The Bed was great
room excellent, location excellent , owners very polite and helpfull, breakfast very good, would deffinately stay again
very warm welcome just like a big hug for weary travellers. The little touches added to the great feeling of homeliness we experienced. From soft pillows and a comfortable bed to the warm fluffy towels and filtered water for our beverages
had to leave so early...
Clean friendly and welcoming hotel. a home away from home
It would have been nice to have a bar but you cannot have everything and it was only a short walk to town
Fantastic breakfast, large comfortable rooms
Liked everything. Good room, bed, shower, food. Friendly staff.
Can't think of anything.
Very friendly couple would definitely stay there again in the future.
A wonderful place to stay with excellent breakfast, congenial hosts, superb view and all round comfort. We'll be back!
everything was just perfect
Large room overlooking the sea (Mozart Suite) Great English Breakfast Quiet Fridge in room to chill wine!
Room with balcony overlooking the sea, tea and coffee making facilities, comfortable bed, quiet location
Shower looking a bit worse for wear
Great Hosts Colin and Anne-Fabulous room and breakfast! Ben Britten's Birthplace! One of the most enjoyable stays ever! 11 stars! Perfect! Martin and Susan.
The rain on Monday -lol.
Breakfast was excellent, lovely large room with a sea view, plenty of free car parking all in all a lovely stay
Everything: location with parking, spacious room with large bathroom, good big bed, efficient but discreet staff, fantastic full breakfast (the best ever!), no music!
Room was tastefully decorated Nice breakfast Right on the sea front
View out of bath room window onto flat roof covered in dog poo. Big cobweb on ceiling
Excellent hosts, excellent value, excellent breakfast
Very hot bedroom! To be fair, there was a fan.
The food was excellent and cooked to perfection. Bedrooms very comfortable and towels and bed linen spotless. The owners very pleasant. Will definitely return.
Every thing was perfect, the room was very comfortable and clean the breakfast was exerlant the owners were nice and friendly you could not fault the place.
Breakfast well cooked and presented good choice Bedroom upgrade a nice touch but 41 steps to it a toil at our age sea view nice
41 steps to our room especially if you forgot anything
Could perhaps have background music inbreakfast room
Totally satisfying experience from room to breakfast, Wi-fi to peaceful environment, service to warm welcome -brilliant all round!
Limited car parking, stairs to top floor, en-suite in eaves requiring contortion to use loo! Otherwise, liked everything else!
We loved the location; 1 minute walk and we were on the very clean and lovely beach. It was just the right distance from the town to give a gentle walk along the promenade. Breakfast was delicious, especially the full English. Room was quiet and was large enough to have arm chairs to sit by the window. All facilities great - tea/coffee, towels, hairdryer, toiletries etc.
Liked it all.
the bed was so big we got lost breakfast excellent there was nothing the staff would not do for you. Will going back very soon
Friendly, welcoming, lovely location, excellent breakfast, pleasing decor, pretty garden, and comfortable room. Historical vibes an inspiration if one likes classical music. Would certainly come again.
A mobile phone number might be a good idea - there was a misunderstanding about our arrival time, and we had to wait half an hour to be let in. The room was lovely, but there were some cobwebs on the light and more than a few crumbs on the carpet.
Lovely clean room and ensuite, well furnished and decorated with great sea view. Staff were all pleasant, friendly and helpful. At breakfast served in another well presented room, there was a great choice on offer. Full English breakfast was freshly cooked to order. House was tastefully furnished and well decorated in keeping with the age and character of Britten House. Would definitely recommend staying there and would return myself.
If I had to be very picky the only fault I could find, would be the lack of a full length mirror inside the room I was in. Although directly outside the room on the landing was a huge wall mounted mirror one inside the room would make the room perfect.
