Good location close to bus for city centre. Room nice size and comfortable.
Could have been cleaned better. Spa bath did not work.
too samll toilet was not indepedent breakfast
Very little except good wi fi service
Unfriendly and impolite staff Dirty room Extra payment for breakfast if you want bacon and eggs
The location was good, close to everything & parking available too.
The room was far too hot & being on the front of the house meant having the windows open meant there was an awful lot of noise from people walking past (until 5am) and road noise from cars, buses & lorries most of the night!
Location is great. Make sure to check out Sparkles Convenience store just next door…excellent service there. Tons of lil restraunts in the area. Although seemingly very old, quite clean.
I stayed for 3 nights and only once saw ANYONE. There is a 4 digit code to get in but if you like being greeted or have questions to ask, no one is around. It said hot breakfast included but I never received one. There was just toast and cereal.
One of the most comfortable beds I've ever stayed in
Everything. Fridge in the room. Absolutely friendly host!
At GBP195, was fair value for money.
We paid cash on departure but, on arriving home, found our credit card had been debited for the same amount on the same day. No response to our emails!
Brilliant parking. Good location. Local amenities are brilliant too. I did get a bed bug bite ;(
Bed bug bites :(
Friendly host, good breakfast
The misunderstanding with the room number
Within walking distance of city centre and close to shops, restaurants, cinema etc My shower didn't work so I was moved into another room with no quibbles
Quite small and out-dated decor, rough round the edges The inconvenience that shower didn't work and had to move rooms.
breakfast minimal amounts. toast and croissants cold, no range of items other than cereals, coffee, minimal flavoured hot water, cracked bathroom fittings
Very helpful owner who let me check in late. Quiet room. Good location for Addenbrookes. Excellent value for money. Lovely breakfast.
Top room wasn't easy to get luggage into. Room would be squashed for storage space if 2 people were staying (twin room)
Secure parking, though had to walk to vet's car park well behind building but one. Bus stop to city almost opposite Mini market and off licence a few doors down, selling everything
Lip mark on glass in room No plug in sink Had to be careful not to knock our heads with velux windows at top of house (small twin room 8), especially when open. Blinds let in a lot of light on summer morning. Walk about 30 minutes into centre
Pin number on door supplied via email, so you don't have to collect your key/check-in ahead of time
Nice welcome from the helpful owner.
Value for money, location
Drip drip from leaking radiator in bedroom, managed to stop noise with tissues stuffed into pot.so could sleep. Small maintenance matter.
It was quirky and different, but at the same time it was lovely. The breakfast was nice, and staff were very helpful. It's a nice place to stay 10 min walk in to central town. Very easy .
Nothing I didn't like.
No hot water throughout our stay. When we informed the landlady was given poor excuses and told to shower first thing in the morning.when we did this only had hot water for afew minutes, and the shower only trickled a few drops of water out.Would definitely not stay here again and would not recommend this guest house.
Friendly staff. Easy and secure parking.
Small room. A bit expensive for what it was.
Location nearest to the center
Somewhat small room. Not functional light above the mirror.
Eclectic decor. Comfortable and clean
Good sized room and en suite. Comfortable bed with clean linen and towels each day. Accommodation was advertised as being with continental breakfast but the choice included eggs &/or bacon. Owner was pleasant and helpful. B and B is situated next to a bus stop which provides a service every 10 minutes for a 15 minute drive into the city centre and university buildings. Overall, good value for money.
Car parking was advertised as being on site but is actually 2 doors away and down a driveway to an unsecured vet's car park. The shower was only a hand-held device attached to the bath taps. The room decor was "unusual" - the ceiling was painted blue with gold stars while the doors and mirrors were framed with strange raised patterns. Our room was in the front of the building and suffered from quite a lot of traffic noise.
