Also, there were plenty of pillows, the bed was comfortable and the hotel bar was still open when we returned from our party at 2am. ”

We stayed at this Hotel to attend an event at the NEC. It was very easy to get to the NEC the following morning. Although we only stayed overnight, the accommodation was clean, comfortable and quiet. We didnt eat at the hotel. I would deffinately use this Hotel again. Three of us stayed in different rooms and there was nothing we disliked.

We found the hotel to be very basic. Rooms located at the front first floor are over the smoking area and are very noisey. The floors are creaky and alot of noise coming through from other rooms and upstairs when people walked accross the floor. Overall not good value for money by Irish standards. MA

The location was perfect for my own requirements and those of my elderly mother with slight mobility problems. Very quiet, spacious, ground floor twin room (space important for co-travellers who are not a couple!) and with plenty of seating and surfaces, sizeable bathroom, very convenient parking. Friendly, helpful staff, pleasant breakfast arrangements. I would use Brooklands Grange again.

A relaxing hotel convenient to Birmingham Airport, Coventry City and surrounding villages & countryside. A lovely change from the modern and impersonal hotels. Would stay there again.

We stayed on the night of 10th December. The hotel was very quiet, in fact we were the only ones in the bar and dining room. However the staff were exremely friendly and curteous and copuld not do enough for us. We would certainly stay there agin when next in that area. We were very impressed.

Price was very competitive. Loved the personally prepared breakfast - so much better than the buffet style. Dining Room very pleasant. Good bedroom furniture - wardrobe, armchairs, flat screen TV. The decoration of the hotel (apart from dining room) felt tired - particularly the bedroom. The carpet was rucked up and had bleach? stains. The bed could have been more comfortable. The en-suite facilities were dated.

Friendly welcome, reasonable standards although decor in rooms (especally bathroom) starting to get a bit tired. Good value though. Heating not great, although sorted out whilst I was there. Still chilly though. Decor a little tired.

Top flight three star hotel. I have stayed in lots of hotels and Brooklands Grange is at the top of the 3* league. The room furniture was in excellent condition, well equipped and the en-suite bathroom was a fair size and also nice and clean. Although on a main road, it is well set back and the room was completely quiet. Decent size tv and all the small things that make a short stay easy, rather than a strain. It is impossible to criticize for the price I paid and for its three star status.

The staff were very nice at the hotel, hospitable. They allowed me a later check out for no extra cost. The breakfast was great and we had a big choice.

The brooklands is a comfortable hotel, the food was hot with a varied menu. The lounge and bar were cosy and a plus for Coventry were the parking facilities. Buses run into town but is 30 mins brisk walk to town centre. Easy access to the a45 and surrounding villages by car.

On arrival the welcome at Reception was curt. However we later struck up a conversation with the same Receptionist when he served us at the bar and was pleasant and friendly, although smelt strongly of cigarettes which was off putting. Our bedroom was very old fashioned and dull with dark furniture and the view from the window was a row of horseboxes. The paint was peeling off the window frame and the wall paper in the bathroom was coming away at the edges. Having said that the room was very clean. The full English breakfast comprised of tinned mushrooms, economy sausage, limp bacon and greasy fried bread. The carpet still had crumbs everywhere from the previous evening meals. But for £45 for a double room with breakfast what can you expect. A very tied and drab hotel.

The room we had was well away from the road, so even with the window open it was nice and quiet. The bath was a reasonable size (some are truly tiny in hotels) and the general standard of the room was good. The bed was rather hard - my back ached the next day. Breakfast was pretty limited, and the coffee was bitter stuff from a peculator, but quite reasonable given the low price we paid. There was some difficulty over the use of an old-fashioned manual credit-card machine, but I assume that the electronic one doesn't go down that often, so I can forgive them that.

The proximity to a party that 8 of us were attending and the hotel was very clean. The price for three rooms was fantastic. We were a family of 8 with 4 children so returned early (21:30)from the party to have a drink in the bar. The member of staff present told us the barman had gone home because the hotel had recently gone into administration. She refused to serve us as she said she wasn't trained. I complained the next day ad was told by the duty manager that although the hotel had gone into administaration, we had clearly been lied to because the young lady should have served us. Very poor situation when the duty manager calls one of her staff a liar. Even worse is that she lied to us because she couldn't be bothered to serve us. The staff are obviously hacked off as it looks like their jobs aren't safe. Do not stay here if you expect to be treat like a paying customer and especially if you want a drink in the hotel bar. Would not recommend this hotel purely because of the poor staff. Oh, one other thing, our breakfast was included in the price but if it wasn't, I would have complained about the portion size for the price. I will say though, it was tasty but not worth paying for.

Very hospitable, within easy reach of the City centre and easy to get out of town without much traffic. There was no telephone in the room.
