The location is 10-15 minutes walk away to the town centre. Overall the b&b was very clean. They also provide a variety of breakfast options which you can choose upon arrival, so the next morning it's ready.
The fleet of stairs and finding a parking spot near the b&b, however they do provide you with a permit so you can park for free =)
Excellent to have a parking option
Location, particularly good for Christmas markets
Staff don't answer the Bell after 6pm. We got there at 6, immediately had a query but no one came to help! !
The location was very accessible for the town. The staff member we saw was polite and friendly.
Having to order the breakfast the day before. I understand why some do breakfast this way but it's not my ideal way. The shower was poor.
Between the Circus and Crescent, in one of the most beautiful cities a period guest house with attentive staff, clean rooms and comfortable beds.
We couldn't stay longer!
- Homely feel of the place - Spacious room - Comfortable bed - Individually prepared breakfast - Located very close to the Fashion Museum and Jane Austen Centre
Nothing much really :) Locaction is a uphill walk from the Abby and Roman Baths
The bed was rock hard. Asked to change room but was full. The Bathroom was dirty. The Breakfast wasn't cooked properly and the choice was very poor. Don't be deceived by a cheap guest house in bath it's worth finding somewhere else!
Excellent location Excellent beds and facilties Helpful staff, if a little unused to running an hotel.
Only one choice of fruit juice in the morning, quickly corrected Not very good welcome on arrival, didnt show us to our room, and had to ask which room we were in. Had to ask for marmalade in the morning.
Eager staff and agreeable surroundings. a pleasant room on a quiet street ensured a good night's sleep.
Being told we had to pay up front for the room within two minutes of arriving. Sympathetic insofar as some guests had done a "runner" but an awkward start which implied we may be tempted to do the same! Breakfast was not a highlight. My fried egg was burnt on the white and cold/raw yolk. The sausage had been warmed from previous cooking. My wife's scrambled egg mountain was generously topped with a formidable chunk of smoked salmon; she didn't require further nourishment for the next eight hours! The staff's earnest wish to please assuaged any disappointment.
Very welcoming and we're happy for us to drop our bags off early. The location was great as the guest house was only a few minutes walk from the centre of Bath. Unfortunately we only stayed for one night but we will definitely consider staying here again when we're next in Bath.
Parking can be an issue but that's true wherever you stay in the centre of Bath.
Location and room Nicely cooked breakfast
Being asked to pay before seeing the room limited time slot for breakfast
Good standard of presentation in the rooms considering this is a B&B. Very kind and helpful welcome, esp. because we were frazzled from travelling and trying to park! Great breakfast and calm atmosphere in the house. Would definitely go back here again when visiting Bath again.
Bath is a nightmare for parking! Although in fairness the B&B have it all sussed with permits at the ready. You are reliant on finding a space in the permit zone though which can be tough in half term.
Great location. Permit parking allows parking anywhere in the area although it can be a challenge to find a space. Staff - lovely. Nice breakfast
Being an old building, the stairs can be a challenge with heavy bags.
Good location and nice full breakfast. This property is just located near Circus and Royal Crescent within 2 mins walking distance. It's also convenient for going to centre which also in 10 mins distance. Room is tidy, clean and comfort. Bathroom is also well equipped. Wifi works well. Owner provides a parking permit which you can park your car in certain areas which is good.^^_
We were accomodated to the rooms at top floor so we had to go up by stairs with my heavy luggage. This is not good if you have elder persons accompanied with you.
Friendly people at the hotel good good very polite
Nothing it was all good
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff
Location was excellent within walking distance to town. Staff really helpful & friendly.
There wasn't anything to dislike, room was compact but was perfect for what we needed.
Position great. Nice Polish couple looking after us,charming. Breakfast o.k. Needs better fruit
Rooms are dated Breakfast bacon was cold
The location. This could hardly be better being situated between The Circus and The Crescent with the rest of the city within walking distance, if you can cope with hills. Also a short taxi ride from the Railway station. It was also on the tourist 'hop on - hop off' bus which runs between 1000 and 1830 (probably only in summer). There are also many restaurants close by. Accommodation: Our room, named after Ralph Allen, was good, well fitted out, comfy bed and we asked for and got cotton sheets instead of a duvet. An excellent shower and lovely towels. It also overlooked the rear of the property which meant that it was quiet even with the windows open.
Despite the excellent facilities for this type of accommodation, because the actual owners were away on holiday, the 'caretaker' staff were often invisible. The only meal served, breakfast, was satisfactory but choice was limited. For example, there was no fish. The staff need to be reminded to anticipate the customers needs. To sum up: It lacked atmosphere.
Excellent room and bed. Breakfast also very good
The location was ideal for exploring Bath on foot. Car parking acceptable.
From the welcome to the room and everything in between Brocks guest house was top shelf.Nothing was too much trouble. The room was beautifully furnished Breakfast was the best we had over our whole trip to England. I would highly recommend Brocks to anyone.
There was nothing not to like. The location was perfect. I am having trouble finding 200 words to fill this as I cannot fault anything. Our room was clean nicely decorated, and a great size with room for everything. Again I would recommend Brocks to any traveler looking for a quality guest house.
location, staff, room set up, price and the breakfast they served.
A pretty building in a lovely part of Bath with the added bonus of being able to park right outside. Very polite staff, a delightful room and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Nothing to report here!!
