The red pillow was not wash but the rest was fine
The place was home to a number of asylum seekers. The car parks were almost full and any green spacewas also covered with cars. The carpets on the stairs were filthy and could have done with a good hoovering. Will not be going back there ever again.
the buffet meal is very good value for money and lovely food,a very good restaurant, our room was very nice, good value for money, transport to airport is very reliable,it also had a good spa and gym
As with my stay last time, I was very pleased with the friendly reception from the staff. This hotel enjoys great access to southern Manchester.
After staying a few weeks ago and being very pleased, I decided to stay again for a work trip. This time I was accompanied by my girlfriend and we were given room 246. Very loud lift as located right next to the lift shaft as well as droning motor sounds from outside... very poor night's sleep and to top it off, we were woken at 8am by housekeeping knocking on the door!
handy for the airport and close enough to the town to go for a meal at night
close to my meeting
parking - be aware the hotel rents the whole car park for airport parking, no spaces for residents close to the entrance either. A real shambles and bad first experience. staff - couldn't speak english and rather than checking me in offered me parking for £5 a day. room - extractor fan was on non stop, couldn't turn it off, also in the room below so sleep was out of the question. Smelt a bit and the bed and pillows were terrible, I heard the springs pop when I moved. Breaksfast - I wasn't told about breakfast during my check-in ordeal, but when I turned up there was no one to give me a table, secondly the waitress I hailed down had to ask her manager if I could eat breakfast as I didn't have a voucher?! I had to pay upfront at another desk before getting a cup of coffee. Food was poor too. I would never stay again.
Convenient for airport, great value in restaurant.
Lack of Entertainment, but we were only there for one night!
The hotel is very tired and dirty. The heating only works for a limited time and therefore the room was very cold.
Sign on the bath saying do not switch jacuzzi bath without filling with water. Very disappointed didn't have a Jacuzzi bath,. Not a pleasant smell in the room. Was too tired to complain had a horrendous journey.
Closeness to the airport and price
Everything seemed a bit tired
Location easy to get to met up with friends in didsbury for a few drinks before holiday to Jamaica the following day able to leave car here safely for duration of holiday excellent value
bathroom clean, modern and decent size
Very noisy all through the night, room very small, staff disinterested, bar area not clean
Staff said shuttle would come to airport to pick up at specified time and it did not. Number at airport to call hotel on sign would not work from non-UK numbers. After paying for regular taxi, cars parked everywhere in crazy fashion, line out the door at hotel, staff had trouble speaking English, no one seemed to understand how shuttle (actually Club Car Co.) worked, hotel keys never worked, hotel under construction, annoyance didn't change for two nights.
Not getting caught smoking in the bathroom.
The constantly full parking spaces, due to airport paid parking.
Location suited our needs Spacious Meal at Overstuffed Pizza restaurant was good value and well presented
Kept awake by noisy guests Bathroom tiling needed update and room not cleaned to expected standard (dirt around taps, old soap left on sink, dusty surfaces) Pillows uncomfortable Bedside lampshade loose Very difficult to find parking space
Service of staff generally very good but check in girl gave us a tatty smoking room, we booked no smoking and expected better! We ate in the restaurant which was cheap and cheerful. We stayed a few years ago and much preferred the proper menu, we would rather pay more for a better quality meal and more choice.
Room was pokey old fashioned and smelt stale but everything looked clean. It wasnt til we got into bed we realised it was a smoking room. The pillow and bedding smelt heavily of cigarettes and it became clear they hadn't been cleaned for a long time. We were very tired and tried to sleep but couldn't. It was too late to ask to move as by then we were undressed and very tired. The airport taxi bringing us back to the hotel was sent to the wrong terminal and we waited outside at tower road for 45 mins before it arrived and three phone calls later. At least the last operator sorted it out or we would still be waiting!
clean spacious room, free upgrade given due to overbooking of standard rooms which included a jacuzzi bath - bonus! Room service options etc and free wifi code all clearly stated in room. Great location.
parking is a nightmare, we had to park on the driveway leading up to the hotel as it doesn't accomodate the amount of guests staying especially when functions are on at the same time. Long waiting time to check in as so many people staying. We were looking for a quiet relaxing break but it was so busy guess we were unlucky on our weekend! We were given a free upgrade which was great but not a smoking room which we had requested. Cleaners very noisy outside the room at around 9am.
Low price and close to airport. Great value if you park while away holiday.
Nothing for the price it was OK.
This place is very bad the rooms are tiny very bad cleaned and staff aren't helpful
There was nothing.
I had a staff member literally banged off the door at 10.56 to tell us that we needed to check out at eleven. When I questioned him, as I explained that I fought his actions were bad customer services, he replied I do this all the time mate. That will be the last time Brittanina country house sees my money again. Appealing
The TV did not work (no signal despite trying to adjust arial cable)and the carpet smelt of mould as the radiator had been leaking and the carpet was water stained. Noise from next door room.
staff , food , lounge , cheerful waiters in dining room , room was comfy ,
i arrived after driving down from aberdeen 7 hrs , i use a stick as ive knee probs . i drove round for 20 mins and i was tired after trip , i had to park near main gate and carry my 3 bags up to the hotel , every time i went out it was same drive round 20 mins to find place to park , so i wont be coming back to your hotel till u sort out parking , jim i notice on ur pic of hotel not one car in sight why !!!!?
Bed too small. Dirty toilets and bathroom. Noisy staff.Booking procedure was terrible.
We were visiting family and so we spent little more than sleeping time there. But when I needed assistance at reception, the staff were very helpful.
