food was nice had the sea bass would recommend it that's about it for this hotel you don't get large portions either really is on the small side and at 15 pounds would of expected some thing a little more filling
couldn't get parked we have a disabled badge all parking spaces took by none badge holders told staff the relply in broken English was what can we do??? bed was terrible springs sticking in us all night and found several dark hairs on the sheets to tried to do any thng about would of got the same reply about the car parking no doubt staff jus didn't seem to care about any thing would never stay there again would rather sleep in car and that's saying some thing as im a disabled lady wasn't treated right at all
Handy for Manchester Airport and shuttles worked well. This was sole purpose of our visit so it was satisfactory.
Hotel is a bit jaded.
Beds comfy and room clean and pleasant. Huge parking area. Staff pleasant.
Drove past the entrance to hotel. It was not very obvious. Bar area packed due to wedding . Difficulty finding somewhere to sit for a drink. Only one of the two couples received their early morning call.
Hard bed ,cleanliness and inability to speak to reception staff. By phone.
Food was simple and cheap
Felt too impersonal
Comfy Bed Good sized room
Location is a bit far out of Didsbury
- At first the hotel looks nice. At first...
- Don't go there if you expect to sleep. The walls are paper hin, you can hear everything on the room next to yours, the hall, or the elevator. There is a sort of night club (not sure) on the ground floor, where they held a student party in the middle of the week. By 21:00, drunk student wandered or passed out in the hall, until 4:30. Spent 2 consecutive nights with less than 4 hours of sleep. - The cleanliness of the rooms was not of high standard (carpet and bathroom) - No Wifi in the rooms.
Over all good just got disturbed because i forgot to lock the door twice in two hours by same person
The car park was not smooth needs to resurface
The hotel was housing asylum seekers, so all public areas were had lots of people in carpet slippers and sometimes barefoot. Extremley dirty all areas. Rms in desperate need of upgrade very expensive for the type of hotel it is: Staff so disinterested just BAD.
Reception staff very unhelpful
The food was average
The area close to didsbury
A Monday night , the place was packed with people full drunk and men sitting propped up on high chairs looking for woman .
Closeness to the airport and reasonably priced.
The noise from the TV and that you could hear the person next door.
I asked for smoking room and was told that I had one but when I got to it, it wasn't a smoking room. They told me to get back to where ever I booked and complain. The door seemed to have been pushed in at some time and wasn't fixed very well. A lot of noise during the night. I would not stay again as very expensive. Lift seemed to be unsafe and had to climb to room with bags.
Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Room was spacious with a decent bathroom, shower was amazing and lovely big bath. Food was nice. Great value for money. Bus stop into Manchester right outside of the hotel
Quite far out of Manchester city centre. TV wasn't great.
The room and bathroom size was good as we travelled with our toddler and as it was a Sunday night it was quiet outside. However, this may be a different story on a Saturday night as our room appeared to be above a function room. Plenty of car parking on site.
The service in the restaurant was poor and we could not order any drinks as the bar hadn't opened at 6pm?!? The food quality was poor and was a hot buffet.. In the bedroom there were at least 30 Ladybirds living in the wooden window frame!!! No child locks on the windows. Although car park was a good size it was quite muddy....
Location really quit Pool & Gym
Lift broken for 2 days (weekdays). Staff did not take any action. Image of hotel is clearly deteriorated.
Close to airport and Old Trafford
Charged extra for breakfast because we didn't book at reception when checking in. Didn't tell us we could get a deal on breakfast when we were checking in.
Old stains on the eiderdown over the quilt cover.
Got transferred to another hotel and when we got there was told there was no room ready despite calling in advance to check front of house dismissed our complaint and would not let me speak to a manager just dismissed me with a hand gesture. Was given a free breakfast for the transfer but there was hardly any food and most was cold.
The food was worse than school dinners The staff were not helpful and appeared ill-trained. Had to pay up front for everything The asylum seekers taking large helpings from the buffet. No sooner had you put you knife and fork down, your plate was cleared even though my partner was still eating. The puddings were in-edible. No towels in the room. The toilet still had faeces around the rim from the previous occupant. We were locked out of our room after one night although we had paid for 2 nights.
Lovely location, pleasant staff. Rooms very nice. small Italian style restaurant was very good, and great value for money. Waiter very pleasant too. Overall experience was good. Would use again.
The signage for the hotel is poor, had to call for directions. The bed in the room looked lovely until you sat on it. Very thin mattress, you could feel every spring, even woke myself up turning in the night it was so squeaky. Main restaurant I felt lacked in options, small selection of buffet style food. We used the small Italian restaurant which was lovely.
The jacuzzi & Ahmed on the reception desk was very helpful.
You could hear noise from the room above.
Shower was nice small room but comfortable.
Toilet did not flush properly and loads of noise between 3-4am due to people returning from night out. Shower started dripping in middle of night for no apparent reason.
Breakfast and hotel in general
Here's were my opinion changes. U badly need more skilled people at reception and some form of security there was a function on and people were running through our corridor shouting an screaming didn't get much sleep. If you spent the money on a few extra staff members this problem could be rectified. This is a massive shame because there are a lot of positives in this hotel and it won't take thousands to sort out, but if u don't spend what's required you will loose more than thousands. I would like to stay at this hotel again but not if it means a sleepless night. I hope these comments are helpful look forward to hearing from you. Karl Daniel.
