Score from 8 reviews Very good
Great peaceful and attractive location but not far from Mold town centre. The rooms are large clean with a massive bed and sky TV plus free wi-fi. The staff are really welcoming and helpful. Great cooked breakfast and a large choice of Cereals including fresh fruit. Also a good selection of tea Plenty of space to park. Will definitely be returning
Excellent host; Nice room, bed, and en-suite facilities. Peaceful quiet place.
Location will probably need a car for access.
The bed was sited under the eaves so had to watch out for the beam
Fab host Excellent breakfast
Beds Rooms Setting
Road to it very bumpy - single lane track! Messy in the kitchen!
Difficult to find but that was our fault for not down-loading map.
The rooms were to a very high standard and lovingly decorated. Polly was a most friendly, helpful and accommodating host, helping us find our way around, taxis and cooking a fabulous breakfast-great food!! Thank you :-)
The access is a little potholed but theres not much can be done about that!
Nothing apart from the web site ad which sold the b&b to us.
Directions were appalling, one sign on the road then you had to guess from there, driving down an unlit, narrow track road, bad for the suspension. Room was very poor, no tea/coffee making facilities. The red room which I presume is the guest lounge was very messy with papers and files all over and there were 2 mattresses propped up against the wall. The room we were given was at the side of the property with no views, very unwelcoming
Clean well maintained attention to detail and helpful nothing was too much trouble
Nothing to not like
This is a lovely place, a fantastic host in Polly who makes you feel completely at home. Very welcoming and accommodating. We loved the farm house feel, everything fresh and natural. Would definitely recommend it to everyone.
It would have been helpful if there were hand rails in the shower , as my mum is 84 and struggled a bit getting in and out. A non slip mat for the shower would also have helped her. It would have been nice to have tea making facilities in the bedroom, however Polly told us to help ourselves in the kitchen for drinks whenever we wanted which helped.
Ideal place for a relaxing and quiet break away, (especially at 36 weeks due for a baby!) very cosy 1 bedroom apartment, very comfortable sofa and large bed, useful kitchen, lovely wet room with walk in shower, underfloor heating, beautiful views and garden and even a Tennis court to enjoy. Polly warmly greeted us and offered us a room at the Guest House as it would be more spacious (as I am pregnant and husband quite tall!!) however even though the apartment was very small it was ideal for us for 3 nights :-) Liked the decorations inside and on the outside door. Apartment/Cottage really is a lovely "ty bach twt" - cosy little place :-) Thank you so much- Diolch yn fawr
nothing really expect no curtain on kitchen window and only see through blind on bathroom window. Due to lack of space, easy to knock your head, especially on one side of the bed, however this was expected and easily avoided. Couldn't find S4C on TV or connect to Wifi
Should have stayed more nights .
everything.beautiful location , very peaceful which is what we wanted . the apartment was ideal and very cosy. will be back for another stay .
Comfortable place to spend one night. Warm welcome from Polly on arrival, who was the only staff member we saw. Breakfast was fine....but Quiet location.
Extremely bumpy track from main road. Cannot do non 4x4s any good making repeated trips. Breakfast choice was disappointing. Continental or full breakfast. We chose full, and it was cooked and it just appeared. No options to choose. Just one pot of tea served and no top up offered. No hot water in bathroom's tiny handbasin and there are no facilities in our room for making our own tea or coffee. One has to visit the kitchen for that. No enquiry received regarding any problems whilst here.
Room was clean and well appointed and staff were friendly and helpful.
Very hard to find, set back and hidden from the road and only one small road sign to show the way. Safety light on the bedroom ceiling in wrong place and so bright it kept us awake most of the night. Owner did say it was going to be fixed!
Friendly and helpful welcome, relaxed environment, clean and comfortable accommodation, delicious breakfast.
Long drive with lots of potholes, don't need a 4x4 but do need to drive carefully.
Not the easiest place to find but very accommodating over an early check in as we were staying overnight to attend a nearby wedding. Spotlessly clean and comfortable room.
No choice over the cooked breakfast and my friend hates mushrooms, which arrived on his plate. Plenty of fruit, cereal choices however. Reasonable coffee.
Location, rooms, facilities, breakfast, staff - all excellent. Lovely country getaway but very close to anything you need.
Nothing really. Road leading to the property isn't the best but that can be expected on a countryside retreat. Just drive carefully and you'll be fine.
Room very nice, very nice people running it, flexible and make you feel welcome, breakfast was fab.
On arrival, the entrance area looked a little untidy but dont let that put you off.
Everything, the room and its facilities excelled our expectations and we will be returning to Broncoed Uchaf next year.
Beautiful cottage . Very nicely decorated with comfortable bed ,very nice wet room and stunning surroundings. Close to Chester .
Peace and quiet, duvet, use of kitchen, helpfulness of Polly, breakfast.
Plumbing (quirky shower and having to stick fingers into top of loo to make it flush), the 'green' ceiling light at night.
Lovely stay lovely people and lovely house.
Breakfast - cooked to order at absolutely anytime of the day! Polly our hostess - very friendly and kind. Very clean and confortable rooms. Communal lounge with soft chairs and board games. Local pub with wonderful food and a warm welcome.
Slightly chilly in downstairs lounge. Kerb appeal low.
Room was comfortable.
