location clean good breakfast free parking
Staff were very pleasant and helpful and room and hotel were good and would come again and recommend to others.
Room had no bath which was big enough for one and shower pressure wasn't very good
Friendly staff and had all the conveniences required. Nice atmosphere. Good breakfast and seemed to have a good restaurant for evening meals (we didn't actually get to try it but we did like the look of the menu). Less than 15 minutes walk to the centre of Chester.
The small double is really small. The bathroom was recently refurbished but the toilet seat was already broken. Could have been a little cleaner - especially the floor (don't think it was vacuumed the whole 10 nights we were there).
Friendly staff, excellent breakfast
In-room food poorly prepared and small portions
Very friendly and kind and the breakfast was delicious
It was nice enough, nothing special, staff were quite friendly.
Wine in the restaurant not served by the glass. If you want to buy less than a bottle you have to buy the little bottles which significantly limits the choice and quality. Bread is not provided automatically at the table and if you don't order it prior to the meal you don't get any. They say this is because they bake it to order but I'd rather have had bread when I asked for it. Both these points would mean that I wouldn't return.
Staff very attentive, breakfast excellent, good location to explore Chester from.
Car park was a bit tight
Very helpful and polite staff, excellent breakfast. Location was good, within an easy walk to the town centre.
Staff lovely, breakfast great
Dirty mirrors in our room 11. Busy road outside noisy at night.
I was made very welcome. I was travelling on my own and everyone was very helpful. Very cosy hotel. The room was lovely. Very high quality furnishings. Breakfast was excellent The choice was very good
within walking distance of centre
CLEAN, COMFORTABLE, PLESENT STAFF. GOOD LOCATION 7 off road parking
NO lift. Too many stairs
The staff were efficient and friendly. The hotel was ideally suited to be able to walk into Chester.
Nothing not to like.
very friendly and helpful staff relaxing in comfort great breakfast
had meal in evening not value for money
Loved this Hotel, location was excellent didn't need the car at all, free car park, the room was beautifully decorated very clean, lovely bedding, good shower. The staff were very helpful, and the food was excellent, will be going back in the future.
It felt homely and welcoming and the cat made me feel like home as i am a animal lover
unfortunately for me I didn't make it clear when booking that my mobility wasn't good so the fact there was no lift and we had to climb three set of stairs spoilt the holiday a bit. Never mind next time will be different. Thank you anyway
Very friendly staff, close to Chester town centre. Very clean room.
The bed was very low and not as comfortable as I expected.
Quiet location, small room but a good sized bathroom which meant we had ample room for everything. Good breakfast. Dining staff v friendly & efficient, remembered our preferences after 1st morning. Walking distance from town. Great value for money
Free parking a bit tight, but we walked into town at night, so it was not a problem. Room a little small, but ample space in bathroom to compensate.
off street parking available
room was small evev though we upgraded to a 4 poster bed. Two main meals poor- lamb and sirloin steak certainly not worth the money.
The position of this hotel was excellent with only a 10 minute walk needed to hit Chester town centre.
The room provided was a poor size and the mattress was lumpy. Woke up every morning feeling worse, with pains in the base of my back and neck.
Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable sitting areas downstairs.
Noise of busy road outside and additional disturbance by guests returning late (we were above hotel entrance). Feeble trickle of water from shower.
Friendly staff and relaxed places to sit with our friends
Evening meal rather poor
Chris, member of staff Dinner Lounge areas On site bar Rooms
Cat, I'm allergic.
Unfriendly , unhelpful staff . Noisy early morning traffic .
Good was very good
Poor decoration. 20 years ago would have been acceptable. Stolen car dumped and set fire too next to the car park!!! 2 hours of police and fire service outside the window
