Good restaurant in the hotel. Quite and relaxing. Friendly staff. Ideal situation for the town and the countryside. The floorboards of the room above were very creaky and it disturbed you whenever anybody walked on them. But having said that the people upstairs were not partying all night so it was not much of an inconvenience.

Danielle and Coral, the evening receptionists's response to a problem we experienced with a wall-mounted hairdryer which seriously overheated and wouldn't switch off. We were both very concerned about a potential for fire risk when we were all unable to find an electric supply to switch off. They arranged for us to move to another room out of the annex into the main part of the hotel. The peeling wallpaper and the dark furnishings in the room which we were initially allocated.

Convenient for our particular needs on this trip including its situation. Staff were helpful and courteous. Facilities were good. Room was clean. Probably needs refurnishing and decorating in the long term but this did not spoil our stay or outway the advantages.

We booked a ground floor room as my husband is partially disabled, yet when we arrived we were given a room up two flights of stairs. After complaining we were given a room in the annexe. At breakfast, tables were not reset. We had to ask for milk one morning, butter the next. Also we were given brown toast one mornin g when we had specifically asked for white. In all it was not up to the standard I expected for the money paid.

very helpful and friendly staff and the food was surprisingly good in the evening. Sadly staying their did not live up to expectations. The room we had was small and dark. The lighting was not good. The bathroom did not look as though it had been cleaned properly.

Located across the road from Knole deer park. Greensand way and other walking opportunities close to the hotel. Bus stop very close with local buses to Tunbridge etc. The room was in an extension building, with very traditional decoration and romantic athmosphere including creaking floorboards. Free tea and coffee in room. Bath tub, with a fine working shower up high, but no hand shower.

Very good shower over the bath, towels large enough to use. Friendly staff on the front desk who are very efficient, changed my bill with out asking when I couldn't have breakfast as it start after I had to leave. The fact that breakfast started so late at the weekends and no alterative can be offered. Although the restaurant was very pleasant and the staff attentive I found the food very average. The steak and kidney pie was really a stew with a baked puff pastry croute on top, more pub than restaurant, but it tasted fine. Bathroom needs refurbishing as it is getting tired.

The breakfast was one of the worst I've ever been presented with. The quality may have been good to start with but it was ruined by the chef. Service in the restuarant was mediocre.

Location is great for so town centre and it has parking on site. This is my third visit to this hotel and on each occasion I have encountered the same issues. The rooms are dated but ok, they are terribly warm and the showers in all three rooms either didn't work or was cold. It's location is the only reason I return - it's the only hotel in Sevenoaks within walking distance of the High Street.
