The smell smoke even thou we were on a none smoking floor, it was very bad and quite ruined our stay there .. Not sure if we would return
The staff at reception and in the bar were very pleasant and helpful.
The room was not cleaned to an acceptable standard. The mattress was stained and ripped. The towel rail heater was not wired up. There was only one bath towel and hand towel for a double occupancy room. The carpet in the hallway and the room were ripped and stained. The location of the hotel was good but the cleanliness and decor need addressing.
I like the hotel is not far away and is good in everything thank you
The bathroom but is fine
Slamming doors Dirty sink Room needed modernising and only enough toiletries for 1 person
The location was really good
Rooms could do with a paint to tidy them up!.
The pillows were yellow and stained, the mattress was really hard and there was no phone in the room
convenient parking access and close to town centre
property is very tired and dated inside and bedroom and corridors
booking had been done and paid for, the night reception Indian staff asked me to pay again and refused to check me in. After insisting, he produced a credit card authorisation that was already in place.
The reception staff were friendly. The shower was warm. Comfy beds!
My room wasn't cleaned. Bed sheets were dirty! The air con was broke. When I checked in my booking had been given away.
Rooms are dated requires updating would not pay full price but as I got it at £39 for a night wasn't to bad
The location of the hotel was very nice.
Excellent breakfast and dinner buffet.
Needed to work on my laptop until late. No WiFi available in the rooms thus instead of being relaxed laied down in my bed I had to work in the hotel reception hall and/or pub with all the surronding noise.
Nothing apart from the friendly lady at the desk
Holes in the carpet ,stained carpet where water had leaked from the bathroom, greasy headboard, mould round the bath, broken lock on the door, the drunken man in the lift.I could go on but I think you might get the point!!
Location was great
Quality of the bed and pillow was awful, hall way was very noisy. You could hear all the noise form the bar below us. I stayed for three days and every day had to get my key card renewed I was locked out of the bed room daily.
location to the city center
For the money charged for B&B, you could invest in new carpets and a lick of paint, this would make a difference to the smell of smoke that has accumulated over the years. Parking was a pain as my wife is disabled and can't walk far.
Only had a bath in room, think it was an accessible room as there were emergency cords in the room!
The supervisor were helpful and fast responding, Good location
Old decoration, Wornout and broken furniture, Essential facilities and electronics are missing,
Not a lot
Having to move room at half three in the morning because of the noise. Electrical wire open in a bathroom, a shower that wouldn't turn off. Unhelpful staff and refused a refund when I wanted to leave at half three in the morning because of my awful experience. Having not slept all night I left at 8 in the morning
Had trouble with other guests celebrating each other which kept us awake for hrs and the hotel staff did nothing about it.
It room was dirty and not maintained , the Capet was stained. The towels were stained. Drink splashed in the walls. Broken wall and floor tiles. Mould in the bathroom. Dirty windows. The hairdryer did not work. Awful place
Spacious room Fair price for what is offered
Bathroom small Bathroom dated
Located next to the castle, not far from the city centre. The price seemed amazingly cheap, though we found out it was just a fair deal.
The room looked too old, dirty and uncomfortable.
The bar staff in hotel lounge were excellent and friendly making a solo traveller feel welcome, the room was very comfortable, with good amenities and Spacious.
the lack of wifi in the rooms and only being available in the bar and lounge was a bit of a pain, some checking staff were not as friendly as other staff, and there was a lot waiting there. cleanliness could have been better
