Staff poor Room poor Food poor
We had trouble with our car and reception could not have done more to help apart from pulling on overalls
Excellent Staff, very friendly, polite and obliging, couldn't fault them. Nice clean restaurant with good self service food, comfortable bar area staffed by friendly and helpful people.
Dirty windows and carpets, cracked tiling, peeling wallpaper, cobwebs, dim lighting.
Value for money including good breakfast if required. Bar snacks reasonably priced plus facilities of a Spa
Initial room noisy because of constant noise of firedoor leading to upper floor. I would suguest avoid first few rooms on ground floor. TV not the same in each room, first room had full freeview channels plus radio. Second room just had basic TV
Location and value for money
Cleanliness of room & décor needs refreshing
The bed was reasonably comfortable and the tea and coffee facilities were o.k.
Room was o.k. although I was a little concerned that the electrical safety check labels were undated and one table lamp would not have passed the safety check. Bathroom was tired looking.
The location and the space with the fitness club. Great staff. Good breakfast.
Can't think of any. Given that it's 3 star hotel and they're living up to the standard.
Upgraded to executive suite
The elevator was a bit dated.
Had a good room which I assume was an upgrade
On this occassion nothing other a minor issue with the car park
Bed was Comfortable. Good Price, good staff. Food was good.
Lift has been broken for a while. Wifi, its free but is so slow or doesn't work most of the time. Parking, some guests don't know how to park and the hotel should ensure they don't block actual roads. Reversing in a narrow car park, badly lit, if I hit another car I would of claimed against them not my insurance.

Extra charge for spa No shower
Good location, impressive building and grounds as you drive in. Thought we were going to really enjoy our stay. But!
Room very small and tired looking. In need of freshening up. Staff really didn't want to be bothered. Although friendly could not provide a service! Bar which offered all day food and snacks had no chef on duty therefore no food only bread rolls! Restaurant closed for lunch, therefore no food available for us. Had to go outside the premises. Extra tariff charge to use the facilities ie gym and pool, which was not specified on website. Overall disappointing experience would not return or recommend
The overall condition is very poor! Lack of cleanliness! The beds are in need if immeadiate replacement!
Cheap, and it needed to be.
Poor service, very run down
i enjoyed the spa/pool facilities, the food was lovely. the location is lovely and peaceful nice relaxing weekend.
even though the tv is freeview. you couldn't get any music channels on for a a bit of chilling background noise.
The size and appearance of the room
OK staff and not a "stuffy" hotel - large with all the facilities. Reasonable value for money and I would stay there again.
This hotel was at one time an upmarket hotel for sure. However it is suffering now and needs some updating and TLC.
Food, Breakfast was 1 out of 10 Scrambled egg and beans ok the Bacon and Sausage were dogfood!
Although ageing, the facilities were good and the price is excellent
The queue on check in on Monday evening
Long queue to check in No salad or healthy options on bar menu 1970's bathroom suite Run down appearance around the place
Value for money. Room was comfortable and plenty of space.
Reception staff did not acknowledge people waiting to check in whilst they were trying to solve other customers problems. However they were pleasant when I finally checked in although they could have given better directions to my room and a little more information about location of the restaurant and the bar.
Cleaning needs to be more thorough
40 minute queue to check in Rudeness of staff Brown water from taps Bed held up on bits of wood
I run a Carpentry company and my men have to work away from home on occasions, which they do not like very much. However, we have had 3 to 4 men staying mon-fri for many weeks now at the Royal Court Hotel and the feedback we get from all of our men is that it is the best of accomodation so far that we have ever put them in and is the only place they agreed to stay at week after week without complaint, they actually like staying away from home there...result! The very reasonably priced restaurant is a bonus to them together with the areas to socialise with each other instead of being stuck in their own bedrooms is key to their happiness. I can say for sure the Hotel and the grounds are lovely, having stayed there myself with my family on several occasions (visit to Cadbury world and breaks away). So reasonably priced and highly recommended. Jealous that its our workers staying there and not me!
There is nothing not to like but maybe free use of swimming pool for longer term guests.
Good Leisure Facilities.
Room was tired and in need of modernisation.
