The room we stayed in was comfortable and clean although our friends had to ask for a clean towel to replace one in their bathroom. Rooms were very quiet even though close to a main road. The hotel was very easy to find from directions on the website. The receptionist could have been a little more welcoming and breakfast was like a bun fight. Although I assumed that we had continental breakfast included in the price as I was offered two prices for the room, one of which stated that breakfast was not included and I chose the other price, they did not appear to be expecting us at breakfast. I understand they were busy dealing with coach parties but when I asked both at reception and on entry to the dining room staff first patronisingly told me that I should have listened to our coach driver for instructions about breakfast, then, when I explained we were not on a coach, made me feel as if our party were an inconvenience. We would have paid the extra for full English breakfast if we had been given the choice but as it was we had a bowl of cereal and a drink each then left, feeling very disappointed with the service,or lack of it, given. |

I liked how I was given a room at half one in the morning, No hassle or nothing. Everything was perfect, check out was a little early after a night out though. I wasn't aware check in for the current day was 2'oclock, otherwise I would have been able to get ready for my night there also as the location was only over the road. |

Based on the reviews here I asked for a room on the quiet side - away from the road; no problem sleeping with the windows open. Room was clean and comfortable with everything you need and all in working order. Staff very pleasant and helpful. At £29 for a double room it's fantastic value. Excellent - would recommend. Don't let the slightly down at heal appearance put you off... |

The price was excellent. The staff on reception in the morning when checking out weren't very helpful. The TV had no remote control and the bed was too hard. Funny smell in the room as well. |

It was clean and comfortable I had a 5.00am start, was on the 5th floor and the lifts seemed to have been turned off. There was no one in Reception that I could mention this to at the time. |

Easy to park and check. Lift efficient and room comfortable. Dinner was not enjoyable, it just went downhill after the soup. |

Proper Double bed, not two beds pushed together, still able to give smoking rooms, bar open late and still serving food although very basic at midnight. The Outside of the hotel looked very messy and dated, lets the hotel down from the outside. |

we were a little concerned after reading other reviews but dont be put off!! The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. For a cheap nights stay to watch Take That @ the Ricoh it was perfect. The decor is alittle dated but that is purely cosmetic, we would certainly stay again with no hesitation The whole hotel could do with a lick of paint inside and out but otherwise no complaints! |
