Nothing, location was good parking was diabolical Do not stay at this hotel!!!! I booked a double executive room as advertised on the website, it was nothing like the picture advertised. There were young people in the room next door going in and out of each others room every 5 minutes banging doors and loud noises. I complained and asked to be moved to another floor. The person at the front desk insisted I paid an extra £10 before he would move us, when I went upstairs to move our bags there were young people running around in their underwear. The next room was on the 5th floor, this room looked exactly like the one on the website, however the telly didn't work. There were two air conditioning systems going on, one of them you could not turn off so the room was cold!!! This was a triple executive. The carpet was dirty, there was holes in the wall, and to top it all I found a bug in the bed. I took it down to the duty manager who refunded my £10 and offered a free breakfast, we did not take up the offer just wanted to get out of there fast!!!!!!!!!!!! I am in the process of writing to the ceo regarding the service at this hotel. I have been using Booking.com for years and never, never, never been disappointed with the hotels they have advertised on the website, this is the first time!!!

Horrendous..dirty ,carpets need a good clean, sockets hanging off wall, wallpaper stuck on with cellotape, furniture a disgrace in all worse than faulty towers what a nightmare............ On the fith floor the lifts were not working we used the service lift.wow, what afilthy dirty place,it needs a fortune spending on it to make it habitable,or better still knock it down..........Health and safety would have a field day. The hair dryer was one Adam left behind and didnt work,no pat testing on the television, and the electric testing was years out of date.... You need more? I have photographs to prove..........

I booked an executive room, but got what seemed like an extremely budget room. There was no TV or seating area like it said it had, the wardrobe was in pieces and there was a big hole in the ceiling above the bed with cold air blowing out of it and I was unable to turn it off.

The location was handy bed was comfortable but that's literally about it! The hotel on my first impression was not great due it being an old building. However the rooms do need to be improved and facilities need to be improved. For example the bathroom was disgusting and old and facilities were broken and the televison didn't work very well and was an old and broken. The heating is on a timer so do expect the room to be cold in the morning. I made complaints and was palmed off with an electric heater. All in all I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone untill it has been improved!

Cheap, good bed, quiet. Waited 20 minutes at the desk on arrival because the booking 'wasn't on the system'. Internet wasn't working in the room, reception advised I'd be compensated on checking out but then in the morning was told that no compensation could be given. Very basic and somewhat 'Faulty Towers' but then it was cheap!

It was in the centre of Manchester which was very convenient. I was travelling with my son and we both enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and polite. Overall we were very satisfied with our stay in Manchester and would use your hotel again on future visits.

The staff was friendly, it is in the city center. The kitchen was good. The building is an old one. I was there for sleeping, however in the morning I realized there are no windows.

friendly reception staff rooms were absolutely awful. so old and tired with torn wall paper and cracked mirrors in bathroom. bath was disgusting. tv old fashioned. door frame had big chunk of wood out of it. would not recommend this to anyone. the whole hotel needs a lot of money spending on it to bring it up to anything half decent.

The hotel location was ideal for our business trip. One member of the Reception team was excellent in terms of her customer focussed service. On booking we asked for a ground floor room and strictly none smoking. We were put on the 6th floor in a smoking room. We raised this at on arrival and were met with totally uncaring approach. Apart from one Receptionist who was excellent ( A young dark haired girl who unfortunately I neglected to take her name) the service from reception was very poor. We saw "Management" (I use the term loosely) in the office from Reception with their feet on the desks, laughing and joking. My wife cannot use lifts as she is claustrophobic, hence the request for a ground floor room. When we asked for directions to the stairs we were treated rather poorly from the first Receptionist who couldn’t really care about our predicament. A second Receptionist (as previously indicated) did finally help us and turned out to be our most positive experience of our whole stay. The stairs were extremely dirty and when I went up in the lift to take our luggage, it was dirty and on exiting the lift the floor just outside was filthy. Our room had no plug in the bath the wall behind the curtains was damp and had mould on it

The only plus was the location as it is right on picadilly gardens, so walking distance from Victoria or picadilly station, and right at the bus station. The Hotel was very scruffy and was in need of a good clean. The rooms and the bedding etc were clean but the hallway carpets looked like they hadn't been vaccummed for months, and the walls were covered in black mould. The staff were nice enough, but we had to pay to use the pool, £4 each which you pay in a community pool. The other facilities appeared to be non existant. We struggled to find somewhere to get a drink from in the morning. It was cheap, but i certainly wouldn't have paid the full price to stay there.

faded grandeur, big rooms, very central in Manchester, a short walk to everywhere in the city. Clean comfortable bed. Bathroom clean. Very powerful shower, lots of hot water. Cheap price. Fine for the money. Some dodgy looking fellow clientele. Funny, stale smell in some corridors. At breakfast, coffee very weak, croissants very old

Although generally very shabby in appearance it was excellent value for money. The lifts were a bit creaky and provided much amusement for everyone as you wondered if you would ever reach your destination - but you always did! We didn't have the breakfast but you could add it on at arrival for only £5.00 which seemed good value to me. The room was very big and the bed was comfy although small as we are used to a king size. The bathroom shower was lovely and hot. We slept soundly no noise at all. All in all very tired looking - needs a lot of TLC but great for the money. Had a lovely night. Just shabby - needs injection of money urgently!

The hotel was very well situated in the Piccadilly area of Manchester- just 10 minutes walk away from the station. The reception staff were very pleasant and the room was very clean. I will use again if I return to Manchester. The tv was old and sound quality was poor.
