the hotel was very clean
the shower did not work. the kettle did not work and the main light did not work this was a room with no window & had only reading lamps the beds had only 1 pillow each no spares in the wordrobe. The breakfast was cold. The coffee was very weak
Tha staff were helpful.
The Hotel was very tired and desperately needed a make over.
The whole experience
The prices of the rooms it's ok
Most of the rooms don't have window
The hotel was nice, staff friendly, was close to the centre.
The room was nice, although it was cold and didn't get very warm; the room seemed dark as the lights were only lamps.
The central heating in the room was not working, however a heater was provided after I complained.
Meals reasonably priced. Staff pleasant and friendly. A clean environment
Was woken up by a knock on the door at 5:20 a.m. by a member of staff delivering food to the wrong room. Room - far too hot. Unable to control temperature. There was an extremely large fan supplied which was too noisy to use. Couldn't lock the room properly at night. Lock damaged. Furniture threadbare in places and some fittings had seen better days. Lift would only carry a limited number of people particularly if they had luggage. Was kept waiting several times.
The room without a window. Didn't know such rooms exists in hotels
Room not heated (in January!) - given a noisy portable fan heater so I had to choose between being warm & sleeping; I wasn't told that the pool was closed for maintenance until I got down there - this was the only reason I chose this hotel after a bad experience previously; taps not working in bathroom; poor TV reception - only one watchable channel.
Whilst very dated, much like the rest of the train, this one is not to bad and clean.
Don't even bother with the free WIFI
The room was c of the window did not shut properly had damp the wifi didn't work bed was stiff wouldn't even let my dog stay there and don't even respond to customers never again
The hotel was perfectly situated for the reasons my partner and I were staying. Close to everything we needed and the price wasn't too bad but did not feel I got what I paid for.
The staff didn't seem to understand basic English which surprised me in a hotel ... In England. I work in hotels myself and I am pretty sure that if you live and work in a certain country, you should be able to understand the countries own language better ??The room was ok but really looked like a blast back to the 60's and the room wasn't exaclty the cleanest. I booked an executive room and personally do not feel that the room we got was worth it. It was hidden away in the corner and very dark even with the lights on and the heat was unreal. I like heat but even I struggled to sleep.
When I first walked in to reception it smelled strongly of industrial cleaning fluid, there was a wait to be checked in and the room was very basic with an ancient TV and rattling heating. I was shocked to be asked to pay £4 for use of the gym.
The proximity of the hotel to city centre, transport and shops.
Below average housekeeping and customer service.
The location was perfect for a night out in the Northern Quarter. Good value for money, everything we needed for one night out.
Our room had no window and it was super hot! We made sure the heating was off but it didn't make a difference. Not really a problem as was only staying the one night.
Too many rooms without windows, air conditioning not great
Location is perfect, the hotel was lovely and warm and the rooms were a good size. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Staff was very nice, welcoming and helpful. really close to canal street
Of im been picky bathroom could have done with a new coat of paint or touching up a bit.
Central location made seeing key aspects of the city easy.
Room was cold (it was January) and the heating system seemed ineffective. No ventilation working in the bathroom, shaver point not working, dripping tap in the bathroom. Changing rooms out of order in the leisure club - which is really small anyway. Dining room looked very basic - did not use. Whole hotel smelled of stale smoke.
Handy for city centre
Bathroom dated shower was pathetic
The hotel was in a handy location for the area we needed to be in. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean.
Our toilet leaked when flushed, this seems to have been happening for some time. The breakfast was cold which was a shame as the hotel experience was good till then.
Location is good for MEN and shops
Poor quality. Shabby decor. State of the rooms. Wallpaper hanging off. Holes in ceiling and walls. Outdated furniture and electrical items. Cleanliness was poor.
Bed No room for a side table to fit between bed and wall Not particularly clean Limited bar facility, unable to put bar bill on room. Unable to accept credit card over bar. Bar tender doubling as painter and decorator at 11pm. generally tired hotel and needs urgent facelift. Pen marks and drawing over bedroom wall.
