Friendly owner, quiet residential area, room was a good size
A little dusty, needed a quick spring clean
Nice white towels and sheets. Great breakfast of bacon and eggs although FULL English would have been an EXTRA £5. Nice toiletries.
Cramped room. Shower door black at the bottom which rubbed onto towel! Curtains hanging off rail. Tea tray not spotless. Noisy on the road. There was a wc, washbasin and shower but not altogether!
The location was perfect for my son's interview. Walking distance to Homerton College. Easy to catch a bus to and from the city centre. Comfortable, warm, television, tea making facility loo and good shower. Perfect choice for breakfast too.
Nice place with friendly owner. Facilities were clean and good. The breakfast suited us. Good location.
The room could have needed a proper clean and dusting on bedside tables, lamps and mirrors .
The landlady was very pleasant breakfast wasn't that good no sausages for one night ok but room was cold bed squeaky but very central good for visiting hospital
As above room cold bed squeaky shower cold ran very slowly
Nice little guest house , close to station , bus stop just infront . Good basic breakfast , owner was friendly . Loved the Room I was staying ,
The shower!!! This needs to be fixed as the temparture doesn't regulate correctly - you either burn yourself or freeze. No staff around to tell if there was an issue like this.
Staff were helpful & friendly. Breakfast in the morning was tasty.
Room was a bit grim and the bed squeeky & uncomfortable...
Guest house is close to the railway station.
Personal touches - eastern european flavour
modern twists that reminded one of staying in a B&B
The breakfast was acceptable.
The size, the dirtiness, the lack of fresh towels, the matress, the smell, the lack of service.
Nothing much to like really
The main road, lack of parking
Tania was lovely and the guest house does have a homely feel. When the bed broke in the room we were originally given, our replacement room was much better with an actual ensuite bathroom and a comfy bed.
The decor is very tired, which gave the impression it wasn't very clean. The original room we were given (room 3) had a broken curtain rail, holes in the wall from where the radiator had been moved, no plug in the basin, a chipped toilet seat and the bed broke when we were sitting on it. There was also no seperate bathroom. I paid extra for a 'four poster' room and was extremely dissappointed considering the money I had paid. It was also much further to walk into Cambridge centre than we had expected.
Brooklands could not accomodate us due to water supply problems, so they moved our booking to another guest house on the same road where the staff were very helpful and the facilities good.
near bus stop，nice staff
small room， a little far from center
Very noisy as on main road, concerns around wiring in accommodation, breakfast poor, decor tacky.
Had all the essentials. Good location.
Room a little cramped. Sink in room rather than in bathroom.
Room had filthy rug and the bathroom area was not particularly well cleaned. There was no parking on site as suggested. The building smelt musty and was very tired inside and out. There was no full english breakfast included. We were offered a few cornflakes, orange juice, yoghurt and a tasteless fried egg on dry toast. Would not recommend at all.
Nice helpful staff
No healthy breakfast choice. Soft beds. Worn rugs. Generally tatty. Poor security. One star max.
fairly busy road
Good location close to bus for city centre. Room nice size and comfortable.
Could have been cleaned better. Spa bath did not work.
too samll toilet was not indepedent breakfast
Very little except good wi fi service
Unfriendly and impolite staff Dirty room Extra payment for breakfast if you want bacon and eggs
Location Off-street parking
Bed and mattress were well past their replacement due life. The "four poster" bed veil had a hole torn in the top to let the light stick through. The floor coverings were threadbare. Check-in was by phone and we didn't see the proprietor until breakfast, which cost an additional 5 GBP for English breakfast (toast and cereal were included in the rate). The power board under the bed was broken in several places but still being used to power two items plus our own adaptor. Way too over-priced for what we got but close to the railway station which we wanted. Don't stay here until it is renovated!!!!
