The location is okay, plenty of parking space As I entered the room, I found that the kettle was dirty and filled with some foul smelling fluid. There were pubic hair in the bath tub, many signs of mould in the bathroom. The room was not cleaned to a reasonable standard. There was foul smell in the room each time I entered. The room keys did not work and had to have them reset at reception everyday. There was a phone in the room but I could not use it to call reception for free. Despite putting a sign before leaving each morning, the bedsheets were never changed, and the bed was not done properly for all 8 days I stayed there. The carpets were not cleaned properly, nor the bathroom. I could see dried soap scum in the bath tub each day. The was basin and toilet was no exception. On the last day of my stay, there was no hot water. Overall a terrible experience. We did make a complaint to the hotel staff about each of the points described above, they said they'd have it sorted but never did. I guess they turn a blind eye for customers that have paid for their stay.

We primarily picked the Britannia because our son works as a coach for manchester city, and has an apartment in Didsbury. We only stopped fpr the one night as we were staying in his apartment for the remainder of the week. However we did notice that patrons were using the hotel as an overnight stay prior to leaving on holiday and using the hotel car-park for the duration of their overseas location, as part of their holiday deal. We will be considering this for future holidays via manchester airport. The one criticisumn was the room that we stayed in could be re-arranged to give more space by getting rid of the large mahogany unit that the T.V. sits on, it's neither use nor ornament as we geordies would say!!!

The management and staff were courteous hospitable and helpful. Hotel although in need of some refurbishment was clean, presentable and well designed. The location of the hotel is superb for commuting in and out of Manchester I didn't use my car all weekend. . The furniture and most certainly the televisions in the rooms require updating. The serving area for desserts in the restaurant should be separated from the carvery area.

The hotel was well situated though hard to find with no street number. The room was very small compared to Australia standards, but clean and comfortable.

Amost everything - see below The doors to the main entrance did not open automatically, this created a difficult situation for my husband and myself. We were on the last day of a 6-week vacation to the UK from San Francisco, Ca and as a result we had quite a bit of luggage. Trying to pull/push - can't quite remember - open the door and drag the luggage through was quite arduous. The was no bell hop available to assist us taking the luggage to our room. The elevator was quite small and did not allow for the use of the "trolly" as a result we had to make numerous luggage trips from the loby to our room. We ate dinner in the restaurant and paid with credit card. Unfortunately the bar in the restaurant would not accept credit cards. Since this was the last day of our 6-week vacation we did not have a lot of pounds sterling, we had euros and dollars but very little british pounds. We found this arrangement of being able to pay for our meal with a credit card but unable to purchasse a nice dinner wine a bit out of touch with the 21st century!

Value for money I have stayed at quite a few Brittania hotels and they are all the same in that the corridor doors slam instaed of having working closers. What this means is everytime someone walks to or from their rooms the corridor door slams waking me up.

We stayed overnight and parked the car for 8 days on an Airport transfer. The hotel was immaculate, our room beautifully decorated with a superb bathroom. Such a shame we had to leave at 4am to catch a plane from Manchester Airport. All staff were excellent from Reception to Bar Staff to Restaurant Staff. The Mini Bus Driver was very helpful and knowledgeable and extremely clear about where we would be picked up on our return from holiday. I cannot praise this hotel enough and will continue to recommend it to all my friends.

I was in a single room approx 6ftx6ft with a single bed against the wall, the mattress was about 8 inches thick there is about 18 inch space after alighting from the bed to the opposite wall. The elevator adjacent to the the room was noisy. When I asked the management to change the room he said the Hotel was full. I have stayed in Brittania airport hote on previous stop over and it was 1000% better. I will not stay at bchh ever again

I was disappointed that there was no wi-fi in the rooms or indeed any Internet connections. Also a distinct lack of sockets meant I had plug the tv out to charge my phone. Although I did find one in the wardrobe later. There was a couple of sheets of paper but no pen so I had to rummage through my luggage to find one. Bedroom was small but adequate and bathroom was a good size and very clean. Wi-fi issue should be addresses. I was told they had 4 routers. But I couldn't pick up a signal in the restaurant bar. I had to sit on a table in the hallway leading to the rooms to get a signal. Every Tom Dick and Harry had a look over your shoulder. Not good when your dealing with sensitive data. Still, at Least the room was comfy.

Deal price of my room was good, however I was above the main function room. Noise from the disco was easily heard but was lowered /switched off at around 10pm so didn't interfere with my sleep. The cask bitter from the bar during my stay was well kept and the staff helpful and friendly. Intermittent WiFi on laptop, although iPhone was fine so could have been an issue with my hardwear?

Pool and spa facilities. The hotel was filthy, really filthy. Walls paper thin and noise from other guests went on all night. No night security and No answer from reception when we needed help because of threatening and abusive guests outside our door. A dreadful experience we will never repeat, the management should be ashamed.

Nothing!!! To be honest the only thing the hotel had going for it was the Jacuzzi bath (which didn't work!!!!). The staff were sullen and extremely unhelpful. The food in the restaurant was disgusting, but the waiter was fairly helpful. There was lots of noise all night which woke myself and my 4 yung children at 330 am/4am/430am and again at 530am when I lost my temper and went outside to find two indian porters trying to get into next door by hammering on the door threatening to use their master key if he didnt open it. They were clearly getting nowhere until I had my say and told the aforementioned neighbour he was taking liberties and had been for the last 2 hours!!!! I am seriously disappointed with this hotel and for the £80 paid think a complete refund is the very least they can do. It was an absolute disgrace to stay there. 4 children under 10 woken up at all hours of the night!!!, Bunkbeds which were falling apart and a cot placed right next to where you boil a kettle!!!! An absolute joke!!!

They have a decent internet There was no hot water in the morning. The hot water pressure was gone. The Manager on reception insisted the reason was because 'United Utilities' were doing work on the water mains in the street. I pointed out to her that the cold water pressure in the hotel was fine, just the hot water was down. And that hot water is generated in the building, it doesn't come in from the street. In other words, the failure was in the building. The Lady didn't want to know. She just repeated her excuse parrot- fashion. She just didn't want to say anything else. After an ice-cold shower I was annoyed about this obvious refusal to take responsibility.
