Friendly, efficient staff. Clean bed linen A one night stay so not over bothered by failings opposite ! I didn't like the shower with no shower head ! The bath looked clean until I added water when a great deal of of silt and muck was released. The TV' s remote control didn't work and the receptionist seemed to know that they wouldn't work.

Location to city centre as its only 15 min drive to city centre, parking is free which is a bonus and quiet .i cannot comment on food/spa facilities as i havnt used it but it looked clean and neat . Paper thin walls as i could hear everything from next door till 2 am on a saturday night .But i was pretty much tired so it did not really bother me .

It was clean and comfortable and reasonably priced. Large free car park is a plus. Went there as I was going to dance held there so it was good not to have to drive home afterwards - could relax and have a few drinks. Will make use of spa and pool facilities if I go again. Squeaky floor in room and fire alarm going off at 9 in the morning, not that this was a problem of course as you need to be aware, it was just a shock. You feel disorientated in strange surroundings. Went off as I got to stairs so presume it was false alarm or test.

Staff willingness to help, in my experience this included reception staff and Manager also domestic staff. Spa facilities which I must investigate when I next visit. Convenience to places I needed to visit bar prices reasonable Very small poorly placed T.V. in room Inability to take kettle to sink to fill. Creaky floorboards above my room at 5.30 in the morning (someone moving about)

Comfortable beds, cleaning staff polite, Cleaning staff should empty the bins everyday! Especially when families are booked in! Drunken noise from above and below, kept waking up my 2 year old neice, when the hotel is not full, group families away from wedding guests. We were told on 'check in' the spa and pool were included but then were charged £6 for use of the pool, also told breakfast was not included and at £10 each, that was too expensive, finally on 3rd morning had to have breakfast in the hotel as were travelling, then on check out I said 2 breakfasts and child for today and was told that it was included!!! I was fuming! The dark haired man on reception was more interested in charging his iphone than dealing with me. At breakfast we were the only ones in the room when my sister mentioned how much wasted food there would be (we have both worked in the hotel trade) and then the 2 manager's came to look and 1 of them took the eggs into the kitchen and had a heated debate with the chef!!! Very poor etiquite either wait til we had left or make sure you door are sound proof which they are not!

nice sized rooms We found a gentlemans tie and a ladies bra in a cupboard under the television, there was no sugar for our coffee and only to tiny pots of milk the bath in the bathroom was fine if you were under 5ft tall be better just having a decent shower

Bar staff friendly and Welcoming but ambience was tired but for £25/night could say was value for money Hotel was tired - seating in bar area was well past its best edging on the shabby. Police having to be called to remove a guest who had assulted another guest due to being drunk.

It was near to where I had my Business conference The pillows for the bed are poor. There is cob webs around the curtain rail and also hanging down from the ceiling. Carpet in room is badly stained. Room I had was noisy due to lots of people speaking loudly outside it when they are smoking. No toiletries in the bathroom on day 2 of my stay. Carpet in the room needs to be hovered better even up to the skirting boards.
