A friendly welcome from Angela & Steve, a wonderful room and the best cooked breakfast anyone could want.

The owners were super friendly and helpful. Ate breakfast in my room each morning. They would prepare a cooked breakfast for less than $10. A pub and a fish and chip shop across the road. The metrolink tram was a three minute walk, buy a day pass and commute all over for less than $10 per day. Old Trafford is four stops away. Will use again for my next match. Cheers!

I liked about Brooklands lodge was the free WiFi, great breakfast, very friendly owners.

Be aware that the owners do not live onsite, if you are booking from a tablet or Smartphone you do not get to see the terms and conditions that state that the owners will be on the premises only at given times.

Typical and cozy. Free Snacks (as a breakfast) and very comfortable bed. Armchair and table present in the room.

Small problems with heating and bathroom small.

Slightly unclear where everything was. Take-outs must be eaten in dining room rather than your own room. Breakfast as advertised on booking.com was actually basic cereal, tea, yoghurt etc in your room (not bad though, although high sugar stuff mainly if you're diabetic) with extra charge for cooked breakfast.

Very friendly hosts, excellent accommodation, good breakfasts, very good value for money, convenient for Manchester city centre – 2 min walk to Metro station

Steve and Angela obviously enjoy what they do, and this communicates itself to guests as genuine friendliness and in many thoughtful details. I have already booked my next stay !

Great location

This was a lovely house in a very convenient position to get into Manchester on the Metrolink. The hosts Steve and Angela were very friendly and chatty we had some great conversations. The room was spacious and had a small fridge with the makings for a continental breakfast, yogurts, fruit and juice but a great variety of cooked breakfasts were also available at an extra cost, well worth it! We had a lovely time and will stay there again when in the area to watch cricket as it is only 4 stops on the Metrolink from Old Trafford

There was nothing to dislike!

We had a wonderful stay, the proprieters were knowledgable, helpful and friendly. We chose to have the cooked breakfasts which were wonderful value for money and freshly cooked. We would definitely return maybe to watch Southampton play Man U!!

Fantastic welcome on arrival with an offer of help with the bags. The room was well thought out with everything positioned where you wanted it. What I enjoyed most was the size of the room making us feel very comftable. The bed was lovely and finally someone has the sense to put fantastic pillows in the bedroom, makes a good nights sleep almost guaranteed !! This is exactly how a business should be run, a glowing exampe to others in the same industry. I would rate this as one of the best bed breakfasts I've ever stayed in. Much better than any premier inn or travel lodge !! Pay a little bit more and enjoy your stay.

Don't park under the big tree at the back..... Birds sleep there, the garage close by has a car wash so don't worry if you do !! (Car needed a wash anyway)

The Lodge gave us a comfortable and quiet stay, in a convenient location near the tram and restaurants. Everything we needed was provided (including breakfast options and amenities). Steve and Angela were helpful in giving us directions and ideas of places to see in Manchester. The home is charming and clean, with a real British character. We liked everything about it!

Excellent location for my visit to Sale and Manchester. Metro-Link 3 minutes walk.Manchester airport 20 minutes by cab. Very comfortable room/bed , very quiet, v good value. Cont breakfast as supplied in room great idea and fitted my routine.

Homely and freindly owners. The hotel was close to where we needed to be. Come and go as we pleased. No real problems, car parking a bit tight, when full. Thats all realy. The main thing, we would stay here again. That says it all.

Room was well furnished and comfortable with everything I needed, I only saw Steve twice as my visit was business, but he was welcoming and helpfull.

I prefer a bath to a shower, but managed well enough.

Wir haben die Brooklands Lodge als gut gelegene Alternative zu einer Unterkunft in Manchester ausgewählt. Mit der Straßenbahn ist man tatsächlich innerhalb von 15 Minuten im Stadtzentrum von Manchester und mit dem Auto in 45 Minuten in Liverpool. Die Gastgeberin bemüht sich sehr um ihre Gäste und gibt wertvolle Ratschläge (manchmal fast schon zu viele). Unser Zimmer war groß und zweckmäßig sowie mit Nasszelle und Tisch ausgestattet. Zum Frühstück stehen Milch, O-Saft, Joghurt, Kompott und Cornflakes in einem zimmereigenen Kühlschrank zur Verfügung. Der Tisch ist dafür bereits eingedeckt.

Das gegen einen Aufpreis angepriesene Frühstück vermochte uns leider nicht wirklich zu überzeugen. Renovierungsarbeiten waren zur Zeit unseres Aufenthalts bereits im Gang, sodass davon auszugehen ist, dass auch unser Zimmer demnächst ein etwas frischeren Eindruck erwecken wird.
