutely no complaints!
Staff , gym , room , wifi
Location , room could do with a lick of paint !
Went to an event at the Ricoh Arena and stayed here for 4 nights. Bed was extremely comfortable and the hotel was nice and quiet. Taxi to and from the Arena was around £7 each time, so shared with 4 it was very reasonable.
Room was advertised as double however in reality it was one double bed and one small fold-out camp-bed.
First room I was given had two extractors out side window, window had broken glass and would not lock, second room had two windows that would not lock and no double glazing, some of the staff was not helpful when asked for something,
