BroadwayThe Green, WR12 7AA Broadway (Show map) Excellent, Score from 70 reviews“Relaxing , peaceful location, we found everyone very friendly and helpful. We also found travelling from Sutton Coldfield where we live the journey was minimal. We were celebrating our Silver Wedding Anniversary and couldn't have chosen anywhere nicer to stay. Many Thanks.”

Broadway Hotel is in the Cotswold's village of Broadway, overlooking the village green in one of the Cotswold's most picturesque spots. Broadway is considered by many as the heart of the Cotswolds. It still has a feeling of tranquility enjoyed by today's visitors. The excellent Courtyard Restaurant, complete with ebony minstrels gallery, serves the freshest local produce from the Vale of Evesham. The hotel is ideally located close to Cheltenham and Stratford. Originally built as a rural retreat for the Abbots of Pershore. Overlooking the village green next to ancient domed yew trees is the half timber, framed and honey stoned Broadway Hotel. The 20 bedrooms have been recently refurbished to combine the country house style with all the modern amenities. This property was built in 1575 renovated in 1998. Hotel Rooms: 20, Hotel Chain: Cotswold Inns & Hotels Ltd.

This two-night stay followed an equally enjoyable night at The Lamb in Burford-a sister hotel within the Cotswold Inns and Hotels group. The friendly staff, comfortable room and relaxed ambience all contributed to a most enjoyable stay in the beautiful town of Broadway.

Broadway was a pleasant surprise, lovely welcoming hotel with gorgeous rooms, I stayed in 30 overlooking the green, small but clean modern yet retaining the original character. The sloping floor and low doors were cute but dangerous for someone 2m tall. Staff very friendly and food excellent. Nothing apart from parking at back

The location of this hotel is lovely, right on the high street, has its own car parking Old world charm = shabby and tired. Even though the bar was full on the saturday night we stayed there was no atmosphere. We had Master Oats junior suite which was ok but lacked the luxury feel you usually get. Disappointingly expensive and cold.

I purchased a double room for single occupancy which was only £1 less than the second double room booked for family - which I considered poor value and would have expected a percentage reduction for 1 person

Lovely old hotel with lots of character and charm. I'd love to stay here in winter as it has the most glorious open fire and lounge area. As part of a small group of privately owned hotels it is able to retain its individuality and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Although our room wasn't large, it was very comfortable and well equipped and I wouldn't hesitate to come back here again. Based on our experience at this hotel I'd be interested to stay at other hotels in the group. I've had better English breakfasts - the ingredients were good, but I think the portions were small and it represented poor value for money at £13 a head. I would rather the hotel offered larger portions of the basics - eggs, bacon, sausage and tomato, rather than small portions of lots of different things. Unnecessary and overly complicated. On the plus side, there were lots of other breakfast choices available, and it may be that these were better.

The location, right on the High Street, therefore handy for the shops. Parking was no problem with their own barriered carpark The staff were friendly and willing to help. The restaurant food was very good but a bit pricy. The hotel was, for us anyway at the expensive end especially for what you actually got. I think they are trying to be something they're are not ie a topend hotel whereas they are a good pub hotel. Probably playing on the location. The building could be a bit cleaner, especially the older parts. The restaurant was empty, we were the only ones in. Not good for a Friday night or atmosphere.

Good hotel in centre of Broadway, secure car park at rear. Breakfast was good. Advised hotel of early arrival and room was ready also arranged a taxi for us at short notice. Room and bathroom very clean. Extractor noise in room all night, coming from kitchen I think, did not sleep well advised reception when checking out. Room was on the small side but we were only there for one night, also creaking floor boards around the bed.

the standard of the rooms and facilities was excellent, our room was very well furnished and clean and very very pleasing to come back to after a day out we have stayed in various parts of the cotswolds many times but would say that this is by far the best. The ladies at reception were friendly, polite and anxious that everything was ok with our stay. It was a lovely stay regarding the main restaurant, we were there for three meals and would say the standard of food was excellent but we didnt think the chefs little specials were necessary as it was too much, also in the three nights we felt the menu could have been changed as we are vegetarian it does restrict us and in fact after the first night we did have meals from the bar which were lovely the only thing was we had to wait nearly half an hour for our dessert and had to remind someone we were still waiting. The breakfasts were lovely and did give us vegetarian options.

Broadway is a great place we have stayed there many times. This Hotel however being one of the best in the past, is now dirty, tired and a complete let down, 2 star rating at best, very badly managed and not representative of the chain, I would not stay again. It is clearly trading on past glories, no doubt their will be people who still recommend it, however some people are very easily pleased and I have certain standards that I expect from this Hotel chain that fell badly short on delivery.
