Just round the corner from the town centre . A short drive to the prom .There were lots of lovely nick nacks throughout the b&b and all spotless . A very comfortable bed in a cosy room.Breakfast was spot on .Can't fault it .
Nothing comes to mind
Loved the room, owner very friendly and helpfull. Would definately stay again.
We enjoyed our stay very much (family of 7). The rooms are clean and nice. Breakfast was generous and tasty. Kind hospitality. High value and reasonable price. Good location for traveling to Snowdonia National Park!
It was all fine.
The staff were friendly and helpful
No local restaurants for dinner
We went for a quiet break that's exactly what we got
Location,friendly staff and the breakfast
The musty, dampish smell in our bedroom
Friendly staff Interesting decor in bedroom. Breakfast good.
Dead Moths on floor in bed room and bathroom there when we arrived and still there when we left so hoovering not done properly or at all? Shower drain very slow. Quality of decor in bedroom not matched by that in rest of hotel. Mattress cover old and worn. Front door lock difficult to use but not explained even though known about. Needs a notice on the door.
Friendly staff Great location Excellent breakfast
Felt like a very well thought out themed Victorian hotel, ideal for many local amenities. Four poster bed had a nice look but wobbled way too much.
Rude hostess with complete lack of personal skills. 'Full English' was one egg, one sausage, one bacon and 'mushrooms' was 1 button mushroom cut into 4 pieces. We felt like we were a nuisance the whole time and couldn't wait to leave. Every time someone on our floor flushed the toilet we has to listen to ten minutes of it going through the pipes.
What's not to like?! Homely environment enhanced by professional approach. Well appointed with a hearty b/fast to end my 1 night stay. I would be stumped if asked to suggest an improvement.
Comfort, friendliness and the breakfast. Attention to detail was paramount.
clean, large rooms, friendly staff, great breakfast.
No heat. Hard beds
A very hospitable host, a beautiful room with tasteful furniture . A stunning dining room and plenty of choice on the menu.
Exactly As we expected for a a single over night stay -good double room with all usual amenities. Full Breakfast the next morning was delicious!
My only criticism is that it could do with a bigger mirror near a plug socket! Only a Minor irritation though.
Many thanks to Gordon and Sandy for giving our stay a personal touch with fresh flowers in the dining room and everywhere was very clean. CCTV over a small car park at the front was reassuring. The hotel is in an upmarket road 5 minutes walk from the high street. The hotel was very busy and managed to retain its olde world charm, enhanced by the owners standards.
We stayed for 3 nights in a compact room which had a 4-poster bed. The bed needs a new mattress as on one side, the springs were pushing up and could be felt.
The breakfast was immense! Loved it.
great hostess, clean comfy rooms, nice decor, home cooked breakfast overall pretty faultless experience. Would definitely recommend and revisit
Owners very helpful
Twin bedded room tight for space. Church bells ring every hour night and day.
bed very comfortable breakfast excellent friendly staff
The room was very cozy and a fair size for the two of us. The bed was comfortable, there was plenty of storage space, the Wi-Fi reception was good, TV picture good, and we had the best shower we have had yet in a B&B anywhere. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. There was families with small children staying but we didn't hear any noise.
Although the hotel advertises free parking there is only room for three cars so it's first come first served. There is parking available on the street between 18.00-08.00 and all day Sunday. Also, not the hotels fault but Colwyn Bay is a run down place with no amenities at all. The council are spending millions on a new sea front and leaving the rest of the town to fend for itself. Not a place to stay for more than a day or two.
Pillows soft and lumpy. Amount of cushions on the bed
The rooms were spotless and clean and I was made very welcome
Friendly hosts, lovely breakfasts, nice clean room.
Chiming of the church bells every hour was the only small negative.
Everything about the place including the more than adequate breakfast yumyum, delissimo and very very tasty.
That we had to come home.
