Although the room itself was clean the windows were filthy and there were old bottles and cigarette ends on the sill directly outside the window. The hairdrier was faulty and worked intermittently. |

It was cheap and central. Was put into a double room when I'd booked a twin. Staff did change the room but said we may have to move for the second night. When we got into the room the sockets didn't work so we had to be moved. It was all a bit ridiculous but to be fair the staff did sort it out quickly. It's a big old shabby hotel which is way past its prime, but I think that was reflected in the price so i can't really complain! |

Our room had a good view over the city (it was on the fifth floor). The beds were comfortable and the en suite bathroom was supplied with clean towels, shampoo etc. There were sachets of coffee and tea, together with a kettle and also biscuits. We considered that the accommodation represented good value for money. The reception staff were not very friendly and not particularly helpful. |

Good location to centre and train station. We were attending a Uni open day, this was a good central hotel Had trouble with first room 901 - water far too hot. We were moved very swiftly by staff to room on first floor (exec suite). Both rooms were clean & comfortable. |

The price is very competitive and the breakfast was good. The bedrooms also were clean. The bathrooms could have been cleaner as there was black mould around the edges of the bath. |

The convenience of the location and the staff were friendly The room although clean was very tired looking with the cutains that have seen beter days. There also looked like cigarette burns on the bathroom floor. |

The location was excellent for the city centre. The price could not be beaten. There was an NCP car park across the road with special hotel rate but we used the forest Park and Ride and the tram, which cost us only £1 return each when added onto our theatre tickets. The carpet and tiling was a little tired in our room but I am not compaining as the price was great. |

Good city centre location, good price. Staff we're very rude and seemed quite unexperienced, took a long time to book in as the receptionist was very confused about a seperate room booked in a same surname also gave us the other guests personal details including full address. I would not like my personal details shared with other guests. |
