If you're in this part of the world, Corwen, then would recommend the B&B. Convenient for the wedding we were attending, clean and comfortable. Victorian style, kind of chintzy but we didn't mind this, added to the old 'charm'. Springy comfortable bed and did just fine for one night
Gentleman serving breakfast had headphones in whilst serving, listening to something.... felt this a bit rude and we weren't asked if we enjoyed our breakfast
The house is very solid and the room comfortable and clean with an immaculate bathroom. The ambiance is very soothing and relaxing due to the thoughtful decor. The owner is very hospitable and ready to offer any advice. Breakfast was wonderful and freshly prepared. I am impressed that other European languages are spoken here for overseas visitors.
Everything was fine and hope to return!
Rooms very clean. Breakfast options good.
Very stop driveway to access the parking and front door. Poor taxi service in the area.
Victorian period décor and artefacts, very good sized comfortable rooms with a good view. Nice breakfast with plenty of choice. Very clean, Helpful staff. Nice garden with seats. This is a very nice place to stay for a couple of nights I would thoroughly recommend it.
The entrance to the driveway is quite awkward and should not be attempted from the Llangollen direction.
Beautiful old building perched on the side of a hill, lovely view from brakfast room, and if you had time to relax on the premises very atmospheric sitting/library room. our bedroom was a generous size complete with sofa and king bed.
Large size of the room very important when traveling by motorcycle.
Lovely old house. Friendly welcome. My lost watch taken care of thank you. Good menu choice for breakfast.
Very friendly and homely
Loved the friendly atmosphere and helpfulness from everyone. Room with great views and very clean
We truly enjoyed our stay. Beautiful location, very clean and tastefully decorated. I was very impressed with breakfast as there wre lots of choices for vagetarian. Very definitely stay there again.
Amazing friendly service, nothing too much trouble
Lovely scenery. Great room and facilities. Excellent choice for breakfast
Location. Welcome. Attentive staff. Bathroom. Bed, clock radio, tea/coffee facilities Breakfast Nostalgia - Ceiling wallpaper was the same as I had in my bedroom as a child & young adult. :-)
Booking.com's mix-up. Couldn't get S4C on the tv in the room, though we didn't call anyone to see to it. Would have liked to see some local (or at least Welsh) produce at breakfast, such as the butter, jams, locally sourced produce noted on menu etc. My daughter was a little freaked out by all the cat ornaments & pictures in the room - we're not 'cat people' at all.
I was on my own with 2 children and it was convenient for a night whilst my children were competing at the National eisteddfod 8 miles away. The room was big, very clean and comfortable and the views from the large bay windows lovely. A calm and relaxing environment.
They were very accommodating and started breakfast 30 minutes earlier so we could have some really nice
The best mid priced B&B we have stayed at in 30 years. Everything was excellent and worth smiling about.
The friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the room was excellent. The way it had been decorated in period style using William Morris and the setting was beautiful.
The generous and warm welcome.
Nice house, breakfast was excellent as was the service and hospitality. Great shower, parking and views. Garden looks a great place to hangout in the summer evenings with a glass of wine. Also, has a whole cottage to hire which we will select next time with friends. Some good pubs and Ruthin Castle, Viaduct all within 5-10 miles.
Driveway was challenging. beds rather hard due to joining two beds together and piping around the beds caused some discomfort. Bedroom window difficult to open and close.
Very friendly and helpful staff , very peaceful environment and breakfast just awesome
No macdonald nearby , lol Nothing
The character of this 1888 house with its fine interior restoration -making full use of William Morris designs - and the commanding views over the Dee Valley from both the house and its terraced gardens.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Room very spacious and clean. View was breath-taking. Will definitely go back.
Warm and friendly Clean and good breakfast
Sad that no restaurant operating but happy with owner's recommendation for an outside eating venue
