The location was key to my trip and it was situated on near the m40 so accessibility was good. My double room rate of £51 was keenly priced. The hotel is in real need of modernisation-the wallpaper was loose-the decor is tired and drab my room window was so dirty it was hard to see through the furniture old, no satellite TV-no wi-fi in the rooms-the controller was broken and taped back together with gaffer tape!-it had te hallmarks of an old council bedsit-cigarette butts outside the main doors-paint peeling off the entrance ceilings the outside of the building needs cleaning-it is a real pity as it could be a real focal point given it's location an the size of the building-sadly it looks a dirty grey eyesore.

Well here you go! I didnt stay there because you overbooked! You sent me to bfairfax street where the wall paper falls off the walls and the cleaning regime still stinks like it did at christmas! An overpriced lousy room Re fairfax street / dirty toilets that you see sitting in the bath ,under the toilet rims is covered in mould and grim and around base of toilets and sink filthy this happened at christmas in 2 rooms 510 and others I was put in 308 here and it looks like I ought to report to your head office as yourcleaning staff at fairfax are the laziest in bitain and they do know me because I complained before! I will be taking this further so please contact me regarding filthy hotels .ray

It was a quite and serene environment which was my expectation. The special qualities of a Hotel like good staff and environment was met also. The security on the doors were also interesting as well. I didnt like the fact that there were no fridges to store my drinks. The hotel looks outstanding but i think it will be more catchy if it is painted.

Room 205 was dark and a bit dingy insects in the bath, bath wasn't at all inviting either. Weird picture on the wall. I've never seen a picture of a woman in a hotel room usually calming pictures eg flowers etc. bed was clean but room was cold. Coffee/ tea facilities were ok. End of January I stayed at Royal Court Hotel for £25 booked online in a similar deal and experienced a far more higher standard that I even booked an extra day. Whilst Coventry Hill was more expensive. Couldn't wait to leave.

Location. Ease of access from motorways I book this hotel for a 3 day stay every 6 weeks on behalf of an aged relative. I always prepay the room with my credit card at time of booking, so the guest has nothing to pay. The most recent visit, the receptionist refused to acknowledge that the room was prepaid and insisted the guest pay. All this in a very hostile fashion, causing great distress.

Very easy to find off a45. Excellent location for travelling to and from the nec for Crufts. The food is very reasonably priced and good quality. Allowing dogs in rooms is really important to me and your hotel always accepts without question. The rooms very tidy and towels and linen all of good quality and very clean. Although the hotel is a litle older it is in reasonable condition but small things like a good window clean would gp a long way.

Good distance from the NEC, easy to find and nice welcome. The shower didn't work so we were forced to have a semi shower while the bath filled up from the tap...added to by the water not draining away. Very unpleasent experience. Also my husband resceived a cut from a splinter of metal when picking up a towel. There wasn't much in the way of service at dinner and even less at breakfast. Infact if we hadn't paid for breakfast I don't think they'd have been any wiser!!!!!
