The hotel is obviously used alot for stag parties. We had a group of lads staying on the same floor as us who were very noisy and drunk banging on our doors and making us feel very unsafe so we had no sleep. The next morning staff showed us the rooms they had stayed in had been trashed!!! We appreciated that this was a low cost hotel and would be very basic but I think it should be mentioned in the details that this hotel is used by groups of young people.Being a group of ladies in our 40's If we had known we would not have booked it. To be fair to the staff though they were very friendly and were happy to refund us 20% on the room rates for our sleepless night. We didn't eat at the hotel so I can't comment on the food.

The accommodation was very basic and shabby, not at all like the pictures on their website....there were people making lots of noise in the corridor unti 4.30 am. Luckily we were only there for one night...avoid! It didn't feel special in any way.

Great location. I wanted to go out for a night on the town, the bars and clubs were all within walking distance. This hotel needs some serious remodeling! It looked like someone had gnawed on the furniture, everything seemed dull and lifeless. If the rooms cost 40 gbp each I wouldn't have a problem but I paid 110 gbp per night! If you are going out for a night of partying then you probably will be happy that you are not sleeping in an alley so it's fine.

Central location. The bed was comfortable and sheets were clean. Very poor internet access and no option to upgrade to a faster connection. No net curtains on windows - I was either in darkness or exposed to the outside world. On one day out of the three the biscuits were not replaced on the tea tray. No mention was made by literature or staff that parking at a particular location was at a preferential rate - unknowingly I parked somewhere else and paid very much more - it was only on checkout that I was told this. The bathroom was very obviously cleaned but it was grubby and old - there was gum stuck to the floor - the bathroom scales were old and dirty - it would be better not to have them to have them.

The friendliness of the reception staff and the cleanliness of the foyer. The bathroom, curtains and walls were dirty, and the covering of the chair was old, faded and ripped. The air-conditioning was too nois to sleep through and was controlled centrally so came on and went off at set times. Doors banging all night (they have no softening system) prevent a good night's sleep.

Proximity to the city center. The staff were rude and unhelpful and the decor was dated and all fixtures in the room were almost falling apart with age.

Noisy people on same floor so got no sleep. Shower broken, set to hot only so had to get out of shower with shampoo in hair and rinse in sink. Then had to wash from sink, this being after I burnt my arm in shower. Breakfast consisted of a good range of bad reheated bacon and sausages from the day before. Other items were fresh but the bad items tarnish your appetite. Decor of room very dated. Overall had a bad stay and as I stay in Nottingham quite a lot I would never use again. I sub contract to the hse and they have been informed of problems. Serious issues need to be addressed at this hotel.

Overall good value for money. I was disapointed with my cooked breakfast which wasn't very nice. Also the toaster only toasted on one side.

The reception on the night I stayed (28th Nov) was friendly and helpful; It was a female member of staff, who kindly got me an ironing board and iron when I requested it for my room. Many thanks! The room was spotless but I think the hotel in general would benefit from a refurbishment, which I am sure the owners/management are looking at at some stage

I booked this room for a work colleague online a month ago for your Nottingham hotel. The money left my account and was paid for yet when he turned up he still had to pay for his room I have been into the hotel twice now and rang up and NO ONE CAN HELP ME GET TO THE BOTTOM OF WHATS HAPPENED I have brought in bank statements, credit card receipts but heard nothing back from the hotel so far. I now have to go into the hotel for a THIRD visit just to try to speak to someone who can help me Appalling

The room was clean On arrival to the hotel the receptionist was busy, we were told by the duty manager that apparently no one else in the hotel could check us in so we had to wait 15minutes before we could be checked in. While stood at reception my friend made the comment that it was cold outside, someone who I presume was one of the hotels waiters who was stood at reception next to us then felt the need to mumble 'no its not' to the duty manager on reception. There is no dedicated parking for the hotel so we had to pay £10 for parking, we would have had to pay £16.50 if I hadnt noticed the little sign at reception that says to ask for a parking discount. At around 7am we were awoken by what we thought sounded like a jet engine, we presumed it was the heating, this ran constantly for about an hour. None of the staff sounded or acted like they enjoyed their job, the female receptionist, whos name we didnt get, was the only one who seemed to know what she was doing, she seemed to be very stressed every time we saw her. I would recommend the hotel for a cheap nights if you're a student, if you expect top class service I would look elsewhere.

Location/Convenience Security in room could have been better. Chain lock missing. Real coffee/tea & fresh fruit at breakfast would have been nice rather than small packs of coffee and tinned fruit.

the hotel was ok, but very budget and the room was very small and cramped. It did the job in terms of getting my head down for a couple of hours after a night out drinking. I wouldnt recommend it if you wanted to go on a romantic break. the room was too small and smelt

“The rooms were comfortable and very clean. The shower was great - really powerful. We had a lovely view as we were on the 11th floor. The staff were really friendly and allowed us to have our room until 3pm, at no extra cost, so that I could shower after running the 1/2 marathon. Breakfast was good.” Cynthia, St Albans |
