Friendly staff. Bar attached to hotel, bar food. Lovely room.
Water in shower too hot, could not adjust.
Good wi-fi Hotel situated in a good location
Foul odours originating from the drains in the bathroom. Restaurant closed so evening bar meals provided next door. Breakfast porridge was inedible
Friendly Staff. Good Location Bar next door Excellent breakfast.
The facility could do with some updating. The shower stall in our room needed recaulking
Pleasant, clean room.
Bar staff surly.
The location of the hotel was great and very handy. The room was clean, a good size and the bed was comfortable - the linen was lovely and soft.
I think due to the season the only place to eat was the bar and you had to go outside of the hotel and around to enter the bar. When I checked in the receptionist told me that dinner would be served until 9pm and that there was a menu in the room. I let her know I would be down for dinner around 8.30pm. When I arrived at the bar, there was another member of staff and when I asked if I could order she told me that they MIGHT be able to rustle something up for me as they had been 'quiet' and been getting finished up early. I think if you let guests know you serve food till 9pm you should do that, especially when they let you know what time they will be down for dinner! Also, the menu in the room was different from the menu in the bar. The food was very nice though and I did enjoy it.
Everything..... Especially the hot chocolate in the room, good touch
Restaurant was closed because end of season and the bar was a bit run down and just pub food, saying that the food was good. We also had a meal at the Claymore restaurant 2 mins down the road, highly recommend.
The location of the Broadford is excellent. The rooms are modestly appointed and have decent creature comforts. The staff was terrific.
But the hotel seems to be suffering from neglect. The mattressess and pillows desperately need replacing; the lamp on my bedside table had threads hanging from the shade, and that shade rattled around because it was not secured properly. The dining room was closed for the season, which meant any meals had to be taken in the bar. This hotel has so much potential; it just needs some Tender Loving Care.
The bedroom was very roomy with comfy bed and the small sitting room was ideal. Bathroom was roomy with bath and separate shower. It all looked fresh and new. Food was excellent
The room above our room (34) had very very noisy, squeaky floorboards and was quite annoying in an otherwise quiet hotel! The reception area was very dull and shabby, gives a wrong impression of the upstairs area.
Free wi-fi, 10 minutes from bridge, large comfortable room and ample parking
Skye bridge closed for 6 hours although not the hotel's fault.
Staff were excellent, breakfast excellent a bit disappointed that the main restaurant was closed
Shower could do with clean/re-sealed all black round the bottom
staff were very helpful even though there were only three that we saw
the décor could do with updateing also the carpets
I liked the location as it gave easy access to the mainland as well as a base to cover the rest of the island. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, we had a space for sitting to watch TV or to read and it was warm. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. We ate in the bar (attached to the hotel) on most evenings because the dining room was closed for the season and we found the food to be good.
There wasn't anything that I really disliked, although my husband found the stairs a bit difficult because of the narrowness but that is structural and a fixture! It would have been nice to eat in the dining room in the evening - we didn't know it was closed - but we took the opportunity to eat out at another restaurant (which was also very good).
Staff could not do enough for us. Food was very good and the rooms were very spacious.
There wasn't anything we didn't like about it
Staff was very accomodating, pleasant and helpful. Breakfasts were terrific. Hotel is in great location as a base of operations to see Skye.
Getting our heavy luggage up and down two flights of stairs but that is typical of Scotland. No elevators.
Views, meals, level of comfort in the room, helpful and friendly staff, breakfast menu was very good,
Terrible wifi, noise from upstairs rooms and pub below, poor bathroom plumbing in both rooms.
Very quiet very cheep staff where so helpfull loved the connection with bonny prince charlie oops the food was exelent thankyou.
The staff, cleanliness, room decor and size and facilities make this a great place to stay. I had a few minor issues with my room but these were resolved and did not detract from my stay. I particularly liked the idea of a shoe tray in the room, which made me realise how much pride the owners take in their hotel. All in all a very well managed and staffed hotel.
Room 32 has a large halogen light outside the room window, which turns on automatically at night and lights up the exterior of the hotel. Unfortunately the curtain does not stop the light from flooding in around its edges and the room is in a constant state of semi darkness. This was not an issue for me as I could easily sleep on a clothes line if necessary but it may cause problems for lighter (sic) sleepers.
Staff were welcoming and helpful and worked very hard. Breakfast was of a good standard. The hotel in general was very well presented. The room and bathroom we were given were very large and well decorated.
The bed itself was small and very hard. Very difficult to have a good night's sleep.
Restaurant staff very accommodating Food good value and quality Good location
Reception staff very average Walls paper thin we may of been staying with the people next door View from room terrible
All excellent, including location, restaurant, bar, room and wi fi connection. Recommended.
Lovely outlook, staff eager to answer queries and were exceedingly helpful.
Could hear the people's footsteps in the room above during the night.
we were at the back/side of the Hotel very quiet didn't have much of a view but we were ok with that. Room was Huuuge . I was tickled with the little tray just in side the door I guess for hill walkers or anybody to put there dirty boots/shoes on
the mattress needs replacing it was roll together -- big sag in the middle. In fairness I did mention it at reception on checkout and was told that it would be checked out.
Good location if you want to eat where you stay. Bar & restaurant staff were very friendly & helpful.
Hot water was cold. Staff we're not available at 6.30am to turn on the hot water. Breakfast was late for early starters.
The staff could not be more helpful or pleasant.
