Our windows opened directly on to the busy main road; traffic noise made sleep impossible with them open. Room had ceiling fan, no AC, no ability to control radiator heat. Breakfast coffee was instant.

Hosters are warm and welcome, it's like a guest room. Like the breakfast and decoration in the house. 15 mins walk to the city center is not too bad.

Breakfast staff and morning welcome, clean white sheets and towels and tea making facilities, free wi fi and parking old fashioned decor, steep stairs, old carpets, rugs everywhere, too many electricity extension cables, small bedrooms with nowhere to sit to use computer and no evening snack facility eg microwave/fridge

The window in the top room was broken, and would not close. It was very cold, yet the owner did not see this as a problem and told me to 'sleep on the bed that was not under the window'. After 5 minutes she then decided that 'I guess I could move you to another room' which was clearly available from the beginning. Poor staff, unfinished rooms and unclean as well.

Very cosy and clean room with neat and modern en-suite bathroom. I loved the decor - not a typical modern-style and soulless business hotel (makes a change for me!) The breakfast was satisfactory, with plenty of good coffee. There was free parking less than a minutes walk from the guest house. This is not common for such a location, so much appreciated! The staff were friendly and efficient. Key-code entry front door. Can't explain why, but I always prefer a good solid key. Booking dot com should make sure they are very explicit about the breakfast that is included in the price - guests were confused about the additional charge of £5 for a full English breakfast, because this was not clear on Booking dot com website.

Friendly Lady that owns the hotel. The room had everything I needed at the right price. Some decor slightly dated but it really didn't matter that much.

The service was excellent and this is a perfect place to stay to get to London in around 30 minutes by train! The toilet and the water pressure seemed to be lacking a little. This is probably due to how old the house is but still it wasn't a show stopper by any means.

Rooms were clean and the location was convenient for the Cambridge Folk Festival. The bedrooms were small and cramped. The beds were not particularly comfortable. Being on a busy road it did mean it was quite noisy at times but then we knew that would probably be the case when we booked it!

The price and that it included breakfasts. Also that it was ensuite. The room I got was the attic and was very uncomfortable not being able to stand up strait in parts of the room.
