Fantastic country house with large conservatory and two sitting rooms. Found myself to be the sole occupant of this grand house. Expected provided breakfast but was self-catering. Restaurant/cafe at adjoining golf course but does not open before 10.00am. No staff is present at Hall..

I was the sole guest in Brockington Hall for the evening I stayed so the experience was a bit strange and may have been very different with other guests or a full house. The Hall is self catering but there are plenty of restaurants close by. The decor of the house is very tasteful and the setting relaxing and pleasant. Lack of other people (on my visit) and no hotel staff. However the price was therefore very reasonable

Empty building..no room allocated. Two men arrived no knowledge of how to unlock. No idea where keys were. More phonecalls they established my room..no bed made up. At this point I told them this was unacceptable treatment. At 9:30pm had to make alternative arrangements...another 40mile drive. I await my refund.

Nice big luxury house, no staff, just find key and go in choose a room and stay. Take your own tea/coffee & food stuffs for breakfast etc, as no one is there at all. Leave keys and lock up when you go. Very unusual but once you know the system it's fine. Local country pub 50 yards away. Nice Village of Bodenham. No instructions, took 2 phone calls to get the information on how to get in!

The whole ambience was 'Country Club' with plenty of downstairs community rooms and a feeling of spaciousness and luxury yet traditional decor. My bedroom on the ground floor was newly decorated and comfortably appointed, and the disabled wetroom assigned to it was only a short walk away. I liked having a kitchen and utility room, and the conservatory was a great asset for eating breakfast and just 'chilling out'. I felt that at least one resident member of staff would have been preferable, but the manager did her best to rectify the situation by sending someone to welcome us. I was very surprised to find no staff there when we arrived at the allotted time, no rooms had been allocated, keys were available but were for rooms which were already occupied, and the disabled bathroom was being used as a general cloakroom and shower room by all the rooms' occupants. My travelling companion's room (which had unexpected bunk beds when we had booked a twin room) had a shower which did not work. The promised breakfast which we were told we could buy was non existent, and we felt we could easily have brought opur own breakfast provisions if only we had been told about this beforehand. No coffee or milk could be found, and the breakfast cereal was owned by a family holidaying there. The ironing board was broken, and one of the fridge doors wouldn't stay shut. Now I know about these little drawbacks I would like to come again. I feel not enough information was given to ensure a fabulous stay.
