Loved the High Tea, scones were out of this world. Evening meal was excellent, good choice of menu. New decor is lovely, when all is finished it will be a much improved hotel.
Cooked breakfast wasn't great, the bacon was like cardboard. New mattresses are definitely a must!
We liked the friendliness of the staff and the wifi access
Considering our room had been refurbished the floor was very squeaky and the mattress lacked 'body'. The squeaky floor in the room above interrupted our sleep and felt very close and it felt very close to our heads
Staff very friendly and accomodating. Room quiet, in back of hotel. Great breakfast.
Cobwebs and dead flies in room 18. Room needed Alex Pollizi. Stained carpet and wallpaper which was peeling from wall in bathroom.
Most of the staff were pleasant and the room was comfortable.
I booked Brooklands-Grange Hotel - I spent 30 minutes looking for this including an un-answered call to the hotel. After stopping for a meal tried calling again to be told it had changed its name - no real apology. Despite informing reception the Wi-Fi did not work for the 3 days I was there.
The food was good. Rooms at back quiet. Decor like the old traditional hotel style but everything worked and it is practical. Wifi free. Nice view of garden and trees from the rooms at the rear. (Room 36)
Drinks prices too high. Re-development going on though not much actual impact on guests. Made to feel a bit guilty coming to breakfast 8.40 although serving until 9.30. Breakfast was quickly served and perfectly ok however. did not display correct hotel name - because of 'rebranding'
nice staff, great price, beautiful scenery, breakfast is fantastic, hot breakfast is made according customer's order! it's great!
one light in the room is broken down. hope hotel can examine facilities regularly
Comfortable hotel and friendly staff. Big parking area.
In need of modernisation
Staff were friendly and helpful.
Hotel in need up some updating. On our visit the Hotel sign was being rewnewed and we drove past a few times before we realised we were at our destination.
Staff very friendly and obliging
Some of the decor needs updating and looks a bit tried
Room I booked was described as with a large bathroom, when I asked a member of staff in the hotel about this I was told all bathrooms are standard.can not fault the hotel as soon as I complained we were upgraded to a better room. Booking.com mistake not the hotels
Very pleasant welcome. Served the purpose of the trip which was mainly a place to sleep for 2 nights. Booked a family room for 3. Good size and nice view of horses in neighbouring field.
Hotel in the middle of change of ownership therefore there was building works going on during our stay. Didn't feel the room was well lit. Struggled to straighten my hair due to limited lighting
some members of staff are amazing.. others can be seen having a beer at 9am!
Got 3 cups in a row still with lipstick marks.. same for glasses.. Wonder if they ever washed the dishes...
As all the signs outside the hotel were covered up we only knew it was the right hotel by actually stopping and going inside and asking. We were then told the hotel was being rebranded and the old signs had been taken down. At breakfast the following morning we were left for half an hour after giving our breakfast order. It was only later that we discovered from another resident that the chef had phoned in sick and someone else was cooking. If staff had been honest in the first place and explained the situation then the long wait would have been more tolerable. Maybe a reduced menu in these circumstances would have been advisable as the person in charge of the kitchen was clearly out of their depth.
The staff and position were great, a very relaxing spot close to Coventry
the bed itself was clean and comfy, so we did a have a good nights sleep!
the room was tatty and bathroom had paper peeling off the walls and mould all around the bath. hotel was in a time warp and needed a coat of paint and the carpets cleaned throughout. The towels in the bathroom had holes in them. The restaurant told us they didnt have any "non dairy" milk as no one ever asked for it, so couldnt cater for a lactose free breakfast.
Nice hotel, especially ensuite bathroom. Fairly smart and comfortable
Sound proofing not great, lots of noise early from someone getting ready in the room above
The staff were very polite and very helpful wanting to make your stay the best they could. The hotel is being refurbished to a very high standard and will in the future I think become very comfortable with excellent basic facilities. The bar menu was good as was the restaurant. The Hotel is very dog friendly with a large paddock to the rear that is partially fenced. The newly refurbished rooms are of a good standard and hopefully all rooms will be completed to that standard. We will stay there again
The Hotel Sign is still being made and finding it proved difficult as the old sign under a previous name was still visible.
Late bar service and general friendliness. Nice garden. Adjacent to where my family members live in Coventry.
4th time we have visited this year and 4th different room. Every time we seem to get a worse one!! Need to renovate some of them and maybe give regular clients at least a good one. Half eaten full English was left in in the lounge outside our room and not cleaned away for 2 hours. Stress because of getting rooms ready for a wedding they said.
not a lot
cleaniness noisy needs redecorating too expensive hot water not turn tap ogg
We had a really pleasant time with the hotel. Many thanks for the amazing time.
comfortable bed Excellent breakfast Tea and biscuits in room
Shower Room very warm
pleasant staff and excellent breakfast
room requires modernisation and re decoration. Some cobwebs were on the ceiling of the room and dirt was on the skirting boards.
Nothing was too much trouble. The dinner menu good food excellent breakfast good.
The towel rail had no caution sign to say it was hot. My colleagues door would not lock. The smell in the bar is foul. I
Outdated bedrooms, construction work going on.
Location was great and on the bus route to town, the staff on reception were really helpful and laid back too. The breakfast was served in the conservatory with lots of choices and flexibility to what I wanted to eat. A nice, relaxing place to be.
