Excellent,
Score from 30 reviews
“ We were delighted with the setting and after staying in two other locations prior to this one, we found the comfort, space and quality of interior furnishings outstanding. We had the most comfortable nights of the whole trip. It was so delightful to open the french doors onto a gorgeous view and just sit outside the room for a while. The breakfast was very good and the staff were welcoming, attentive and very friendly. ”

This sensitively restored Victorian hotel is set in 7 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens, with stunning views overlooking Carmarthen Bay and beyond to North Devon. This charming country retreat is situated on the outskirts of the historic town of Laugharne, famous for its castle and more recently, for Welsh poet Dylan Thomas, who did much of his writing in the boathouse there. Broadway Country House is situated between Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire. All the wonders of West Wales are nearby, including Pembrokeshire National Park, local theme parks, picturesque beaches, rugged countryside and Pendine Sands, famous as the home of many attempts for the world land-speed record. Originally built 300 years ago, the hotel was extended in 1914, with a new West wing and the Orangery added. Today, the hotel offers 6 recently refurbished rooms with private bathrooms, the majority with sea views. Wireless internet access is available throughout. Country house: 8 rooms The most recent booking for this hotel was made on May 17 at 17:21 from Ireland.

The rooms were well appointed. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's in a beautiful location, with views across the local countryside to the sea. The evening meals and breakfasts were excellent. Slightly off the beaten track for a business stay, but it only takes about twenty minutes to get on to the main roads East or West.

Being a family run hotel, most of the staff were family and therefore very helpful. The atmosphere of the hotel was very relaxing, an ideal place to enjoy some well earned peace and quite. Taking a break away from my business but still needing to stay in touch. The hotel description offered free Wi-Fi throughout this was not the case. Which meant using a public area to connect and hampered my requirements. It did not mean the end of the world but I wish facility descriptions were true to their word. Once you have arrived a and checked in, it is then to late to change things which sour the experience.

We made a very last minute booking, setting off for the hotel the second we pressed the 'payment confirmed' button! We stayed for the wedding of some good friends who were getting married at the hotel the next day and there was a group of our friends already there. The hotel was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was cosy and clean. It has a lovely, cosy atmosphere and was really family friendly. The setting and grounds were very pretty and the wedding was amazing! The food was lovely both for our B&B in the morning and also the wedding itself. A lovely weekend was had by all. I know its out of the hotel's control but mobile phone signal is very patchy and although there is free WiFi available, we couldn't actually pick it up in our room. Not sure why. Other than that we had no complaints about the hotel itself.

Lovely location, spacious comfortable room with a good view. Friendly and helpful staff. For the price we were paying we would have expected some extras that are fairly standard even in cheaper places E.G. biscuits or chocolates in room, herb teas in addition to the standard tea and coffee. There were no tissues in the bedroom or bathroom. The cooked breakfasts we chose were delicious but we expected more choice E.G. fresh fruit, yoghurt.

Friendly staff; lovely large room and wonderful views. Very comfy bed so slept like logs; great breakfast. Heated towelrail out of order so bathroom freezing as no other heating source. Also, shower rather weedy. Suggestion: sofa would be nice in main room.

Lovely - relaxed and informal and made to feel very welcome. Very helpful and accommodating; I didn't want much to eat and the chef was more than happy to make me a simple salad, no problem. Beautiful room and views. A very comfortable night. I would recommend and will definitely return.
