booked this hotel for one night as was traveling up m6 to Scotland and wanted to break the journey up. booked room on booking.com and reserved at £19.99 for the night. got to hotel and was only charged £19. be aware if you pay on card they charge you \£2. so your best paying in cash. don't know what all the bad reviews are on about, this hotel was well worth the £19 i paid. its not 5* but the rooms are ok with everything you need and its clean. shower was a bit small for me as im tall, but for less than £20 i was very happy with the quality. similar to a £40 travelodge. would definetly use again and recommend. breakfast £10

Fresh linen every day, spa facilities good Dirty, noisy, in poor state of repair, wallpaper falling off walls, plaster falling onto floor, room smelled dirty and stale. Breakfast very poor selection for price of continental food, staff never answered reception phone. Waited 2 daysfor an iron and when got it, it was broken. Staff disinterested.

I had to leave at 4.45 in the morning so the night manager made me up a continental breakfast at 4.30. Most impressive - A1 for service. Tucked away out of town but I realise that is where the budget price comes from.

Room a tip, old fashioned, wardrobe doors propped up against wall, cigarette end on window ledge, none of the canvases on the walls were straight!

I had a last minute hotel to book which I found online. My single room was £20, it was very nicely furnished, there was plenty of hot water and the room was lovely and warm. There was only one teab and one sachet of sugar in the drinks tray, however a quick trip to reception and all was well, they told me to help myself no problem

Price and location. Tv had good range of channels. Coffee stain on window sill from previous occupants which I wiped up. Entry to car park from main road could also be a little clearer - the entrance rather took you by surprise when driving along the main road and it wasn't clear whether one side of the hotel was for entry only and the other for exit only, or whether both could be used for either.

The price. The staff, on the whole, were pleasant and helpful. The hotel was in need of updating. Cleanliness was also an issue - old crisp packets etc behind the bedside cabinets. The public areas had a run down feel.

Easy to find The staff were miserable and unprofessional the room was very tired it needed decorating there were marks on surface areas no soap or shower stuff. My wife slept in the chair. One of the worst rooms we have stayed in. I was tired and in pain from my disability and didn't,t have the energy to make a fuss and complain. Arriving at the check in desk the clerk was dealing with a lady who then moved away he carried on working at the computer terminal, spoke to colleagues for approximately five minutes while I am stood at the roped area with my walking stick. He did not acknowledge me or ask me to step up to the desk or if I needed a seat or I am sorry for your wait I will be with you as soon I have just got to finish what I,m doing. Staff did not look at you or speak to you two actually looked at the floor. This is far removed from the service my wife and I received from our hotel stay in Cardiff last week. We were very disappointed.

More than adequate facilities for a short business or location speccific stay. Adjacent exercise and recreational facilities could be very attractive although not to us an old retired couple. The room was clean and perfectly equipped and we were very impressed withe the variety of food on offer at breakfast the following morning. The reason for our trip was aactually a sad one as we needed to attend a funeral at the nearby crematorium. If we need to stay in the Stockport area we would definitely consider this hotel to be at the top of ourn list.

I can not complain at this cost - I booked after business hours and got the room at a very low price. Check-in was smooth and what do you expect when you only have to spend a short night and leave early morning? I think reasonable clean, functional bathroom and quite hallways. Requires some wear & tear here and there to maintain it to minimum standard. Otherwise, its good for a night or so.

Very little. The price was very cheap, so you get what you pay for. Very rude staff, poor quality of upkeep / furnishings, low standard of cleanliness.

The price was the only thing good to say about this hotel. Noisy beyond belief! Both within the room caused by the noisy neighbours staying in the room directly below us, to the noise of people shouting and revving their car engines in the hotel car park until 4am in the morning! Even walking down the corridors to get to your room, the piped music was almost deafening - God help anyone if they get a room situated near a speaker! We did eventually get moved to another room at 4am, which was nice of the hotel staff to do so at this time in the morning, but alas it didn't make any difference, as we found that in the new room our next door neighbours plumbing was making gurgling sounds, as well as an irritating squealing sound coming from the outside rooftop generator. By 5am we'd had enough and we literally threw in the towel and both decided to exit the hotel and drive back home. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone, especially over the weekend, unless you're a young person who intends to stay up all night long!. As far as this hotel goes....Not Recommended.
