Well, the locations is okay. I think I got put in an all-guys-dorm, which was kinda weird. Plus the room was very poorly ventilated, so when I woke around half 5, I wasn't able to fall back a sleep because it was so disgusting and moist. So I sat down in the reception-area reading, but there the coaches where so dirty that I hardly even felt like sitting there....

The location is really good, in the center of Edinburgh : in the middle with a lot of tourists places. Easy to join from the aeroport by Airlink bus So much noise, and rooms are so cold (no heating) Bathroom not very clean Price/Quality => the price should be really lowered

Very friendly and helpful staff great location (city centre and old town) Very small rooms noise from the street 24/7 old windows in the rooms - it was noisy and cold (althought it was possible to lend an electric heater from reception) no furniture in rooms (there was only bed and very small locker) seedy toilets no hot water in some of the showers

We just stayed the one night in edinburgh and we were coming in on the bus so we didn't want to walk very far so the location was perfect. Right on the royal mile, in my view the best bit in edinburgh. The double room we had was very spacious and because it was december we were provided with a heater, very cosy. The guy behind the bar was very friendly and helpfull. The only thing we were wondering was because the double room was so spacious if you couldn't have fit a toilet/bathroom in. Just for an extra bit of 'luxury'. But maybe the double rooms get used as dormrooms in the summer holiday since it's much busier then. Which I can understand.

It's quite near the city centre, and is easy to find it. With the cheap price, I think it's so good. The shower room doesn't divide from man and woman.

I liked the hostel staff and the hostel location. I don't like the facilities one gets there. As a comparison, Formula One (the cheapest Accor hotel) offers some basic facilities (a soap and a towel in the room for example) at half price. If I knew this in advance, I would have chosen to stay in a hotel. Next time I visit Edinburgh I will definitely chose a hotel, not a hostel. I would not recommend a hostel to any of my friends. Nothing particular with Brodies, I guess it is the same with all hostels.

The location. Very cramped - six people in a small room, inadequate ventilation, no room for baggage, towels, etc. Bathrooms incredibly cramped. Staff unfriendly.

The location is close to perfect. It's a short walk from Waverley Station and from the airport bus. I found the staff very friendly and helpful and fully informed about the city. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable. The number of toilets is limited, however this never became a problem. There was some noise coming from the street but, as I was there during the Fringe Festival, this was to be expected.
