Nothing, location was good parking was diabolical Do not stay at this hotel!!!! I booked a double executive room as advertised on the website, it was nothing like the picture advertised. There were young people in the room next door going in and out of each others room every 5 minutes banging doors and loud noises. I complained and asked to be moved to another floor. The person at the front desk insisted I paid an extra £10 before he would move us, when I went upstairs to move our bags there were young people running around in their underwear. The next room was on the 5th floor, this room looked exactly like the one on the website, however the telly didn't work. There were two air conditioning systems going on, one of them you could not turn off so the room was cold!!! This was a triple executive. The carpet was dirty, there was holes in the wall, and to top it all I found a bug in the bed. I took it down to the duty manager who refunded my £10 and offered a free breakfast, we did not take up the offer just wanted to get out of there fast!!!!!!!!!!!! I am in the process of writing to the ceo regarding the service at this hotel. I have been using Booking.com for years and never, never, never been disappointed with the hotels they have advertised on the website, this is the first time!!!

Horrendous..dirty ,carpets need a good clean, sockets hanging off wall, wallpaper stuck on with cellotape, furniture a disgrace in all worse than faulty towers what a nightmare............ On the fith floor the lifts were not working we used the service lift.wow, what afilthy dirty place,it needs a fortune spending on it to make it habitable,or better still knock it down..........Health and safety would have a field day. The hair dryer was one Adam left behind and didnt work,no pat testing on the television, and the electric testing was years out of date.... You need more? I have photographs to prove..........

The staff was friendly, it is in the city center. The kitchen was good. The building is an old one. I was there for sleeping, however in the morning I realized there are no windows.

We liked absolutely nothing. The hotel lookled gloomy and dirty. Our room was a disaster it smelt musty and also smelt of stale cigarettes. There was damp on the wall and wallpaper coming off by the window. Dark smudge marks on wall and ceiling goodness knows what that could have been. It was absolutely the worst place we have ever stayed........disgusting.

Location is the heart of the city. It includes a spindle health centre including a Gym and a descent Pool, must go if you are there. You just need to pay 10 GBP for a week which is a descent deal too. I loved my stay just due to the Gym. :) The room I was asked to stay in, didn't have windows. When I contacted the reception, they informed that this was stated on Booking.com as well. And when I showed them the listing and the confirmatory email, they said contact booking.com. They were not at all receptive and understanding towards my situation and I ended up spending a Saturday without any connectivity (not even Mobile signals of 3 & Lyca). On Sunday, after several rounds of arguments, they changed my room to the smoking floor where fortunately, I had a bar or two in my handset (this was without windows too) and I survived the week stay. Beware 3 mobile users, this hotel is very jammy for your handset. All in all, the trip was okay after that.

The location Being given a smoking room when I don't smoke (they didn't ask) and finding that 'free internet access throughout the hotel' did not mean there was internet access on the 6th floor.

Absolutely nothing!!! It was the worst place I have stayed in during my 1 month trip to the uk. The room was dirty, dusty and old. I booked a family room for myself ans two sons, the staff brought in a fold out bed which was barely more than springs and a very thin matress, the floor was more comfortable and that is where I slept while my children slept in the "real bed". The toilet seat was cracked and broken, the bath had a jacuzzi that didn't work but had mould in the spa jets. the website advertised an indoor pool but said nothing about having ot pay for it or the limited hours avaiable for children. The resturaunt was unhygienic with communal tubs of penaut butter and honey for breakfast. the website says internet wifi acces throughout the hotel.... only in the reception and even then only a poor signal. Overall it was over priced and poor quality. I would not reccomend anyone to stay there. The staff were not friendly and unwilling to help........ very bad experience!!!

We booked through Booking.com as I have a lot and usually the hotels through Booking.com are brilliant, never had any problems. But this hotel even though we only paid a low rate, was awful. The staff were rude when checking in,its dated, the decor is stuck in the 80's I dont think there has been any work whatsoever done on the rooms or hotel in general since it opened. The beds were really uncomfortable and the bath was that awful we didnt even use it and just set off early am the next day as we felt really unclean, which whwn you have traveeled 3 hours down is really bad. The parking facilities are very confusing and we ended up having to park a ten min walk away and trail our cases back. But the worst thing is there was no windows in the room,we knew this before booking but thought the air con would work fine, which was just pathetic. Even though it was value for money because it was a brill location,I cnt help but think for another couple of pound I would rather stay in a Premier Inn or Travelodge. So no we will not be staying in The Brittannia again

The location was excellent for shopping, and close enough to bars and restaurants, the rooms was basic but spacious, the staff were friendly and helpfull, the bath was very large. The room I booked wasnt available when I checked in, so they allocated me another one, I found it dated, the furniture was old fashion, the windows were filthy, and there was beer cans on the window ledge floating in a pool of water, the jacuzzi jets in the bath didnt work, and the wardrobe door woudnt close fully .

location as said throughout the reviews is excellant, staff were ok but i was told if i wanted to check in early it would cost me an extra ten pounds even though my room was ready bed was hard, was a double room but was actualy two single beds pushed together, wallpaper coming off the walls, street cleaner outside until 3 am in the morning, shower was either freezing or simple to warm to use. i only paid £29 for the room so didnt complain, but people checking in infront of me paid 3 or 4 times this price...definatly not worth this price

After a very long journey, I was extremely tired and just wanted to climb into my bed. I'd booked a single room and when I got to the hotel they'd upgraded me to a double which was a nice surprise, so my sleep was even better that night! All the staff were friendly & helpful and I couldn't fault my stay here! Great price, great location & great facilities!

Honestly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We had 2 rooms booked. Both rooms smelt of mould and cigarette smoke. One room did not even have a window (wasn't warned about this) 2 channels on tv Hot water only in shower of one room No space in luggage storage after check out Taps in both rooms continually leaking. Told staff, they told me to put a towel under tap so I couldn't hear the dripping??!! I would prefer to stay in a backpackers than this revolting hotel. or spend a little extra on a nice hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
