Great value hotel for the money, great bedrooms and en-suite, room lovely and warm all night, great bar, restaurant and coffee bar.
I was only staying for 1 night!
could do more with restaurant - menu etc
Excellent value for money. Literally opposite train station. The room was lovely and hotel has lots of character. Restaurant food was really good and very reasonable.
Television in my room was not working. Reported it next morning at reception and receptionist said she would get maintenance to fix it. When I returned that evening it still wasnt fixed.
No wifi in the rooms.
It was in front of the train station
The kettles were very dirty.
The bathroom had black mold stained tile grout in places.
Good value evening meal
Breakfast a bit pricey but worth it.
Location was fantastic. Good price. Room was perfect for what I needed.
Staff didn't offer much help in terms of where nearby things where or if I needed anything. But they did offer an room for me to keep my stuff safe while I was at my interview. WiFi signal wasn't great.
creeky floor boards ( you can hear people walking from floor above) and not much sound proof you can hear people walking past the corridor and or from the adjacent room
The staff were very pleasant from check in to check out. Room was clean and tidy.
The reception on the television was terrible but should get looked at. Luckily I only used it for a brief time while waiting.
Hotel was less than a kilometre from my home!
Being asked to complete questionnaires like this.
Me n my partner enjoyed our stay at the hotel for the 2 nites we were there.we will be arranging to stay again soon,it was just so lovely, room was lovely staff were pleasant n helpful thanks everyone
Price was good but only because it was a special deal
WiFi didn't work in the room's or when it did it was slow had to pay for parking in hotel car park hotel looked and felt poorly maintained room door stuck and jammed both mornings I was awakened to the couple next door arguing and banging doors at 6am the joys of staying in a hotel the the social us
Room was very clean Bed was comfortable Directly opposite the station and minutes from the University Staff allowed us to keep our car in the hotel carpark all day even though we had checked out, while we attended a University open day
Tv is quite old, but it worked Showers arent the best, but they were clean and worked The hotel itself is quite tired and worn, but you still get value for money The bar seemed popular with the locals and was a bit rowdy
Good for the price
wi-fi only available in the lounge
Value for money Good location Good parking facilities Clean
It is basic but offers good value for money
The downstairs was nice enough. From what little contact I had with the staff, they seemed polite and helpful.
Receptionist very friendly and helpful
Our room was warm and adequately furnished. The bed was comfortable, there was plenty of hot water and the shower was OK. It was right opposite the train station and close to a bus stop and taxi rank. Overall it was much better than we were expecting for what we paid.
There were no shops, pubs or restaurants nearby. The food in the hotel was reasonable for the money but I wouldn't recommend it. The TV was old, but it worked and we didn't go there to watch TV.
Reception need a lesson in customer care / politeness. Windows broken in the room, covered in plastic. ceiling near the door needed repairing / painting due to a leak from the romantic above. Not impressed
able to leave case prior to booking in and after booking out .evening staff very helpful
breakfast all dried up should have gone down earlier but staff should keep a check on food
Clean & good value
Wifi did not work in rooms
The room was really clean and spacious. Ideal location too. Definitely worth the money.
Everything was up to the standard expected so there wasn't anything that I didn't like. I would use the hotel again.
Location was good and the staff were friendly and showed good character, especially as it was over the busy festive period! It was very good value too.
The decor was pretty dated and patchy in our room, but the bed and bathroom were very clean, so we were'nt too fussy. We ate the buffet on the first night and found the starting courses and desserts better than the mains, again it was a cheap option when pre-booked on arrival, so were happy with the convenience. Overall, this is a nice hotel in need of some TLC round the edges. You get what you pay for and the staff make the stay!
