It's an old style cheap as chips hotel that does the job!

The booking system. I wasn't allowed to pay by card over the phone so had to travel in from Liverpool with the Company card to pay for the 10 rooms I had booked for colleagues.

The location was excellent.

The decor was tired and dingy looking. The single room I had was so narrow I could just get in. The bed was most uncomfortable with a lumpy mattress. Having the bed jammed up under the windows wasn't the nicest of experiences but the room was so narrow there was no where else it could have gone. I certainly wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel overbooked and I effectively had to sleep on the floor. The staff didn't care and were rude and unhelpful. The hotel is so poorly managed I would never go back there.

The location and customer service was superb and was extremely budget friendly.

The room was really old, had some sort of water marks all over the walls the wallpaper was off in some places the bed was not comftable at all it had a dampy smell, the bathroom had mold on the silicone and ceiling, the carpet was very dirty, they had this seat thing that they themselves had made was covered in a nasty dirty pink carpet and was very unstable, the curtains where black and there ment to be white, I hated the hole experience ruined my weekend I will never recommend this hotel they need a major revamp Room 102

Everything its clean

Did not have too much facilities and also did not have technology

That the staff were good and it accommodated both smokers and non smokers

Bed was horrible did not sleep one bit it was noisy and the room was tidy but not clean and the net curtain needed a wash or a new one

It was cheap and in a good location

The staff were very slow to book us in, it was very noisy and the alarm went off at 4am!

The location was very close to the University where I was visiting and is central

Everything else! 1. Tired old rooms 2. Minute TV 3. No internet in rooms - at all, not fro any money 4. The breakfast was awful 5. The rooms were tiny 6. The bathroom was ancient and no bath 7. Soap shampoo etc was in an old bottle, half full and used, uck! 8. No tooth brush or razor behind the reception BUT by a country mile, the worst thing was the fact that they put plastci sheets on the bed to prevent "guests" from dirtying the matress with any accidents - what kind of clientele do they have

I went through a panic thinking I lost my room key, this led to me looking under the bed, an action I will never do again, I know most people will never look under there but there were plates, bits of food and cutlery under there, just saying that someone should check these places now and then

breakfast was lovely, bed was comfy.

The service was great and was it a prime location which was perfect!

We were awoken at 4am to a loud noise that almost sounded like a fire drill to which we weren't told anything about it the next day and had a very restless sleep the sound!

Nice customer service when I asked to change room because it was noisy, on a street.

The fact that the get out time has now changed to 11am, used to be 12 I think and I book members of my theatre company there who need that extra hour because of working late, So unfortunately I will probably not be booking again.

There was no remote control fot TV in the room. I rand twice if I could have it so that I can change the chennels. No one delivered. I was very upset. in the end I just switch the TV. Also I have to pay two pounds because I was paying by credit card. When I booked the room there was nothing in the booking that I have to pay two pounds which I did. THe receptionist just I asked me read the card which say you pay two pounds. I should have been informed at the time of my booking. The receptionests were not well coming.

Room was clean.

I had asked for a quiet room and ended up right next to the lift. The bed was situated next to a draughty window so I had to wear a jumper to bed. My room lock was faulty so I had to re-visit reception three times (which involved going up/down in the lift with my luggage - in the end, the duty manager said it was because of the way I used it! I was charged £2 for using my Visa debit card to pay for my room - I thought that there would be no booking fees at all. The housekeeping ignored my "do not disturb" sign and was argumentative. In the end, he simply left clean towels, etc on the ground outside my room!

When I arrived at the hotel at 12:00 I was told that an "early check-in" would cost 10 pounds extra
