For a cheap hotel, this no frills option has an excellent location.
The hotel is aged, though this is irrelevant.
The location and the price
We couldn't go inside the be from until 14:00
Very enjoyable and cleam
Good location Great Views
Dirty Disrepair TV Not working properly WiFi not working Staff preoccupied
The hotel's location is excellent within a few minutes walk to the centre if nottingham but this does not make it too noisy and we had no problems with noise in the hotel either
The breakfast was a little on the frazzled side when we got there (9am) and they had ran out of lots of stuff like butter and the tea and coffee pots were cold as these were just on the side rather than them bring out fresh coffee and tea to a table
Noice at night from people talking in corridor and shutting of doors very load at 1 o`clock at night. Nothing in room to tell you breakfast time or where and if evening meals were available
Dirty hotel had to check out early
The location and friendliness of staff.
The room was a bit too hot and it would be nice to have a later check out time
The staff were all really friendly and helpful. It was handy having the car park leading into the hotel - really convenient.
When we went in the room my son said "the tv is older than you mum!". This summed up everything. All old, dated, worn out, chipped, nothing fitted properly. The corridors still smelled of stale smoke from the 1980s. We really got what we paid for - a bargain basement deal.
I had dirty underwear in my room and I asked for a non smoking room and I was given a smokers room
Good location and very reasonably priced.
Don't expect luxury, we had two rooms and neither were brilliant. Our room had a leaky ceiling in the bathroom, no air-con and the beds were really rather hard. My Uncle had a lovely sized room and the only problem appears to have been an interesting hole in the carpet...
I got a room in a messy state. Bed not made and no linen. Went to complain was offered another room and 'sorry' .
cheap and cheerful helpful staff
no wifi (only ethernet access and you have to provide your own cable) found curly hair in bathroom (and believe me, I was not looking for it)
Close to the city centre, cheap enough for a bed for the night, comfortable. Car park next door.
Having to pay to park.
Filthy hotel, bed linen dirty.
Lots of noise from pub near by
The room was very poor and not worth going back to
Everything! The hotel was run down, dirty, smelt, disgusting place!
Lift problems. Bad beer. Car park is dear. alarm sounding. Very noisy. ..
Friendly staff though.
Warm , no refrigerator, no airco, elevator over populated always as one was defect almost all the time. Dirty carpets in room.
Very clean beds, high pressured shower.
Two out of three times I attended reception I was made to wait for over five minutes whilst they attended paper work
Nothing very poor in every way
Dirty tea spoon in my room, broken glass on bathroom floor, broken lift, had to walk up to the 8th floor. Didn't bother with breakfast from my secondly morning, no staff to show me to my table.
Comfy bed and the room was spacious. Had everything we needed.
Hotel is a bit dated and the room looked a bit tired and tatty. Doesn't matter if you're only stopping for a night or two though.
One lift for the whole hotel - bar closed at 10.00pm- food was mediocre at best - I had to pay for my evening meal at the front desk before knowing what was on the menu - aircon did not work etc etc
That it had a bath and was very well located in near the centre of Nottingham.
The internet access in the rooms was a problem.
