Leaving the dump Well we left early as the whole hotel stunk of dog and pee, the owners allow their old staff dog to roam around and i twice saw it pee on the carpets. After the first night the roof leaked in room 9 all over the bed. We then had to move to a room with all single beds this room was minging and stunk of pee we removed the sheets and there was a quilt full of it by this time we had, had enough and left early. The owner didnt even ask why we were leaving early, if he had i would have told him but i dont think he interested. Half painted hallways, skirting boards falling off, handle in the shower rusty, and black mould around the bathroom door. Avoid like the plague.

was short distance from promenade. The room was very disappointing, the family room that was shown on internet looked quite nice and clean. The room we were allocated was 3 flights up in the attic area and looked like it had not been decorated in a long time. One of the beds were very uncomfotable and dipped in the middle. The wall paper at the top of the stairs was coming away from the wall and had been stuck down with cellotape. This hotel was not worth the money and should be rated 2 star..

We received a warm welcome on arrival and although the room wasn't ready ( the previous guests had broken the bed!) we were offered coffee whilst we were waiting. The room was big and clean , the beds were comfortable and the breakfast gorgeous. Our son injured his foot during the stay and they let lent us a pushchair to wheel him round Blackpool. It was easy to walk to the town (15 min) and there were loads of lovely shops to enjoy on the way. Overall I would rate this hotel simple but an excellent value for the modest price paid. We are planning to return soon and I must add that the kindness of the owners was absolutely an asset to the place. Our son loved Nelson the dog ! Nathalie My husband found the en-suite a bit small but honestly it did not bother me.

Friendly staff, clean and warm, good breakfast Bar was unavailable most of the time and as we had children with us and the weather was bad, it would have been pleasant to sit in the bar in the evenings.

We were welcomed in with a happy face, shown to our room which was at the top and even offered help with our bags, the lady was very helpful and telephoned a taxi for us later that evening. Room was a pleasent surprise everything you needed for a short stay. Clean and comfortable. Clean towels were supplied and some tolietries. The shower was poor but did the job, bathroom was very small but again wasnt a problem. Was unable to watch tele as couldnt find a remote. We didnt ask as we were not in Blackpool to watch TV.Was a surprise to find in the morning on leaving that the money hadnt been taken out by booking.com and got processed on the day we left so be aware.

Set in a perfect location just a short walk to town. Of course it was winter when we was there, but it would be a perfect hotel to stay at in the summer time. Hotel was very nice, with all faccilits. We really enjoyed our stay, and would nt hesitate to stay there again, or recommend to friends or famiy. We had family room, plus single room No complaints, lovely hotel, nice staff who do every thing to ensure you enjoy your stay

We found this hotel to be well run, the staff were very friendly and overall the hotel was clean, efficiently run and in a good area for transport, shops and beach. The breakfasts were exceptionaly good. I stay in Blackpool every year and this is one of the best. I am looking to stay in this Hotel again. The only complaint would be the shower was very weak and the hotel could do with upgrading its pluming. This would not worry guests staying a weekend.

It is in a good position being just 50 yards from Blackpool sea front, but not in the busiest part of town. The owners and staff are helpful and pleasant and the hotel is generally a warm and comfortable place to stay. The family room we stayed in was a bit tired and needed some TLC.

The location was covienent and quiet, but just a short walk in to busier areas The bar did not have any draught beers/largers available. This may well have been due to it being last in the season and being caught out by the good weather as the hotel was full

“My first time staying at a hotel in the UK, so nothing to compare it with, but I was pleasantly surprised. Staff were polite, helpful & friendly, hotel was clean & warm, & I was allocated a room that I considered to be excellent value for money. The food was good (particularly the salmon) & the bar had a decent range of draught options available (including an excellent mild).” Aleks, Birmingham |
