I came from Spain to meet up with Old friends. The first problem we found was the food in the overstuffed Pizza was very salty and we and the other customers left the food! Also We were all meeting in Fridays bar which we saw on the web site was open at 9pm , yes It was closed and has been for some time. So we were stuck in the Hotel bar with a 30th birthday party and a wedding. I hoped with staying at your hotel we could have a nice meal, then sit in a nice bar with music how wrong was I. |

Bar service excellent, good rooms for the price paid. Being threatened by the DJ for blocking his car exit. Please bear in mind I was parked correctly and he was parked on a paved area where he should not have been. Raised this with hotel management on the night and the next day, but not convinced they were going to act. Hotel said it was nothing to do with them as they did not employ him,. I disagree, it is something to do with the hotel when it is on their property and I am a paying guest. Did not get any feedback, or evan an appology. |

Room was spacious and clean. The staff that we spoke to were friendly and helpful. Hotel was large enough not to hear a lot of noise from the weddings etc. The car parking was a nightmare early on not enough spaces took half hour to park it also took 45 mins to check in not enough people on reception for such a busy hotel. |

Standing and waiting for 60 min to check in. At one point the two check-in staff disappeard through a door behind the counter for 10 min - there were about 15 of us waiting to check-in! Being checked in and opening my room to find someone else had been checked into my room! |

The room allocation was really very very good, and exceedingly good value for money. No remote controls for the television. |

Excellent room and bathroom. Good no nosense facilities. We decide against the buffet breakfast. It was shrivelled up through standing around too long. |

The Breakfast buffet. I had to move room as the Executive Double I had booked turned out to be a twin double where the springs on the mattress were so poor, there was no way I was going to get a decent nights sleep. I was then moved to another room which was actually a family room which was marginally better and had bunk beads, hardly Executive. There was also no bed throws so this didn't help with the presentation. |

very little. Arrived to lobby full of drunken football fans, long wait to check in, my reservation was lost, room was dirty, bathroom had mould in corners, bad tv reception. Restaurant was DREADFUL: expensive, awful food - carvery with all meats piled on top of each other, a health hazzard, no soup, starters were still frozen (quiche! |

The thing that pleased me most about my stay at the Britannia Country House Hotel was that it was for just one night. If i could pick a good point and its not easy,The room and bathroom was clean. I wasn't particulary pleased when a man and woman entered my room as i was getting out of the shower, not their fault as they were assigned the same room. When i went to the restarant the starter i ordered wes not available so i ordered a different one.I asked for my main course but was told there was no meat available.I decided to have dinner in a nearby restaurant. |
