Comfy room, warm, very clean.nice ensuite.nice little bar.staff very friendly and helpfull.good breakfast.not keen on the sausage though.great place to stay.
hotel was very handy for visiting Chester staff very helpfull
Nice rooms and very friendly staff
We didnt eat in the restaurant but found the bar snacks very expensive. .. £7 for a basic toasted sandwich!
Close to town. Friendly staff
Would have liked a hair dryer in the room
Easy walk from hotel to Chester Christmas market and cathedral. Good home cooked breakfast. Good helpful service.
Small double is too small. As room was so small very hot. Shower not very powerfull but we managed.
The location , the room the breakfast was great.
The staff were all very friendly. The food was excellent. The ambience was to our taste.
Out of city centre but only walk away therefor cheaper and quieter
1. With an additional Parking area there was always room to park. 2. With a bus stop virtually opposite the hotel, and buses every 15 mins. it was not necessary to use the car during our 2 night stay
Nice room with pleasant decoration. The staff were friendly too.
Heating didn't come on early enough. Food could have been better particularly dinner. Waited ages for breakfast to arrive (and order), nearly lost interest in it! Average when it did turn up.
Location Comfortable surroundings
One night the heating was off we were frozen all night however the following night it was warm. Be aware that they apply for 1 days stay in advance on the day of arrival which stays on your card for seven days. But charge you in full on check out.
The position and free car parking were a bonus. The friendliness of the staff made up for our initial disappointment of what we expected from pictures in the advertisement. Good breakfast, hot water and big flat screen TVs in bedrooms. Wi Fi good.
The hotel was very 'tired' and in need of refurbishment everywhere. Money had been spent on TVs in rooms but my priority would have been to decorate. Bar was disappointing, as was the restaurant (no atmosphere) so consequently we ate out both nights. Not something we had planned to do. The name of the hotel suggested it would have placed importance on it's restaurant but this wasn't the case.
room comfortable. staff very friendly. Food in restaurant very good.
car parking could be a problem. I know there was an overflow car park. but people need to learn to park their cars in one space and not take up 3 spaces. especially when the hotel is fully booked.
Ther hotel was clean and staff very friendly. We had a meal in the Restaurant on our first night. This was excellent and very good value. WiFi was a bonus.
The room we stayed in on the third floor the floor seemed to slope and we found the bed was not as comfortable as we would have liked, it creaked each time you moved. Breakfast was only served between 8.00 and 9.30 on Sundays, we would have liked to have more of a lay in.
location of the hotel
the fact they had a cat and it was allowed to roam in all the guest areas. My relatives werent happy as one was allergic to cats and we didnt no before we booked..breakfast was sparse and felt like we had overstayed our welcome on the second morning as abrupt staff didnt seem to want to serve us.
the hotel was comfy not far from the town centre and the food was nice
the cat all over the hotel on the reception bar and sat on the seats, im allergic to cats and if i had know there was a cat there i would not have booked in, spent the whole weekend ill.
Friendly staff, quality of food good, bed comfy, all in all an enjoyable stay and only 10 mins walk into city centre.
Not a big choice of wine on offer, didn't like the fact a cat was roaming about the reception area.
Staff were very pleasant & helpful. Breakfasts & Dinner were good
Very small car park although there was an overflow car park which we didn't use.
Staff Location Room 4 (one couple in this room) very spacious nice bathroom and a separate dressing area Breakfast
Room 25 - very oddly laid out. The wardrobe was right up against the bed so difficult to access. The bathroom was small and functional at best (the other couple were in this room)
Helpful pleasant reception ..one guy seemed to do a multitude of jobs. Well done to him. Had a very nice evening meal. Good location and free parking.
Room was cold, bed was extremely uncomfy/bumpy had to put spare quilt over the mattress. Room was dusty (could write name in dust on lamp base) dust around side of bedside cabinet and had dirty tissues down the back of the bed also biscuit wrapper on the floor near bed. Bathroom smelt of cat pee/spray ( did notice a cat walking around freely downstairs). Stairs needed good hoovering and decor needed sprucing/painting etc everywhere. Not value for money charged. Breakfast was ok but poor cooked breakfast ...sausage awful quality Small portions ..got three mushrooms one tomato one sausage one egg. kitchen noise not good whilst eating.
The location was great and it was handy that there was a car park outside. Great value for money!
Decor of the hotel slightly dated
Friendly staff good food great location would bs happy to stay again.
Good breakfast, nice big room with lovely en suite facilities.
Not too much of a problem but the dining room was quite congested, tables too close together, my husband has difficulty with mobility and it wasn't easy for him getting from the table
Friendly staff and clean hotel
Room was smaller than expected
The Location was very good the staff very friendly the breakfast was very good.
