The breakfast was okay but no fresh fruit only tinned grapefruit. I had to aks for a butter substitute which was refused at first but they did come up with this soon after plus better jam! The room was poky, one could hardly turn around and it would have been very stuffy if we had not kept the windows open overnight. Bathrobes were promised as was a sea view and large beds. There was no lock on the toilet door and it did not close properly. The shower was tiny and the toilet and sink area likewise. A restaurant and bar was advertised, the bar was not open nor were we were offered a menu for restaurant meals. The hotel claimed a four star rating which was simply not the case. It was overpriced, we could have stayed in superior accommodation in Llandundo for half the price and had the sea view as promised.

I had to attend a funeral of a very close friend and found this Hotel! It was a pleasant visit but to be fair the people who run the hotel did give me the support I needed during my involvement with them!! I was on a very tight schedule to get back to London Gatwick airport the following day and they helped !!

There's nothing to dislike about Bryn Woodlands. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and bath robes were a nice touch. The breakfast was really good with quality ingredients. If in that neck of the woods we will definately stay again.

The house has been lovingly redecorated and shows great care. We liked the 2 dogs and the cat - but possibly that should go into the write-up so anyone who may have allergies, would be forewarned. Very nice home.

The landlady was very nice and tried to be very helpful. The breakfast was good and plenty of it and the house was very clean. The location was average, and the shower was not very good. The wi fi didn't quite make it to our room as it was too far from the server point, but it was advertised with free wi fi which was one of the reasons that we booked.

Very conveniently located near train station and regular bus service to Llandudno, and still a nice area. Clean and comfortable. Peaceful. Very comfy bed! Not many places you can go to directly from Colwyn Bay, but easy to get to Llandudno, and lots of services from there.

Friendly staff good breakfast - very clean and comfortable. 4 Poster bed in the room was a surprise. Whilst having all modern comforts some of the decor and furniture was like a throw back to Victorian times but nonetheless very quaint. Whilst the hotel is lovely unfortunately Colwyn Bay has seen better times and is very much in decline.

Warm and friendly staff. Lovely decorated and relaxing rooms. Walking distance to the beach. Very close to town but overlooked a church green. Church clock chimes at every hour. Colwyn Bay is very run down and not much choice there.

Clean, well fitted with reasonably good furniture and comfortable beds. The welcome was warm. This owner knows how to make scrambled eggs, using only eggs and butter; too many B and Bs and hotels add flour and milk and cook it until the whey runs out!

It was a very friendly homely atmosphere. Also very welcoming people willing to give recomendations on places to eat and drink. We were not told that they had dogs and my fiancee is scared of all dogs.

Buenas instalaciones, y muy buen desayuno, al igual que la amabilidad del personal La falta de ascensor, y una de las habitaciones era realmente demasiada pequeña para un matrimonio, quizas hubiera servido para una sola persona y una cama de 1 plaza.

“Above all else I thought the food was delicious! The staff were incredibly friendly and an all round happy atmosphere at the hotel. The staff to a man and woman were delightful with my four year old and I look forward to re-visiting with my partner and baby.....Long may you reign, Imperial!! ps and how nice not to have a buffet/help yourself breakfast with 'past-their best to eat' selection! Instead glorious, freshly cooked, served All Welsh!” Ian, Chester |
