Nice ambience. Very helpful staff, and room was very clean.
The hotel facilities and room were lovely. Very comfortable!
The hotel itself was lovely however the visit was completely let down by the ignorant uninterested staff. We were checked in my a gentlemen who was extremely disinterested and offered no help or direction at all.
Booked via booking . Com hotel got date wrong made to feel I was in the wrong. Paid for breakfast when it was included in price didn't see bill until bill paid !!! Then you have to claim money back , payment confusing even staff stated it in welcome , not informative as to meals/breakfast so no up-selling just another passer by.
Had someone walk into our room twice, didn't explain who they were. Went to check out and got told we had to pay but noone had explained to us when we checked in it was only reserving money. Facilities such as sauna and jacuzzi not working again. I stay every week and was not happy with my stay at all and am bebeginning to look else where
Loved the period building and rooms were well furnished. Comfy beds too
Rooms were quite small and the Tom Jones act in the bar could be heard loud and clear in the room
Nice friendly staff and good location
The bed The room was ok
I thought for the price the food seemed very microwaved / fast food. We sent the beer bck in bar as was gone off. After dinner, I tried to order some water and wine for the room as was in my pyjamas. I tried 7 times and no one answered when dialling 0. Having paid a £20 deposit, my food was only £19.80 and then I was charge 80p on departure. Not sure how that works but due to it being so little and I was in a rush, I just paid it.
Unfortunately next room decided to host 24 hour party. They we told to turn off music at 10.45 pm by staff. Started shouting again around 3.30 am doors slamming 4am. Still at it when we left at 8.45 am. Complained to reception who immediately got manager to go to the room.
Efficient friendly staff; clean & well equipped room; ample free parking. Food generally good.
One of our party had to send his restaurant meal back as the skate wing had been burnt. The replacement was fine.
Very clean and comfortable room.
Not much in the immediate vicinity but plenty of restaurants, pubs and bars in nearby Bromley
Although breakfast was very good, we did not realise that it was not included in price!
Having had a busy day, wanted to sleep but functions in hotel made that difficult. Need to check bill as were charged initially for 4 cooked breakfasts instead of 2 cooked and 2 continental. I only had tea and small bowl of fruit for my continentals for which I had to pay over £7 each...!
garden, friendly staff, good mattresses
This hotel is in urgent need of some modernisation! Especially bathroom feels like being back in the Seventies! Very old carpets. Cold tab was not working at all; bathroom just looked old and grubby, although clean
Lovely location, friendly staff, nice rooms, nice food. Lovely one night stay
Parking spaces rather narrow, and I only have a small car, and I can park (am a driving instructor)... :)
Great staff good food very pleasant
Not much except layout slightly odd
the staff were very helpful and very polite
the room was a bit small
it was clean and had tea making facilities
it was very small. one had to sit on the bed while the other changed- I don't think I've ever been in such a small hotel room. The bathroom was also very compact
Hotel needs a makeover
Comfort of room and excellent breakfast
The length of time hot water took to get to sink tap in bathroom.
Great location. Not a bad hotel but starting to look a teensy bit tired. Room ok but very small window so not a great deal of natural light.
Lack of natural light in room
Quick and efficient check- in. There were a number of functions on the Saturday evening which meant we couldn't dine in the main restaurant but we had a lovely meal in a smaller room. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. Breakfast was served in the main restaurant overlooking the garden. Plenty of choice and lovely poached eggs cooked to order. The hotel has plenty of public areas. Bedroom was comfy and quiet.
We went for my partners birthday and we had a brilliant night stay dinner was perfect truly enjoyed our stay there and will be back again sooner rather than later.
Comfy bed, small but cosy room, good powerful shower, tasty breakfast.
I was sent an email offering a free upgrade before my stay from the hotel - but when I got there they had no record of this and made me feel like a pushy customer demanding an upgrade I wasn't entitled too. It was embarrassing and made me feel awkward. And yet it was the hotel who contacted ME to offer this free upgrade from a twin room to a double. There needs to be better communication between their marketing department and their staff. Also colleagues who stayed at the hotel before said the Jacuzzi was wonderful - the perfect way to relax after a demanding course - but there was no water in it when I was there, for 2 nights. Disappointed.
You are allowed to stay in the hotel with your pet dog! The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the gardens are huge.
long way from the station Bromley South
