Our room was lovely and the bed was really comfortable. Loved the decor throughout and the place was homely and full of character. Our hosts were really welcoming. Great breakfast too. Parking could be tricky if the hotel is full and the driveway is steep and at an awkward angle if arriving from the direction of Llangollen.

What a wonderful guest house. The owners have put so much care and effort into every aspect of the house and their warmth and friendliness lacked no less effort. A great stay. Highly recommended.

The hotel was welcoming to children. The house was full of history and the decor reflected this. The outside areas were great, plenty of space for the children to explore. With our own key, we were free to come and go as we pleased, making the stay very relaxing.

I liked the building itself, because although I now live in the far east, my home in England used to be a Victorian building very similar to Bron-y-Graig. So I particularly enjoyed the unreconstructed Britishness of the setting. It felt like home.

A tasteful recreation of a late Victorian house - original features preserved, William Morris reproduction wallpaper in all rooms etc. ) combined with high standards of personal service and good food

Large room beautifully decorated ... a step back into the past. Very comfortable bed and luxury of a sofa to sit and read/watch tv. Food was very tasty and home made. Owner very helpful with advice on where to visit and even tips about best parking spots in nearby town. Very steep driveway up to the house. Parking at top could be a bit of a squeeze if hotel was full.

Lacks the total dreariness of hotels run by corporations. Lenny Henry can pocket the cash but his chain is as mechanical and soulless as any other stock-market, private equity contolled property asset. This hotel has the conviction of its style, to decorate accroding to the period of the building.

L'accueil chaleureux et disponibilité de la responsable. Le petit dejeuner très British était fait à la demande et de qualité. Un salon très confortable. Manque de chauffage en cas de température basse au mois de mai. difficile de se lever le matin sans chaufffage.
