The location is okay, plenty of parking space As I entered the room, I found that the kettle was dirty and filled with some foul smelling fluid. There were pubic hair in the bath tub, many signs of mould in the bathroom. The room was not cleaned to a reasonable standard. There was foul smell in the room each time I entered. The room keys did not work and had to have them reset at reception everyday. There was a phone in the room but I could not use it to call reception for free. Despite putting a sign before leaving each morning, the bedsheets were never changed, and the bed was not done properly for all 8 days I stayed there. The carpets were not cleaned properly, nor the bathroom. I could see dried soap scum in the bath tub each day. The was basin and toilet was no exception. On the last day of my stay, there was no hot water. Overall a terrible experience. We did make a complaint to the hotel staff about each of the points described above, they said they'd have it sorted but never did. I guess they turn a blind eye for customers that have paid for their stay.

I liked the convenience of bus travel to/from the airport and to/from city center. As an avid budget traveler to the uk, this was my first trip to Manchester. The main purpose of the trip was for the ManU v Crystal Palace football match up. Even though it was a bit of a stroll from Palatine Road to the hotel, I always felt secure. Room was small but who needs a large bedroom for single person usage - but the double bed was comfortable, room clean, and quiet -- and a great price through booking.com. If you use public transportation other than taxis, this may not be the hotel for a person who has trouble walking to/from the bus stop.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, everything was broken, staff were rude and lazy, room was filthy with windows thick with dirt, no-one answers the phone when you call reception and whole building has a damp smell to it. Never ever will I set a foot in there, I hope they shut down soon for the safety of the public. Broken tv, no remote, filthy furniture stench of damp in every room filthy bath burns in bed linen no food available windows so dirty they were opaque toilet didnt flush All this and I was in AN EXECUTIVE SUITE!!!!!

Facilities. Style. Helpful and friendly staff. Bathroom could have been cleaner. Floor could have been cleaner. Found remaining penis-shaped glitter from some former guest on the floor.

Excellent value for money. There is a bus stop close that brings you to the heart of Manchester within 30 minutes, but also goes straight to the airport. If you're looking to go shopping, the Trafford Centre is also very reachable with public transport. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel room was big and the bed comfortable. The room had a bath with jacuzzi and the rooms were clean. An excellent stay for an excellent price The WiFi doesn't reach the room

Nice welcome and value for money. Bar staff were engaging and swift with their service. The room was dated and in need of a lick of paint. Bed was hard and not the best but I did not expect the ritz for the price I paid.

We stayed there overnight before flying out of Manchester airport. Everything about this overnight stop was lovely. The room was lovely and even had a jaccuzzi bath, the hotel was situated in a lovely spot and only took 15 mins transfer to the airport. We enjoyed a lovely dinner and we had another dinner there when we returned to pick up our car. The whole nights stay was a delight and we will definitely stay there overnight on our next flight out of Manchester.

The location was good - very convenient to airport and to manchester itself. The staff were very helpful. The rooms were basic but very clean. The only one complaint I had about the hotel was the noise from the wedding music we had to endure on the sat night. We had an early start on sun morning 5 am so got to bed at 9.30 on the sat night but did not get a wink of sleep until about 2pm due to the loud music from wedding. We had a family room and I think that family rooms should be away from function rooms etc as children need their sleep. Needless to say we were very very out of it from lack of sleep on sunday.

The hotel staff upgraded our room for free so we were very impressed. I loved the jacuzzi bath. The rooms are abit outdated but the beds are comfortable and the entrance to the hotel and Reception area is very posh. We are rebooking to go for new year, were going to the ManU match on new years eve and then going for a posh gala dinner and a night of entertainment new years eve. Cant wait!

Good breakfasts (though you have to pay extra) and pleasant staff. Foyer jolly with Christmas decorations. Good quiet location near Manchester city. Our room had not been refurbished for a long time. There was mold in the upper part of one of the corners of the room. The beds were very hard. It was a smoking room, although we hadn't been warned about this. I presume it is because we requested a quiet room, and it was. The light in the bathroom flickered badly, even though we reported this (we were there 4 nights). This was the old part of the hotel, and the lift only had room for one or two without luggage, or one with. There was a fire alarm c 1am on Friday night as a result of a dj putting out too much smoke in a disco downstairs. We were concerned that if there had been a real fire there wasn't a clear sense of who was in charge, how people would be accounted for, where one should muster, or even the best ways out.
