Our heating did not work on our first night and the window in the bedroom did not close properly, so although the place was fantastic, our first night was very, very cold. When we spoke to reception about this the next day, they didn't seem to know what to do about the heating and didn't seem too fazed about it. Luckily my boyfriend is very handy and was able to get the heating going and fix the window, however that shouldn't have been his job when we'd paid to stay. |

Dear Sir/Madam BROAD QUAY APARTMENTS, BRISTOL 7 OCTOBER 2009 I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received from you and the quality of the studio in which I stayed on Wednesday night. Putting aside the fact that you lost my booking and inconvenienced my wife by requiring her to guarantee payment using her own credit card, it transpired that upon my arrival there was no key waiting for me and no room allocated. The reason, I found, was that I had instead been booked in for the Thursday night in error. I found myself dealing with a less than helpful concierge who seemed to be more interested in laminating posters than finding me a room. It emerged that the room I was eventually given should have been blocked-out because it was unfit in some way. What I did find on getting to the room, however, was that the kitchen area was covered with sticky stains – and there was some form of drink splashed down the wall. The bath had other occupants’ hairs in it too. In my view these faults could not be thought of as anything other than unmissable. A fault of the design of the apartments, I found, is that there is no adequate soundproofing through the window. I clearly heard people and general activity in the street below into the early hours. I also had to keep my curtains closed for much of the time because of the offices across the street and workers looking directly into the room. You might say there is nothing much that can be done about that, and whilst this is true I would argue that I could find (and indeed on other occasions have found) other accommodation in the city at the same price that does not have these problems. I believe the accommodation offered is overpriced. I am of the view that some form of refund is reasonable in the circumstances. Consequently I should be pleased to hear what your response might be to these justifiable complaints. Yours faithfully Alan Hunter |

Excellent location by quays, quiet, and very clean and modern. It would not break their budget to provide tissue paper, salt, and pepper. But that's hardly worth commenting upon. The place was extremely comfortable and fresh. |

Location was good for evening entertainment, ideal for breakfast bars in the morning, apartments modern and generally very good quality will stay again Need to add cost of parking (2009 price in NCP approx £14 for over 12hrs) plus 5 minute walk. A couple of minor maintenance issues that needed to be picked up but certainly did not detract from my stay |

I was comfortable and the rooms were in very good condition and were clean. It served it pupose as a temporary place to stay to redt before moving on. It felt devoid of any services and that the difficulty to get into and out of the place proved to be more difficult than was justified. Could not open blinds in day or night as it looked straight out into offices occupied at very close proximity. This detracted from the comfort of the room and my ability to relax. |

The central location, the apartment was very well laid out and very confortable. The directions provided by the link when booking were not very good. Not knowing the area at all made it quite difficult to find. We were travelling a long distance to get to the accommodation and did not receivce the codes for entering the building before we left, there was a mobile number taped to the door though to enable us to call up for a code. |

We chose the Broad Key Serviced Apartments because we were looking for an inexpensive option while visiting Bristol with my parents and children. There were 6 of us in total and we were very comfortable in a 2 bedroom flat. Everything was new and in good condition. The location was excellent for sight-seeing and getting around Bristol on foot. Staff on the desk during the day were generally very helpful. Parking was an issue. Some sort of voucher at a local car park would be very helpful. One night in the apartment plus 13 pounds for the car park down the street was still cheaper than 2 bedrooms and a discount hotel (Premier Inn) but it would be nice to see Broad Quay SA take that into consideration. They did tell us that parking would be provided when the Radisson next door is finished. Also, little touches like a luggage cart for unloading baggage and taking it up to the flat would have been very helpful Visitors should be aware that the flats on the quay side of the building overlook bus stops and there is a fair amount of noise. Also the city centre can be quite noisy in general on a Friday or Saturday night. |

Excellent clean apartment On arrival Receptionist let me into the building but had to wait 15 mins as she was on her phone to someone. Her priority should have been to her waiting guests (myself plus 3 others). |

Our reservation was mixed up due to a clerical error but the staff managed to place us and also provided a part refund without complaint. Otherwise we thought location and quality were good. |

We liked that ther was easy access to shopping and amenities. That we had a seperate bedroom from the sitting and kitchen area. It was just the right amount of room. We had our 3 year old daughter on the sofa, and we brought our own travel cot for our baby. Very nice views of the quay as well. There wasn't any parking close by, unless you were lucky enough to snag a spot out back. Our room had dirty dishes in the dishwasher. The dishwasher did not work. And when I went to use the microwave there was a poached egg that was sitting in a bowl of water. Who knows how long that was in there! You can't even imagine the smell that left! We also ran out of toilet tissue. It would have been nice that some of the necessities like that were left in the closet. Also, I didn't notice any washcloths in the bathroom. So good thing that I had packed our own. |

Excellent location in the heart of Bristol, spacious accommodation at a reasonable price, well equipped and very clean. Could not regulate room temperature at night. When leaving windows open, had to deal with noise all through the night. As there was no staff on duty at the weekend, we had nowhere to leave luggage for late flight. |
