I always find my room rather warm, but the windows all open wide, and I invariably sleep very well indeed.
There is a pleasant sense of being welcomed into a family home, without it ever intruding into too much chat or preventing one from being completely independent. The rooms are attractive and scrupulously clean, the breakfast excellent, the service efficient, and the whole place is friendly but without clutter: everything is fresh and pleasant. Each room has a tray with tea and hot chocolate etc. The wifi works perfectly and immediately: something absolutely crucial for me as I need to be in touch with my work, and answer emails promptly. It is an ideal place for an overnight stay, but people also evidently find it a good place for a holiday, as it is right in the centre of Taunton, and well placed for travel to Exmoor and all the enchanting villages...at breakfast one hears conversations in various languages, visitors all evidently relaxed and enjoying their stay.
I like the fact that in addition to everything else, fresh towels and soap and shampoo and a TV and so on, there is a Bible in a drawer... a friendly touch that gives a family feel to the house.
