Britten House  

Everything. This is a sensational guest house and I would recommend it to anyone. Would love to go back. Lovely people, great position, fabulous room, all good.

The welcome, the rooms, the location : all fantastic, this place is a real gem. We had a great stay and thoroughly enjoyed it all. Oh, and a lovely breakfast too!!!

The room was beautiful with fantastic views. The breakfast was cooked well and had lots of options available. And the hospitality was so welcoming and friendly, definitely stay here! We stayed at the Britten because we were travelling to Southwold which was close enough to commute to, however were disappointed in Lowestoft, it seems tired and old, however we did stay out of season.

We have stayed before,Britten house is top quality, clean with high spec, friendly and helpful staff.close to beach and town. The best.

Can't fault, excellent in every way

The rooms are massive. Clean,and tastfully furnished. Decent tea making and filtered drinking water. Good shower. Breakfast top notch. Friendly and warm.

Parking tight.busy season would be difficult.

I loved this hotel the first time I stayed and loved it the second. The room was spacious, clean and had the personal touches that made me feel welcome and relaxed. The bathroom was again clean and spacious. The breakfasts here is excellent. Therer is a wide variety of cereals, fruit and the option of 2 different cooked breakfasts. the best thing that this hotel can boast is the friendly welcome.

Lack of soap and shampoo in rooms

We stayed at Britten House on an icy January night. The hotel was well heated, and we could enjoy a hot shower. Everything was spotless and there are tasteful touches round every corner.

A lovely house with very comfortable and warm rooms (important as it was freezing out). Colin and Ann were excellent welcoming hosts - professional but friendly with a great sense of humour and excellent local knowledge. Lovely breakfasts that set us up for the day.

The Hotel is in an excellent location, lovely rooms. Warm and friendly staff. The Breakfast was great with an amazing selection.

One small moan, I thought all rooms had a sea view, our room was at the back.

i loved the decore and design of britten house, also ann and colin were very friendly hosts. my room was very comfortable and had a good nights sleep.

I could not believe that this hotel was so cheap. The rooms are finished to an amazing standard, with a very comfortable bed and plenty of lovely soft pillows. The ensuites were beautiful too. The dining area and living room were also lovely and it was great to be able to sit by the window at breakfast and look directly out to sea. Even the building itself and the grounds are amazingly well kept. The owners are super friendly and obviously have a real passion for what they do, making you feel welcome and comfortable. I cannot find any fault with this hotel at all and have no problem taking the bold step of saying that this is definitely the best hotel I can remember staying in.

Britten House has a feel of relaxation about it. The owners, Colin and Ann are very approachable and extremely helpful in matters of local attractions etc. The room I was in was spacious and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was the same with hot water available any time night or day. Both rooms were very clean and tidy. Breakfast was excellent and healthy with more than enough choice for the discerning traveller, hot or cold. The location was great for my purpose, just yards from the sea front and promenade, and parking was not an issue. All in all I had a very nice relaxing stay at Britten House and would recommend it to anyone.

Excellent service from Ann and Colin. Comfortable and great location

You definitely won't be disappointed here. We had a fantastic stay. Britten House is friendly and welcoming, and it is really nice to find somewhere where the owners are prepared to consider their guests first and foremost, rather than ratcheting everything down to save money. Even the individual packets of breakfast cereal were a larger size than the standard hotel fare! The room was very comfortable, spacious and clean. Highly recommended, with a location right on the seafront overlooking the fantastic sandy beach, and free street parking outside, or you can use Britten House's car park. Great location too for touring East Anglia, and if you want to eat out, try the 303 Eaterie just round the corner. We definitely hope to be back soon.
