Clean, friendly, parking ,ensuite ticked all the boxes for me will use again
I liked the friendliness and helpfulness of the lady who signed us in, and I liked the character of the old building. It was clean, and the linen was changed every day.
The included breakfast was 'continental' which was not explained when booking. A normal breakfast was £9.50 extra, or there were cooked eggs, boiled or scrambled at £2.50 per egg!! We were in room 10, and the water flow for the shower was very weak. The water dribbled out, and it took about 5 minutes to get to a warm enough temperature. Due to the water flow, the toilet tank also took ages to fill. If my wife used the toilet, and I wanted to use it within the next twenty minutes I could not flush. We started filling the waste bin with water as a standby water tank.
Cosy room with a comfortable bed.
Location OK for Ascot Races, although very long walk in high heels!
Toilet not clean on arrival. Hairs found in bed. Kettle missing.
convenience to reason for visit parking facility everything in the price
smallish room and bathroom
Spacious public areas and very friendly helpful staff.
Could not control the radiator in the bedroom, the thermostat did not work and over basin light not working.
Location in relation to Ascot Race Course
Rude Owners. Out dated, dirty and untidy rooms. No facilities. Extremely over priced by at least 300 %.
Staff helpful and welcoming Location convenient Surrounded by trees Had a bar Shower very powerful, nearly blasted my eyebrows off until I turned it down.
The hotel felt a bit unloved, it could do with a lick of paint. There was spare bedding stored in my wardrobe which affected the ability to hang my clothes up. My bed had a leg missing, which was interesting when I sat on it. They offered to move rooms but I chose to stay and shove the leg back. I'm tough like that!
Venue for the racibg at Ascot within walking distance Friendly hosts snd very accommodating
Basic and hotel needs updating Full English should be offered as an option to continental free of charge
Good value for location, convenient, decent facilities
Really needs a a re-decorate and some new fittings.
Whole place needs updating.Room too small, bed too small.Shower had no pressure.Hairs in bath/wall
Very dated interior
Hotel was clean staff friendly food nice . Good range for breakfast and helpful staff. Would stay again
- busy noisy street - room not really clean
I had a lovely quiet room which had a soft comfortable bed and lovely fluffy towels (what more could a girl want) There were tea making facilities in the room Breakfast was self service with piles of freshly made toast. You could have additional items other than a continental breakfast for an additional cost
Nothing really. The hotel looked a bit old on the outside but you don't stay on the outside
beautiful building in lovely grounds, my room was huge, had an iron and an ironing board and a whirlpool bath
Poor condition Crack in bedroom ceiling outdated décor creaky floors No restaurant so had to go out for food Only continental breakfast included which was very, very limited and poor
clean, crisp, comfortable bed lovely fresh towel old house atmosphere easy parking good location for where we needed to be
limescale on and around bathroom taps instant coffee at breakfast no fresh fruit at breakfast
Location Reasonable price
Not a very good breakfast selection Staff a little unfriendly
Very dated and tired .
staff were very good friend and helpful room was clean and there was even a fan inside. internet worked in the room well.
bed was hard and plows were lumpy and hard, so did not get a very good sleep which i needed.
Not a lot
The first room was in the loft on a hot day and the heating was on! At least 80 degrees. I was moved. The promised WIFI did not work. I would have gladly paid the extra 2 pounds for another hotel over the road that had WIFI but they took the money before telling me the service didn't actually work!
Dated decor, shower didn't work properly, needs renovation
On site parking, wi-fi, continental breakfast was nicely presented in a large airy dining room and suited us, spa bath, spotlessly clean towels every day, friendly staff. We had room 1 which was a good size. Easy to get to.
Hotel a bit dated and in need of a bit of TLC. Curtains etc were a bit ornate for my taste but fitted in with the era of the property. A bit off-putting to find the wardrobe contained random items of spare bedding etc.
