    Nice rooms

This is not a hotel and the information on Booking.com is misleading. There are no staff on site, bar or other facilities. This a holiday let with shared kitchen facilities. There was an awful smell in the kitchen and the dining facilities were dirty and sticky all over. There was no breakfast except for a packet of special K and some milk in the fridge. If this place were clean then it might be great for large family parties but definitely not one to share with strangers.

    1) large TV with Sky TV in the living room 2) free pool table, darts, music box, chess (and large outdoor chess as well) 3) Very clean 4) excellent wifi connectivity anywhere in the building 5) DVD player in the room - didn't use it, but good to know its available. 6) Golf course 7) Spacious kitchen 8) Washing machine and dryer (although dryer was out of order when we were there)

    1) No option to have breakfast. There is an Inn just 4min walk away, but you have to walk on the road as there is no sidewalk. 2) It feels rather unsecure. The front door is often not locked by other people staying at this location. The individual door locks are substandard. Wouldn't leave a laptop here if I was you... 3) TV's in the rooms are very small, about 2 hand-lengths wide. 4) Quite expensive for what it offers if you travel alone and are not interested in golf. We used it purely as a place to sleep, so not the ideal place for us.

There is nothing to like about this establishment.

Firstly, this should never be classified as an Hotel - at best it is self service room in a large house. The email sent outlining the procedure for checking in and controlling the heating/hot water was the most complicated and confusing set of instructions I've ever received. The Manager assured me that everything would be fine and he would personally 'go over' to the property and turn on the heating etc. We spent the night in a freezing house, no one on site and had to contact the Manager through a Pub located in Leominster. Avoid this establishment at all costs.

We loved this place! We were booked to stay for 4 nights but ended up staying for 8. We had sole use of this large country house for our entire stay. The housekeeper was there when we arrived and came once during the stay. Enormous conservatory. Fab games room with darts, pool and table football! Would be an amazing place to stay with a big party. Note this is a self-catering place and it is basically the owner's holiday home which he lets out. He was very friendly on the phone when I called to extend our stay. This is incredibly good value.

Wasn't a problem for us but this isn't a hotel. There is no reception. It could be an amazing B&B but it was perfect for us, liking a home from home and our independence. One thing, there needs to be a contact email for the management as our mobiles were out of range, and a better description of the set-up on booking.com. The bar and terrace is in fact at the golf club next door. More information needed.
