The Buffet style breakfast and evening meal were really a great plus with the helpful staff making our short four day break a great success. The room we were originally booked for was already full and we were treated to a free upgrade. The one downside was the lack of car park space and this was partially eradicated by the pooling of car park space with two close by hotels. The extreme heat of the week added to the heating system within the hotel was only partially counteracted by the placement of fans within the rooms.

If it wasn't for the staff the hotel has nothing gong for it. Some of your customer policies leave a lot to be desired. The rooms were basic and I felt like I was going into hospital for the night. There was no atmosphere in the place, in other words everything is to bright. The decor was in poor condition. The bar shuts at 11 o'clock, your staff were unwilling due to hotel policy to supply myself and my wife with a drink I had asked for. It was not my problem that the hotel ran out of house wine, we were told it was not hotel policy to open bottles unless I bought it. During the time I was in the bar in the early evening, I was asked by the cleaner to lift my feet while she vacuumed around me. On the net when booking I was told no booking fee, paid for room on arrival using debit card charged £2 to my mind that is a booking fee. I could raise other issues but they are complaints, perhaps the hotel should be renamed Faulty Towers. I have stayed in the same hotel some years ago when it was called the Ambassador, in my view the company that own it now have ruined it. At £140 a night very poor value for money.

In need of serious overall, creaking beds !, paint peeling off ceilings, dodgy hairdryer ?, overall a good dose of tlc would make this Hotel a nice place to be. Staff were good, However the Manager and staff were smoking outside of the Main Doors, breakfast was ok. Not so sure I would stay again unless I had no other options. Would only recommend as a last resort.

The location to the east cliff for the air show The shabbieness of the outside of the building the carpets inside were dirty, carpark a joke if you got a space you had to leave you car there as there was no way you would be able to repark, staff who seemed bored ,not enough staff at dinnertime, paintwork inside dingy chipped and dirty. The whole hotel bably needs a complete makeover.

It is a crummy run down hotel, they charge you for using the basic pool and spa facilities. The lifts stank of urine. The walls were very thin and the hotel seemed full of stag and hen party making too much noise in the early hours. Parking facility is poor and no control over where people were parking. The room keys did not work 4 or 5 times for us and other guests with certain rooms so peopl ehad to be moved. Would never stay there again, but it was difficult to find anywhere for 1 night in bournemouth.

You can take a dog which is why we booked but it was so very noisy the small dog barked at night the first night.......it was very close to the cliff-top and sea views, and local taxis. Not sufficient parking...we had a disabled badge and in three nights we were unable to get any parking space at the hotel...in fact all the emergency vehicle access points were also fully blocked.the decor was scruffy, piles of old carpet outside the front door which was full of guests puffing fags....breakfast was sufficient cooked breakfast but no proper continental type choices just tinned fruit.a hotel entrance advert that offers a burger for £2.99 tells you all you need to know about this worn-out place...the hotel was very noisy at night, from the outside noise and also in the hotel lots of drunken guests making a noise late at night, clunking doors etc. obvious problems with staffing level at breakfast.

It was close to the sea front and it was my birthday weekend. The fact we had two single beds and both mornings of our stay we had to wait for plates for our breakfast and fresh toast , which would have been better presented without blue serviettes/tissue paper .The staff did not appear to be working in a team environment!!!.

We arrived late due to family commitments to find no rooms available in price paid without hesitation we were upgraded but thought was even given to a party on ground floor and we were offered a superior room on 3rd floor away from any possible noise. What more can you ask for. We will certainly be booking in again in the near future.

It was lovely, although an older hotel, it was very very clean, and had a lot of modern facitlities in our room. we asked for a lst floor, and that was no trouble at all, we were given a choice of a bath or shower, and we chose shower, because of limited use of our legs. We were very pleased with the whole hotel. the staff were excellent, very helpful, and the food was great., especially the all in Fri/Sat night buffet, which was marvellous at £10.95.per person. Will definately be going again. Also the free parking was a bonus, as when we go to the albion in Brighton, it costs £15. per day to park. Nothing to complain about at all.

Location - close to the Sea and the town centre There was a £2 charge for using a debit or credit card to pay - so really the room was £2 more than advertised . The room was above the bar and there was a lot of noise until late . There were areas of the room that had not been cleaned well.

After reading bad reviews we were expecting worse but actually our room was nice, large and surprisingly good. Receptionists are hiding in back room and you might need to shout to get attention. Breakfast was ok, could been worse. 3 out of 10

Central location. Breakfast room was chaotic, needed separate areas for serving the cooked choices and cereals, fruit etc. Also tea and coffee from flasks a bad idea. That said, staff in breakfast room were helpful.

Our room was dirty and when closing the curtains they fell off the wall- bad start. My partner woke to find she had been bitten all over her thigh and leg by something in the bed. The fire alarm went off twice, once at night and then at 8.45 in the morning waking us up on a day we had planned a sleep in. Upon arriving for breakfast we had to wait 30 minutes for stock to be replenished.

We were greeted very well by the receptionist Maria. She was very helpful and polite. The only good thing about the hotel. The room was very small, bathromm even smaller. you couldnt sit on the toilet even if you were a gymnast. The TV was on a table lower than the bed. worn out carpet bad smell.. Very poor housekeeping.. Dont go there people.
