Brooklands could not accomodate us due to water supply problems, so they moved our booking to another guest house on the same road where the staff were very helpful and the facilities good.
near bus stop，nice staff
small room， a little far from center
Very noisy as on main road, concerns around wiring in accommodation, breakfast poor, decor tacky.
Had all the essentials. Good location.
Room a little cramped. Sink in room rather than in bathroom.
Room had filthy rug and the bathroom area was not particularly well cleaned. There was no parking on site as suggested. The building smelt musty and was very tired inside and out. There was no full english breakfast included. We were offered a few cornflakes, orange juice, yoghurt and a tasteless fried egg on dry toast. Would not recommend at all.
Nice helpful staff
No healthy breakfast choice. Soft beds. Worn rugs. Generally tatty. Poor security. One star max.
fairly busy road
Good location close to bus for city centre. Room nice size and comfortable.
Could have been cleaned better. Spa bath did not work.
too samll toilet was not indepedent breakfast
Very little except good wi fi service
Unfriendly and impolite staff Dirty room Extra payment for breakfast if you want bacon and eggs
Location Off-street parking
Bed and mattress were well past their replacement due life. The "four poster" bed veil had a hole torn in the top to let the light stick through. The floor coverings were threadbare. Check-in was by phone and we didn't see the proprietor until breakfast, which cost an additional 5 GBP for English breakfast (toast and cereal were included in the rate). The power board under the bed was broken in several places but still being used to power two items plus our own adaptor. Way too over-priced for what we got but close to the railway station which we wanted. Don't stay here until it is renovated!!!!
The location was good, close to everything & parking available too.
The room was far too hot & being on the front of the house meant having the windows open meant there was an awful lot of noise from people walking past (until 5am) and road noise from cars, buses & lorries most of the night!
Location is great. Make sure to check out Sparkles Convenience store just next door…excellent service there. Tons of lil restraunts in the area. Although seemingly very old, quite clean.
I stayed for 3 nights and only once saw ANYONE. There is a 4 digit code to get in but if you like being greeted or have questions to ask, no one is around. It said hot breakfast included but I never received one. There was just toast and cereal.
One of the most comfortable beds I've ever stayed in
Everything. Fridge in the room. Absolutely friendly host!
At GBP195, was fair value for money.
We paid cash on departure but, on arriving home, found our credit card had been debited for the same amount on the same day. No response to our emails!
Brilliant parking. Good location. Local amenities are brilliant too. I did get a bed bug bite ;(
Bed bug bites :(
Friendly host, good breakfast
The misunderstanding with the room number
Within walking distance of city centre and close to shops, restaurants, cinema etc My shower didn't work so I was moved into another room with no quibbles
Quite small and out-dated decor, rough round the edges The inconvenience that shower didn't work and had to move rooms.
breakfast minimal amounts. toast and croissants cold, no range of items other than cereals, coffee, minimal flavoured hot water, cracked bathroom fittings
Very helpful owner who let me check in late. Quiet room. Good location for Addenbrookes. Excellent value for money. Lovely breakfast.
Top room wasn't easy to get luggage into. Room would be squashed for storage space if 2 people were staying (twin room)
Secure parking, though had to walk to vet's car park well behind building but one. Bus stop to city almost opposite Mini market and off licence a few doors down, selling everything
Lip mark on glass in room No plug in sink Had to be careful not to knock our heads with velux windows at top of house (small twin room 8), especially when open. Blinds let in a lot of light on summer morning. Walk about 30 minutes into centre
Pin number on door supplied via email, so you don't have to collect your key/check-in ahead of time
