Burton Lodge Guest House & Spa, hotel in Hornsea

Providing garden views, Burton Lodge Guest House & Spa in Brandesburton provides accommodation, pool with a view, an indoor pool, a garden, a terrace and a bar.

Enjoyable stay at Burton Lodge which is on the edge of the village next to a golf course. The staff were very friendly and had good knowledge of the local area. There is a comfortable lounge with an honesty bar. The room was spotless, well equiped and with a comfortable bed. I will return later in year when next in the area.

Hornsea is a great place for families provided it's not raining. Big beaches, some nice parks with play areas for little ones, modern sports centre with lovely swimming pool, some nice places to eat. Excellent curries and service at Somali Spice - not to be missed if curries are your thing. Attractions nearby if you've got a car. An old fashioned friendly place but with a couple of supermarkets too (useful if you're self catering). Interesting shops for a browse on the main street. Hornsea Museum is worth a punt with friendly helpful staff.

Hornsea is a great place to visit.

Hornsea is a great place to visit. We went to the floral hall for dinner, was lovely and reasonable. There's lots of shops, bars, cafes. We also went to the hub for a coffee it's nice for a walk along the sea front.. A lovely beach to drive to is fraisethorpe beach.. We visited the mere in hornsea and saw geese, swans etc, you can also have a coffee, ice cream there, or hire a rowing boat or walk around the mere. . We had a Chinese takeaway, and another night we ate at the Victoria pub, the food was lovely and reasonable.. You can visit skirlington market and car boot.. Or drive into beverley.. Tesco is close by.. Theres plenty of shops, cafes, fish and chips, and other takeaways.. A lovely place to go to.

We stopped 1 night on the way up to Whitby to meet family.

We stopped 1 night on the way up to Whitby to meet family. Hornsea isn't a fun seaside location like Bridlington or Scarborough further up the coast. Certainly wouldn't be a destination stop, but we found the Victoria pub and had a good dinner there.

Hornsea was very clean and the locals were friendly

Hornsea was very clean and the locals were friendly Parks and grassed areas were very well kept, bins weren’t overflowing- Parish council ought to be congratulated for their management of the town and its maintenance. Found a couple of pubs where we frequently went and our dogs were welcomed in all of them

The town itself was just a nice quiet local town. Walk about and you'll find most of what you maybe looking for. Car park with three hours free parking if you look for it, just off the main street. A very nice old museum. I had know problems with town, enjoyable.
