very small bathroom attached to bedroom 4 - Shower very efficient though.

When we arrived, we were greeted by Tess, a lovely lady. Our room was amazing, a good size bedroom, and a living room all to ourselves too! Breakfast was wonderful, so much too choose from,fresh orange juice in quirky individual bottles.There was such a lovely relaxed atmosphere there, with other guests being on a return visit. We didn't want to leave, and will definatly make a return visit.

There wasn't any thing at all that we didn't like.

Absolutely everything about it was superb. The accommodation , the breakfasts and the owners were all brilliant.

Excellent accommodation with friendly hosts and a great selection for breakfast.

An exceptional break. The rooms are tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. Tess and John, the hosts, are welcoming, accommodating and helpful, in fact nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. The breakfasts are freshly cooked to order using fresh local produce, far better than the mass produced hotel breakfasts that are kept warm under lights.

Shower was not very powerful - may just be needing a new shower head though.

John & Tess were wonderful hosts and couldn't do enough for us. The room was lovely and the whole place was spotless. Breakfast choice and quality was superb.

Very warm welcome, superb breakfast with much variety to choose from , very clean accommodation. Owners very helpful with information on where to go within the area. Enjoyed our short stay hope to go back next year for a bit longer

It was like staying with your family but never having to lift a finger. John and Tess were the most welcoming hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. Everything was spot on, very professional and well thought out. The breakfasts were fantastic - so much choice - and served at just the right time, no waiting for anything. We will definitely be back next year

A very friendly and welcoming atmosphere, 1st class accommodation. Breakfast quality and choice exceeds that of a 5* Hotel. Brookside is owned by a very caring and helpful couple.

We had a wonderful relaxing weekend. Tess and John really look after their guests, so kind and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and their attention to detail ensured the best possible accommodation and breakfast we could have wished for. Our room was spotless and well appointed. The breakfasts were a feast in themselves; all beautifully cooked and very tasty. We will most definitely make a return visit.

From arriving to departing we felt welcome and looked after. Extremely friendly with nice rooms and excellent Breakfast, nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended!

No issues at all.

The owners were very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was good.

We had booked a room with private bathroom and were upgraded to an ensuite with a shower. The 'bathroom' was apparently only a shower room, too. The room itself was quite compact, the TV signal poor & the advertised stock of DVDs were not available. We were only staying overnight, so none of these were a major problem, but they would have been if we had booked a longer stay. The owners said they would alter the description to more accurately reflect what was on offer.

Everything, room was fantastic, breakfast choice and food fantastic best ever, hosts were attentive and really nice

Brookside guesthouse is very well run by a welcoming, available but unintrusive couple that know thier area well. Our room was well equiped and very well appointed with quality modern & tasteful fittings/decor. We would not hesitate to stay again if we were in the area.

We loved the people that run it, as soon as we met John and Tess they made us feel welcome, kept things with checking in very simple as after a long drive, it was perfect. Breakfast was amazing so much to chose from and all llovely good quality food! Room was lovely, couldnt of asked for more.

Didnt want to leave. Cant wait to get back, definately booking here again for our next visit to brixham!

The host's, John and Tess made us welcome from the start bringing us tea and cake on arrival. They went out of their way to ensure we had extra vegetarian choices at breakfast, in fact we haven't had nicer breakfasts anywhere. The rooms were spotless and the bed very comfortable. It was great that there is free car parking too, right in front of the house. Couldn't ask for more.
