Bed was not comfy Head board a pain General uncleanlness
The wifi didn't reach the room and the bed was hard.
Lovely staff to meet and greet, many different night time things like pubs or bars they have in the hotel but you do have to get buzzed back in the hotel after a certain time
Damp on the wall , the room was too hot...... wifi not working the place is a dump
Right Across the road from Stoke Station. I have never seen so many and so frequent bus services. Britannia buy these old hotels and to be fair are in the middle of decorating...we had a lovely view of scaffolding right outside the window!
The Hotel is used by Coach Holiday Company so be prepared to Wait a long time when you are behind the old folk checking in/ checking out/ taking breakfast at the buffet . Thought the breakfast was overpriced for the quality of the ingredients.. Yes you could have as much as you wanted but it all tasted a bit Bland. It would be really nice to see some money thrown at this hotel.
Dinner looked revolting. Looked like a combination of prison muck and cheap all inclusive dining.
Generally it was fine
No sport channels
Old building with original features and a modern touch.
breakfast too dear
Staff friendliness. Ease of checking in. Breakfast options. Comfortable bed. Full range of bathroom toiletries.
Dated decor. TV picture went slightly off one side of the screen. Minor "bumps and scrapes" on carpets, walls, and floors.
Great, helpful staff. The restaurant serves quality food.
Room a bit small, but adequate.
The hotel is dated, not particularly clean and definitely not worth the price.
No water for 6 hours Disinterested staff Dirty tired and dated Poor food
Location was great, I drove but Train station right outside. The Price was great for the 2 nights for what I got.
Staff were friendly but had no people skills a simple "Hello" and "goodbye" would have been nice start. Wifi wasn't available in my room! and towels provided are really small
-Food -dated ambience -worn out furniture -bit dirty in places
It was clean. And value for money .
My boyfriend and I came to go Alton Towers. The receptionist told Us to get to the bus stop at 9 o'clock in the morning to catch a special shuttle across the road. After waiting nearly a hour we realised she didn't no what she was talking about and with the help of local strangers we finally made our way to the city where we then caught a normal bus. They should really be more informative about the local area.
I will return to the hotel on another occasion
Appalled that we didnt get informed about the wedding party Saturday 11th and we could hear blaring music till early hours and could even feel vibration. Would have been nice to atleast been informed on arrival.
Good value for money, comfy night and right opposite stoke station which meant location was perfect to get to Hanley (main town)
it was a bit dated
spacious rooms and chairs or sofa they upgraded our room nice relaxing bar discount on Alton towers tickets
came across very creepy at night when we turned on the lights they would flicker weriodly before coming on and make me feel like someone was going to come running at me with a knife on a horror filim didnt feel comfortable for a good night sleep
It was very convenient for a one night stopover for me. Right opposite Stoke on Trent Train station and about 10 minutes walk away from shops. I found the staff friendly and very helpful.
Woke up during the night from the noise of a passing crowd - don't think there was double glazed windows.
The floorboard in the room creaked badly. The shower knob came out in my hand. The radiator did not work. I reported all these to the Receptionist who promised to have them looked at whilst I was out but apparently nothing was done. The breakfast was just about edible.
Walkable to lots of pubs and restaurants Great breakfast.
The place is a little tired. The lift wasn't working our first evening
fact that i knew where it was from previous trip via train
lack of interaction from staff particularly at reception, still to this day not had receipt for room or parking, given the fact that i paid cash on arrival, don't suppose am ever likely to get receipt
Only paid £45 so cant be too critical
Dated décor in rooms & throughout the hotel TV very old and remote didn't work properly Big room key No WIFI in room
