The location just off Picadilly Gardens is great - in the heart of the city and also 5 min walk from the tram, bus and train stations. Also we found the staff to be very nice, friendly and professional. The hotel is old and the rooms are basic. We had to wait until 4.30 to check in as the rooms were not ready. Overall though no major complaints. |

Location and first impresions of the hotel lobby and reception. Easy access to public transport. We booked an executive double room for the weekend stay in the city but found that the room that we was allocated was below what would be classed as executive. The laminate flooring in the bathroom was comming apart at the joints, the bedroom door was pourly painted with screws still visable holding the false mouldings to the door. The shower didn't work correctly, lack of water presure and there where visable stains on the bedroom carpet. At 6am there was a 5 second fire alarm call which was not expected. During our stay one of the lifts was not working and on more than one occation we had to take the stairs to the lobby from the 6th floor which was confusing due to having to change stairs on the 4th floor. |

Friendly staff, both booking in and other reception enquires. Cleaning staff very polite and took the the time to say good morning without patronising. This costs nothing and is a nice, friendly way to start the day. One minor issue, staff in the gym area not always available, I presume due to other duties. A number of guest, myself included, had to wait to gain entry into the gym on seperate occasions. |

Value for money, good quality breakfast. Staff were very helpful No heat in the bedroom, had to be supplied with fan heater. No private parking facilities. |

the heating did not work in my room and all i got as an alterntive was a blow heater that broke on the 1st night. the fire alarm also kept going off at irregular times |

Very close to all the main shops and German markets, good value help yourself breakfast. We ate a night as well in the hotel which was also nice food at reasonable prices.Room had all we needed, plenty of hot water. we were on 5th floor at rear of hotel so no problem with noise but its a large hotel with several function rooms so may not always be the case if on lower floor as it was a busy hotel. Mattress on bed could do with replacing but for one night it was ok. |

The hotel was in a great hotel - very good for stations and shopping. The room was very cold upon arrival and was also quite dark - more lighting in the room would have been better. The breakfast was okay but we had to wait for a while before we got served coffee/tea (which were cold) and had to wait to get plates for self-service buffet. |

I really have to think hard about this question. Based on my experience there I have to say that the only positve aspect of the my experience was my interaction with staff. I stayed there with my sister.It was a cold night in Manchester, The room was very very very cold, we both had to wear extra clothes just to be warm .the extra tiny heaters in the room did not do anything to make it more comfortable.The frame on the bathroom door was broken and at the bath the area around the taps had some sort of mould or scummy thing on it.we didn't feel comfortable using the shower. |

The locationw as good. I would have liked ot use the pool if I had had time on my stay. The room had poor heationg, and the bathroom was crumbling. As i was there on business I didn't have time to complain. |

The location was good for the men Arena and shopping the next day. We were allegedly in an executive room- I wouldn't like to have seen a basic room! The room was dirty (there was a lump of cake on the floor from a previous occupier), it smelt of stale smoke and the toilet seat had come off completely. |
