Noisey air con
No wifi in rooms
Loved the waiter Victor, he's amazing, im a manager of a restaraunt and love it if all my team were this good!! Xx
Firstly room wasn't cleaned, then second room was covered in wee insects all over the kettle area :-(
the hotel was very clean
the shower did not work. the kettle did not work and the main light did not work this was a room with no window & had only reading lamps the beds had only 1 pillow each no spares in the wordrobe. The breakfast was cold. The coffee was very weak
We stayed for a weekend, perfect location to get round Manchester. Clean and hospitable
Tha staff were helpful.
The Hotel was very tired and desperately needed a make over.
The whole experience
The prices of the rooms it's ok
Most of the rooms don't have window
The hotel was nice, staff friendly, was close to the centre.
The room was nice, although it was cold and didn't get very warm; the room seemed dark as the lights were only lamps.
The central heating in the room was not working, however a heater was provided after I complained.
The only decent thing was the location
This hotel is awful. The first room we were given had two huge leaks in the ceiling with two big puddles on the floor , we tried calling reception but couldn't get through ,we then went down to complain..We didn't even get a sorry ..then the second room was freezing ..They offered us a heater ...which didn't arrive for hours as apparently other guests were using them.I eventually asked to speak with a manager as the lady on reception said this was not her problem..The manager never called ...We had to buy extra blankets from the local primark to keep us warm ...We looked at booking another hotel but didn't have the money ..was very glad to leave this hotel
Meals reasonably priced. Staff pleasant and friendly. A clean environment
Was woken up by a knock on the door at 5:20 a.m. by a member of staff delivering food to the wrong room. Room - far too hot. Unable to control temperature. There was an extremely large fan supplied which was too noisy to use. Couldn't lock the room properly at night. Lock damaged. Furniture threadbare in places and some fittings had seen better days. Lift would only carry a limited number of people particularly if they had luggage. Was kept waiting several times.
Located right in the centre of Manchester next door to Affleck Palace and very close to the Arndale for shopping.
New Years Eve saw us paying £129 for one of your "Executive" Double Rooms at the Britannia Sachas hotel in the centre of Manchester. I've stayed in this hotel before but only in a standard double room so I was disappointed to notice no difference what so ever to the amenities within the room. Willing to overlook the fact that the décor was extremely dated and shabby, with the likes of peeling wallpaper and burnt/stained ironing board, we couldn't ignore the standard of cleanliness within the room. The thermostat didn't seem to function correctly which left the room in a constant cold state. And to wander into the bathroom in the morning to the site of cockroaches certainly wasn't what I was expecting having paid so much for the room and to be staying with a reputable company like Britannia. When informing the reception staff about the situation on checking-out they seemed nonchalant, which leads me to believe this could be a regular occurrence.
The room without a window. Didn't know such rooms exists in hotels
Room not heated (in January!) - given a noisy portable fan heater so I had to choose between being warm & sleeping; I wasn't told that the pool was closed for maintenance until I got down there - this was the only reason I chose this hotel after a bad experience previously; taps not working in bathroom; poor TV reception - only one watchable channel.
Whilst very dated, much like the rest of the train, this one is not to bad and clean.
Don't even bother with the free WIFI
The room was c of the window did not shut properly had damp the wifi didn't work bed was stiff wouldn't even let my dog stay there and don't even respond to customers never again
The hotel was perfectly situated for the reasons my partner and I were staying. Close to everything we needed and the price wasn't too bad but did not feel I got what I paid for.
The staff didn't seem to understand basic English which surprised me in a hotel ... In England. I work in hotels myself and I am pretty sure that if you live and work in a certain country, you should be able to understand the countries own language better ??The room was ok but really looked like a blast back to the 60's and the room wasn't exaclty the cleanest. I booked an executive room and personally do not feel that the room we got was worth it. It was hidden away in the corner and very dark even with the lights on and the heat was unreal. I like heat but even I struggled to sleep.
When I first walked in to reception it smelled strongly of industrial cleaning fluid, there was a wait to be checked in and the room was very basic with an ancient TV and rattling heating. I was shocked to be asked to pay £4 for use of the gym.
The proximity of the hotel to city centre, transport and shops.
Below average housekeeping and customer service.
The location was perfect for a night out in the Northern Quarter. Good value for money, everything we needed for one night out.
Our room had no window and it was super hot! We made sure the heating was off but it didn't make a difference. Not really a problem as was only staying the one night.
Too many rooms without windows, air conditioning not great
Location is perfect, the hotel was lovely and warm and the rooms were a good size. The staff were friendly and helpful.
