We where treated very well, they could not have been anymore welcoming . Room was very good. Breakfast was very nice we where asked what we preferred. Really enjoyed our stay wished we had booked a longer stay
Nothing to dislike
Friendly owners Great breakfasts! Very close to town but luckily quiet at night Very comfortable rooms with modern en suite shower
Had a lovely warm and friendly welcome by Mark and Mandy. Great location, 10 min walk into centre. Loved our quirky room also very clean and bed very comfy! Breakfast menu was fab and nothing was too much trouble.
The staff were lovely, really great with the kids. The breakfast was excellent. The room was spacious, as was the bathroom. Couldn't fault anything and would definitely return.
Delightful family room, a short walk to the Minster and other York attractions. Welcoming and clean, would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a home from home stay.
Everything was first class - the welcome, food, service, room, bed, location. My other half couldn't find anything to be negative about - that's an achievement!
Nothing at all - it was perfect!
Superbly Located, staff friendly and helpful, Mick's breakfast not to be missed. Do not stay anywhere else!!!
The owners were extremely friendly and approachable to anything!
Breakfast was lovely, host made us feel very welcome and not far from the town centre.
Train track opposite the guest house
Great host and atmosphere.
Ice available for the warm days.
The Bronte Guest House was charming, cozy and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Service was warm and friendly. Location was great for walking into town. Highly recommended!
Nothing to dislike.
Everything was great, made to feel really welcome, great breakfast. Made our trip to York a fantastic weekend
Very enjoyable stay
Everything was great!
I had a very good room with pleasant décor. Bathroom with large shower was modern and looked recently remodeled. Breakfast was excellent and service good. Easy walk down to the Minster, Museum and departure point for the hop on hop off buses. Also many pubs and small restaurants. I wanted to 'walk the walls' and there is an access through a tower right opposite the bus departure point. Entry to the Museum gardens also right there. The Minster is huge with wonderful stained glass windows. All the usuals to be found in such churches. Railway Museum is right at the station. One can walk there but a bit far for me so I hopped off the bus there.
I am 72 and a bit overweight so the stairs to my room on the top floor was a bit of a chore but I handled it OK.
It was 15 minute walk to the train station or the town centre.
We booked this B&B on the strength of comments from past users and it lived up to every expectation, Good location, friendly & helpful proprietor & staff, Very clean, comfortable bed and V/G food. all in all it made a very pleasant stay and good value.
Shower power not great on 2nd floor
The host were very friendly, wonderful atmosphere
Location and very friendly staff. Lovely breakfasts and delightful hosts
Mick and Mandy run a great guesthouse. Fairly stately old place well renovated with modern facilities. Location is brilliant with easy access to the town centre via a 10 minute walk - hint use Marygate road and go thru the fantastic museum gardens. Permit parking provided on quiet road outside. Terrific breakfast using local produce where feasible
Small tv a minor irritation but most places are the same.
The best! Very comfortable hotel! A lot of small details make you to feel like at home. Full English breakfast included, it was served in a small breakfast room, and was excellent! Absolutely perfect place to stay! Ten stars! Hope to come to this place once more. Hope they won't change!
Lovely bnb, room was really nice and cosy, spotlessly clean. fab choice for breakfast from cereal's, omelette, to full English. only 5minute walk into York town centre. The owners mick and Mandy were lovely too. would definitely recommend.
The owners were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was yummy. It was about a 5-10 minute walk to the town.
Beautiful guesthouse close to the centre of York. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Bedroom was a nice size with a surprisingly spacious ensuite facility. Breakfast was excellent & included a very tasty cooked option (catering for veggies too) good coffee, cereal & fresh fruit. Would definitely stay here again - thanks to Mick, Mandy & all the staff at Bronte for making us feel so welcome.
