Score from 409 reviews Very good
I liked the room and the 3 course meal was well within budget. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice and warm. Bathroom was clean. Nice spacious bar area too. Very friendly guy on reception, really helpful with local knowledge.
There was a bit of noise from inconsiderate fellow guests. I always travel with earplugs so not affected too much. Maybe the hotel should ask their cleaners to look up when hoovering as there were a few cobwebs. (I make that mistake at home so not too fussed really)
Not a lot if anything at all
Unmade room, running shower ,dirty towels ,holding door opened.staff obviously under stress( I am being polite). Fire doors open to the rear of building. Strange smells on upper floors. No wonder it was available that night.it must have a rep we didn't know aboutq
nothing didn't want to eat in this hotel
more shabby than chic room felt grubby poor sleep lots of noise you can hear other guests in their rooms I had water come through the bathroom ceiling from the room above me
Nothing at all.
Everything. A hostel at best. Asylum Seekers YOU WILL LOVE IT!
Chatty and pleasant Receptionist, perfect location for visiting family in Stockport, best price in town. Breakfast was also offered at a good price but we declined as visiting family for lunch. Nice large, free car park.
It was a very chilly night and the heating wasn't on, there was no way of turning the radiator on from the room. There were extra blankets but they smelled of curry. We used them but felt they could have done with a wash. The bathroom floor needed a good scrub and the sealant around the bath was black and mouldy so gave that a miss.
Didn't like anything
It was cold l, same food Friday and Saturday night I asked for extra dovet as it was so cold and on both time on different nights they said there was not any spare as they don't keep spare we paid a lot of money for 3 nights and we should off book in premier inn bath was broken , toilets was broken, the shower you couldn't get at right time and there was a lot off in present people there
Good sized car park
General noise levels from ventilation fan outside and banging doors below. The fan did switch-off during the night albeit quite a while after I had gone to bed (with earplugs in) however it started-up again at 5.44 am
Cleanliness of bed and bathroom. Quick taxi service. Quick check in. Spacious lounge and bar area. .
Lack of availabilty of an iron. People in the room above us walking around all night and banging cupboards. Poor view from window. . Lack of fridge in room.
Poor bar - Old Pinot was the only option all week. The fact that you can't charge food/drinks to your room without a deposit suggested the clientele they attract. Gym/pool so popular with locals it put me off using it.
Nothing special but good value for your money.
Was fairly noisy. We stayed downstairs. Could hear the person above walking about , coughing. Water dripping all night .
Parking, shower. Situation
Paid for an executive room and got a double really dated
when i arrived there was dirty sheets on the hallway floor. at night people were sat in the hallways making a noise.the room was very poor standard
Only location for me
Very tired. Needs a lot of updating. Tatty bathroom, rusty all round taps, Leaky bath. I was given towels to soak up the water as no maintenance. No internet access even though I was sat right next to it. Would not go again.
Vacinity to airport
Rooms were dirty, radiator could not be turned off the room was like an oven and was rad was banging all night along with the lift door. Dirty floor - corridors - bathroom - but what do you expect for £34 and this is all it was worth - no more
When I left!
Everything! Filthy, disgusting, I even considered sleeping in my car!
it was okay
the bath mat was aweful tell the cleaners to bleach them not there fault unless yoiu know how bad they can get otherwise not a problem oh maybe hoover the back fo the draws .. think i should be a hotel inspector
staff were very friendly
Staff are friendly Breakfast was good Within easy reach of town centre Easy free parking Last 2 stays were very good as my rooms were on the right hand side of the reception but this time room on left hand side not as good.
Beds not very comfortable and floor boards in room made loads of noise so if someone got up to use bathroom they woke you up. Clearly able to see patches on the wall where paint had ben touched up and shame carpet was worn out infront of the bedside table inbetween the beds. Problems in bathroom not resolved for our 2 night stay.
Reasonably quiet location
Reception staff cold and unfriendly.Early closure of residents bar. Most places stay open longer for guests not returning later in the evening.
Not a lot.
Where do I begin? To visit this hotel is like entering a time-warp and finding yourself back at the standards of the early 1970’s. I arrived at 11:pm and all reception staff (3)were smoking just outside the main entrance and I had to pass through a cloud of noxious fumes to gain entry. Not a good start. The staff were friendly enough but I think they also live in the referred time warp as they seem to think that the hotel standards are quite high! Access to my room was down a bewildering maze of corridors which were reasonably wide and imposing to begin with but ever narrowing at each turn of a corner. In the wing I stayed in, taking the creaky ancient lift with the outer and inner hand-operated doors is essential to transport baggage. Selling it as an antique might go some way to pay for installation of a much-needed modern automatic lift. Upstairs the corridors and doors are not really wide enough for a person pulling a couple of wheeled suitcases. The room was nothing like the web-site. Grotty room with grotty furnishings and grotty bathroom are too kind. The room was non-smoking but the carpets or curtains reeked of ancient tobacco smoke. The bed was comfortable enough and I slept easily when I got used to the smell of the ancient smoke. Going for breakfast the next morning (Saturday) I decided to bypass the lift from the second floor and to take the nearby access staircase instead. It ended on the first floor with no apparent way of taking a staircase to the ground floor. Very bewildering. I think this maze would be most unsuitable if there was a fire emergency. I backtracked to the second floor towards my room and found a very steep and narrow staircase all the way to the ground floor. Only to find at 09.35 that breakfast actually finishes at 09.30, not just weekdays, but also weekends. No Breakfast on Saturday. I had dinner that night which was a reasonably good buffet, good price and quality. I asked the waitress to bring me a glass of dry red wine.
Big bedroom with tv and wifi
The bedroom was dirty, the sheets had holes, no staff welcomed us, they just gived us the key and when we went away they didn't say us anything.
Beds were comfortable.
Having to change rooms because our booking had been cancelled, not by us. Having to queue quite a while for breakfast the following morning. The tv in our room didn't work and nobody came to fix it despite a request.
